Can Anyone Breakdown The 5 Precepts

Explain "Perception is Reality"?

Some people believe the lunar landings to be a hoax, some believe the the earth is flat.... Is their perception in fact reality?

Reality exists, regardless of how one perceives it.

What does this line mean?

In 1963 President John F. Kennedy was murdered by rifle fire on a street in Dallas, Texas. The government insists, to this day, that Lee Harvey Oswald shot and killed Kennedy with three shots fired in three seconds from a window of a building, at a moving target, through the leaves of a live oak tree.

McManus was saying that he was a much better shot than Oswald was. In fact, he says that Oswald was not even very masculine, which is associated by some with shooting guns. I don't know why...the gun as extension of penis, maybe.

What does Deu. 22.5 really mean?

I do agree with this because it makes plenty sense.
I was raised under the misguided guidelines of this chapter. It didn't kill me but there were many cold days that I wish we could wear pants to keep our legs warm. Mom made us wear tights but we were still freezing. Tights and pants together would have kept the ice sickles off (smiling).

Hebrew 12 says our parents raised us the best they could with the knowledge they had and disciplined us for a time.

In correlation to that chapter and verse you gave is 1 Corinthians 14:40... Let all things be done decently and in order.

I also believe God had His prophet to write that statement for the simple fact that we have cross dressers and confused (want to be) folks about their gender.

Mom did not want me to come to her house with pants on as I grew up and got older to make my own choices. I told her I would not stop coming just because she felt like that. God loves me and not what I wear, so she should too! I told her my pants didn't condemn me because they were ladies apparel. i as dressed decent and not exposing myself nor parading around in men clothing. I had her to see what God really meant by this statement and she started wearing long johns and sweat pants under her gowns and long house coats.
Look at God! He is good all the time. Mom is gone on to glory and I know she received her crowns!

There is a way that seem right to man, but the end there of is destruction and hell. (Proverbs ?)

What do 33rd degree masons know that 3rd degree masons do not?

In proper, Blue Lodge or Craft Masonry there are only 3 degrees: Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, and Master Mason. However, upon being raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason, a Mason is eligible to join various Masonic "bodies" or "appendant orders". They are not Freemasonry, but they are what you might call "add-ons" or "sequels" to the Masonic journey, and a man who wishes to join must first be a Master Mason. This includes the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, which originated in France. Why is it called Scottish? Hey, nobody knows. It has nothing to do with aliens or Satan, though, let me assure you.  However, the Scottish Rite is a series of 29  one-act plays or "degrees" combined with some elaborate and beautiful ceremonies (no goats are sacrificed. Sorry, Conspiracy theorists).....and these degrees convey moral lessons. I won't reveal the secrets of these degrees, but one of them is based on a true story of three chaplains aborad a naval destroyer during WW2. The ship was hit by a torpedo and started to sink. There wasn't enough room or life jackets for everyone so these three chaplains gave up their spots on the life boat and their lifejackets to three sailors. They went down with the ship saying the Lord's Prayer. The 33rd degree is not even a degree. It's an honorary award given to a Mason who has devoted many years and service to the Fraternity, and who has been a credit to it. For instance, the actor Ernest Borgnine was a 33rd ("Mermaid Man" from Spongebob...he was also in that great film with Lee Marvin, "The Emperor of the North"....and another classic film, "Marty"). A friend of mine and Lodge Brother was recently awarded the 33rd degree for his many years of service to Scottish Rite Masonry. I could also tell you that there really is nothing all that astonishing or mysterious about this stuff, but the conspiracy nuts would not believe me and spread their silliness anyway. In any case, I hope I've answered your question adequately and I wish you much good fortune.

Which Buddhist practice should I start to learn and why?

The purpose of Buddhist practice is to reveal your highest potentials as a human being, transform hardships and sufferings and create valuable relationships. It is the practice that make you capable of revealing your Buddhanature.Manifesting your Buddha-mind or Enlightenment is the goal of all Buddhist schools, however they differ by the way to do so and how long it would take. Here is a quote from a Tibetan nun, Tenzin Palmo, who practiced meditation for 12 hours a day for 3 years (as mentioned in page 119 of her experience book Cave in the Snow) - but finally she said that:“I’ve hardly even started. There are a lot more barriers I have to break through in my mind. You see, a flash is not enough. You have to repeat and repeat until the realisations are stabilized in your mind. That’s why it takes so long - twelve years, twenty five years, a lifetime, several lifetimes”. (page 207, Cave in the Snow). This statement is valid for most Buddhist schools based on silent meditation, a practice unsuited to attain Enlightenment in this lifetime. So, if you aim at practical results in this reality of your life you have to explore Nichiren Buddhism based on chanting. Chanting is a practical easy and universal practice, which you can do anytime anywhere within your mind or verbally. Chanting harmonises the conscious mind with the field of Buddha-mind or Buddhanature, as its phrase Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo is the name of the Universal Law of Life, The Law of Cause and Effect, which is the essence of enlightenment to the true nature of life. There are few schools of Nichiren Buddhism which are based on strict system of authority of priesthood, and this prompted laybelievers in Nichiren teachings to disassociate with priests control, (and which also exist in all other schools of Buddhism) - and form an independent secular community, practicing modern Buddhism with no superstitious or feudal environment. This is the Soka Nichiren Buddhism (Soka stand for Creating Value) - and it is the most diverse school of Buddhism world-wide.Soka Gakkai International - USAand
