Can An Employer Come To Your House To Interview You

If an employer shows you around the company during the interview does that mean you got the job?

I had an job interview at a nursing home and during the interview the employer showed me around the kitchen where I'll be working if I get the job and introduced me to the employees.

Can an employer make me remove a piercing?

I recently got a job with The Home Depot, and I have a tiny nose stud. During my interviews nothing was ever mentioned about it. Also when I went in to sign all the legal papers, not was mentioned. I was browsing through a book they gave me listing all the rules/dress code/etc and it says 'No visible facial piercings(including tongue, nose, and eyebrow).

I have always been told that the only way the can have you remove a piercing is if you either don't wear it during your interview or if you get it pierced after you've already been hired. Is this true? No one has said anything yet, and I'm hoping they wont, but can they require me to remove it after I've already been hired and they didn't mention anything before I accepted the job?

I have a job interview and my dad wants to come with me?

You dad can meet the employer but he shouldn't be a part of the interview process. When the employer meets your dad it shows that your dad cares about where his son is working and he will ensure that you will do a good job. But you should be alone in your interview. It shows your independence and ability to tackle situations on your own.

If you didn't get the job do most employers call you back to tell you that you didn't get the job after the interview?

In an ideal world yes they would, and I can tell you it’s a pain when you go to the effort of applying for a job and you hear nothing or you get the interview and then nothing. On one hand it seems so rude, after all you went to all that effort.Let’s take the two scenarios:you apply for a job you hear nothing back - normally what happens is that there are so many applications that they can’t reply to each one, so normally when you apply there will be a text saying “if you are a fit for the job we will contact you. If you don’t hear from us in 15 days you have not been successful.” Image how many applications they may get - there’s no way they could give a response to everyoneYou get the interview and you don't hear back. It could be that they don’t want to get into a conversation with you and you asking about feedback what could be improved etc. Thus rather than say anything they just say nothing.Sometimes the recruiter may give you feedback on behalf of the client (if you went to an agency)However by and large don’t expect a reply and just move on and realise this. Yes it is tough but once you get used to it, it won’t affect you so much
