French invitation translation?

Salut,
Tu es invité à fêter mon anniversaire chez moi le 13 septembre de 21h à minuit. RSVP au 02.32.42.53.39

Maddy
It is not very polite to say until 12pm!
you should just say from 9pm " à partir de 21 heures"
it looks nicer!

Invitations in French.?

There are 2 different ways to say things in French, formal, and informal. Informal is like friends and siblings. Formal is teachers, adults and older persons. For an invitation, you should write it in the formal form, which would be similar to this:
Je vous invite à l'anniversaire de Maddy (I invite you to the birthday of maddy)
La date: Le douze septembre (The date: the 12th of september)
Le Temps: Vingt heures à vingt-quatre heures(The time: 20:00-24:00)
Où: 111 rue de Fake (Where: 111, or if you want to spell it out in french it would be cent onze, 111 fake street.)
RSVP is already french, it stands for Repondez s'il vous plaît so you can write either Repondez s'il vous plaît or R.S.V.P. by the way, Repondez s'il vous plaît means respond please.
I dont know how to say dress code, but heres the rest
Les filles (Girls) Les jupes (skirts) Des Garçons(Boys) le jeans(Jeans)
Hope that helped.

When inviting French friends in writing to a birthday party, is it polite to use the "tu" form if you don't know all the guests really well?

If you are speaking to each individual guest, it depends of your age. If you are like 25 years old or less, yes, that would be normal to use tu even with people you don’t know : they are peers, they are equals, they are young... If they were already your friend, whatever your age, I really don’t see why you would not tell them tu.You would say vous with people that are not so well acquainted with you. For example, you met a person when traveling, you are affectionate yet not really close friends either, you might rather say vous. You invite a teacher of yours, you would usually say vous. You invite your mother-in-law, unless you got familiar with her and really became part of her family, you would start with vous. That’s hard to explain every nuance of that. It’s like explaining the Japanese politeness system : -san, -kun, -sensei, -taicho, sempai/kouhai, first name, etc. In the French language, there are similar assumptions of respect and that is alone a culture to assimilate, so it is not really a purely linguistic appropriation you have to go trough but a cultural one. This comes with “participant observation”, like an anthropologist would do.Basically, when you stop perceiving youth and camaraderie in your interlocutor, you don’t allow yourself to say tu.You do pay more respect to an elder you are not so well acquainted with -> vousYou do pay more respect to a teacher, a coach -> vousYou are entitled to say tu to kids. Saying vous to one would be treating said kid like a royal prince.A full-fledged stranger, in which you don’t really perceive youth anymore -> definitely vousWhen you are speaking to many people at once, which is common in invitation cards since you often are speaking to a couple, then you don’t have to wonder at all : you write vous to address both, so it’s simple.
