Can Anyone Give Me Any Helpful Information About Ginseng

Is ginseng helpful for relieving anxiety?

Apparently, ginseng has a chemical called ginsenosides, which is what gives the herb the benefits that it has. However, there’s no evidence of that, so highly unlikely. However, some studies have shown that ginsenosides do have antioxidant properties because it increases internal antioxidant enzymes. And it has surprisingly many possible side effects that can make your anxiety worse, especially if you have certain conditions such as high blood pressure.Think of it this way - since there aren’t studies to confirm nor deny the benefits - eating spinach, although is relatively rich in iron, won't get rid of anemia. What you can do instead is go to a doctor and talk with him/her about your anxiety. It’s quite common, which is why doctors will give you advice that has more potential to work than just eating a herb.Anxiety is a serious issue that can affect your life in many ways. There’s nothing wrong in seeking professional help to have a good life. We all deserve that.

What does Korean Ginseng do?

Red ginseng

Red ginsengRed ginseng (Korean=홍삼, simplified Chinese: 红蔘; traditional Chinese: 紅蔘), is P. ginseng that has been heated, either through steaming or sun-drying. It is frequently marinated in an herbal brew which results in the root becoming extremely brittle. This version of ginseng is traditionally associated with stimulating sexual function and increasing energy. Red ginseng is always produced from cultivated roots, usually from either China or South Korea.

In 2002, a preliminary double-blind, crossover study of Korean red ginseng's effects on impotence reported that it can be an effective alternative for treating male erectile dysfunction.[18]

A study shows that Red ginseng reduces the relapse of gastric cancer versus control.[19]

A study of ginseng's effects on rats shows that while both White ginseng and Red ginseng reduce the incidence of cancer, the effects appear to be greater with Red ginseng.[20]

Falcarinol, a seventeen-carbon diyne fatty alcohol was isolated from carrot and red ginseng, shown to have potent anticancer properties on primary mammary epithelial (breast cancer) cells.[21] Other acetylenic fatty alcohols in ginseng (panaxacol, panaxydol, panaxytriol) have antibiotic properties.[22

Is Arizona Green Tea with Ginseng & Honey healthy?

Must be a pure”shait” for big money.I dont believe to any teabags of their quality.Ginseng in that drink is probably American one,but mixing a honey (even if you got a REAL one)with any fluids is simply Stupid.Ginseng has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. This slow-growing, short plant with fleshy roots can be classified three ways, depending on how long it is grown: fresh, white or red.Fresh ginseng is harvested before 4 years, while white ginseng is harvested between 4–6 years and red ginseng is harvested after 6 or more years. There are many types of this herb, but the most popular are American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius) and Asian ginseng (Panax ginseng).American and Asian ginseng vary in their concentration of active compounds and effects on the body. It is believed that American ginseng works as a relaxing agent, whereas the Asian variety has an invigorating effect (1, 2).Ginseng contains two significant compounds: ginsenosides and gintonin. These compounds complement one another to provide health benefits (3).Just my advice. If you like or need Green tea, just by a real whole leafs. If Ginseng, again from ebay China whole root(30–35 eur)Honey just from private bee owner who knows all Right processes about.Even when you got” Real stuff”keep that honey in non clear container, closed firmly and 5–10 c temperature. And as i told before, never ever mix with something especially hot fluids.Just take some small spoon with honey and swallow before or while you drinking a tea.And that's how you can get 99% of all benefits from this mix.Be god and healthy!

Why does ginseng have so many amazing health properties?

How does one know that he/she is an AstroTurfer? All galactic jokes aside, ginseng has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for many years, but we are now learning that the active ingredient in ginseng (ginsenosides) may not be as beneficial as we think. The major component of ginseng (ginsenosides) are triterpenoid saponin glycosides. It has been showed that when tested on small animals ginseng has:prolonged exercise timeStimulate protein synthesisInhibit platelet aggregationPrevent stress induced ulcersIncrease the activity of the immune systemThese amazing results (on the immune system) seem to be due to ginsengs natural killer cell activity and it's ability to enhance production of interferons. The actions of ginsenosides are due to enhanced nitric oxide synthesis in the endothelium of the lung, heart and kidney and in the corpus cavernosum. So is it effective?Currently the health benefits of ginseng have not been proven in scientific research, and the long-term use of ginseng is not recommended.Long term side effects include:HeachachesSleeping problemsDigestive issuesHowever, in 2009 there was a study done to show that ginseng (specifically the product Cold-fx) might help reduce the risk of developing the cold or flu if taken over a 3-4 month period. Health Canada confirmed that patients could experience reduced cold and flu symptoms. At the moment there are studies being done to explore the effects of ginseng on diabetes and blood pressure, but not enough research has been published to confirm this.Hope this has been helpful!ReferencesNCCIH (National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health): Asian Ginseng September 2016 (Accessed May 2017)Health Canada: Cold-fX gets Health Canada stamp of approval (Accessed May 2017)Clinical Pharmacology, Ginseng, Mechanism of Action (Accessed May 2017)

A friend of mine gave me a Ginseng plant that is blossoming (see photo), anyone be able to give me some idea of what should I do with it next? Some says I should put it into some water first to let it soak a lil before migrate to soil, is that true?

I don't think that is blossoming, it is sprouting. The folowing applies to most plants and growing things, so you should be OK.Those are the first few leaves of what could become a plant. It would not hurt to soak it in water overnight, or for a day while you go to work. Most seedlings and sprouts do best when thoroughly moist, so give it a good drink.Place it in a glass full of cool to luke warm tap water, near some natural light, keep the green bits above the water.Buy or find a pot and some potting soil. The pot needs to be big enough for the roots and bulb to stand in it with the green shoots remaining above the level of the earth. The pit should have a drain hole in the bottom.Put some gravel or rocks in the bottom of the pot so the roots can breath and any excess water will drain away. Put a small amount of earth in the pot.Place your seedling in the pot, holding it upright, with the shoots roughly level with the top of the pot. Do not fold or crush the bulb and rootlets, the rootlets should just barely be touching the small amount of earth in the bottom of the pot.Gently spoon, or by hand, fill the pot with soil keeping your plant in the centre of the pot. Dampen the soil lightly and gently, very gently, pack down the earth.Water it again, very wet, again, gently pack and top up the earth if needed.Put your new plant on a saucer, or jar lid, something to catch any future drips. Place it on a window ledge or table somewhere it will get themorning sun.Do not water it again until the soil on the top is dry to the touch. Then water throughly.Watch and wait. Within a few days you will know if you have grower. Either those tiny leaves will fill out and grow, or …they wither and shrivel.I know exactly zippy doo dah about ginseng, I am speaking only of basic plant care. You should probably do an internet search on soil mix, fertilization and care of ginsing, but this will get you started.
