Nitro vs brushless rc engines?

im going to make a custom truggy and i was wondering what might be a better setup for mostly street drag and a little dirt track racing. 2 7.7 nitro engines each with a rb innovations supercharger and nos or two really good brushless engines. p.s i dont know what a good brushless is so if you think brushless is better please say what king of engine an both the nitro and eletrice setups will be twin engine setups on a 1/8 scale truggy chassiss

What Is the best RC car for under $400?

$400 is a good amount to use. You can stick to well established brands where you can buy replacement parts with that money.Traxxas, Losi, Associated, Kyosho, Tamiya, Axial... - all of these have support and parts availability.I'd suggest a 1/10 scale off road car for general use. Most hobby tracks will be at this scale.Traxxas and Associated have models with brushless motors and 2.4 GHz transmitters in this price range, though any of these well reputed brands have decent vehicles far enough under that you can upgrade these.

Which RC do you like and why?

The top radio gear has been either Futaba or Spektrum, depending on which country you live in. Futaba was boss in most of the world except the USA. But they’re expensive.I have a Hitec Aurora 9 which I like a lot. Before that I had a Hitec Eclipse 7 Pro. I like Hitec a lot. They offer features others don’t. I believe they were the first with a touch screen on the transmitter as on my Aurora. It’s easy to program and firmware is upgradable. I can put flaps or retracts on a slider instead of a switch if I want. However when it comes time to change, I might go for a FrSky. Their base model has up to 16 channels and the firmware is OpenTx so you can play around with it yourself if you wish. New versions of firmware are appearing regularly. You can configure it on your PC or Mac and save the setups. The range is phenomenal. I’ve heard of people getting up to 10km. The price is much more reasonable than Futaba. I don’t think there’s anything you can do with a Futaba or Spektrum that you can’t do with a FrSky Taranis or Horus and there are lots of things you can do with FrSky that you can’t with the other two.
