What to expect at a hair salon interview?
Hope my answer is in time! Your interview process should be simple and you don't need a resume. They will ask about any experience you have and they just want to make sure you can perform basic functions. You will be answering phones and making appointments and probably be checking customers out at the front desk. You need to have good communication skills and be able to multitask a little. If you were interviewing for a stylist position, the interview would be more in depth. Your interview should be simpler. The absolute most important thing is image image image! Your image needs to be perfect. Do your hair and makeup professionally and you need to dress up. A skirt and blouse, pantyhose and heels would be proper or a nice blouse with long flare leg slacks that go all the way to the floor. A blazer is optional. You should wear nice high heels instead of flats. Wear a little jewelry and a light perfume. Be sure your teeth are bright white for a nice smile. You will interact with customers so look very professional. Also, your nails need to be polished and perfect. Acrylic nails are a good option if you have trouble growing your real nails or have trouble making them look nice. Your nails should be slightly long. Pull your hair back away from your face and be sure to make eye contact and smile! Good luck!
