Why won't YouTube recognize Flash Player under my roommate's account?

The backstory: My roommate's computer got a virus, so she uninstalled and reinstalled her Firefox browser. This was under her Windows 7 account. Then, after she installed Adobe Flash player, YouTube refused to recognize it. The YouTube home page keeps telling her she needs to install it. Only about half of the videos work. The other half of them just show a black screen with a message instructing her to install Flash player. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash, installing Java, restarting the browser, ensuring that all the add-ons are enabled under the Tools >> Add-ons menu, and installing RealPlayer's latest software. Nothing is helping. And oddly enough, everything in my Windows 7 account works just fine with no problems at all. What should I do? Thanks!

As a presenter, how can I stop Windows updates from running when I am trying to present in front of an audience?

Some background to my question.I have a Surface Pro 3 laptop that I use for presenting at conferences. I make sure my laptop is turned on and rebooted multiple times in the days leading up to the conference so that the Microsoft Windows updates should all be in place. Then, the day of the presentation, I book up the laptop and find MORE UPDATES! Right when I really need my laptop to be working. If I tell it to apply the updates later, the operating system becomes unstable. It is like Windows sulks if it can’t be applied right away.Any ideas as to how speakers and presenters like myself can solve this Windows update problem?

Why can't I play a Facebook game in my Google Chrome browser?

As stated in the earlier answer playing game online that too on Facebook requires Adobe Flash Player but all the latest version on Google Chrome has inbuilt Flash Player so if its the latest version of chrome then you need not install flash player from any other source but you can simply reinstall Google Chrome but even after reinstalling Chrome the problem still persists then you can install Non-IE Flash Player from Adobe's website https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/                                        ORhttp://filehippo.com/download_fl...Make sure to install stable version of Flash Player and not Beta version.  Thanks for A2A.

Will Windows XP still be good to use for 2018?

Yes, it should be just fine. Then again, unless you are running some really good security software, or are not connected to the Internet, you are vulnerable to a zillion computer attack vectors.Note: Older OSs are vulnerable. There are some general precautions that you can take. These are (in no particular order):Only go to trusted web sitesDo not do any financial actions, or bankingEnsure that you have copies of all System (WinXP) and application programs. Keep them all together in one box.If you can easily remove your HDD, then buy a second HDD & swap it in. Load WinXP onto it from your recovery media. Download all fixes that you can from Microsoft. This is your backup system disk.Have a backup HDD (they’re relatively inexpensive). Backup your data on a periodic basis (I suggest at least once a week.)OK, you’re ready. Here’s where things can go wrong:Pfishing eMails. (I got one of those today.) If you don’t know the sender, then don’t open it. Delete it.Compromised Web Sites. Even major newspapers’ web sites can be hit.Downloaded “free” programs. Do this only if you know & trust the source. Ex. An Adobe Flash update should ge sent by Adobe. If a web page says something like “Your version of Flash….”, Kill the page. If you need to, go directly to Adobe_dot_com.Banking. I’d suggest not doing it on-line with a WinXP machine.Note: IE will be useless. You will want to download Chrome, or Firefox, or another browser. Also, you will probably want to download Thunderbird. And, if you have the capacity on the machine & the cash, consider Win7 (Win7HP full retail sets are about $65 ~ $75 on eBay these days. You’ll have support from Microsoft for a year, or two more.//Update: Win7 full retail prices are breaking below $50 as of mid December 2017 on eBay//Here’s an example of a laptop with swappable HDDs & a backup HDD:Cheers.
