Can a Tesla coil be made from 110 volt bug zapper...?
I've seen small ones made from double "AA" or "C" battery powered bug zappers. Does a 110 volt bug killer have the necessary electronics, capacitors, etc. to be used as a base power unit. I haven't been able to find plans for a Tesla coil using a bug killer any larger (more powerful) than the hand held battery powered type of bug killer. I would like to build a portable, yet impressive Tesla coil. Battery powered is preferred if it can be made with a dramatic display. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks
