Can Anyone Recommend A Good Video Card

Recommendation for a good Vista enhancing video card?

the ram is probably more of the problem. 512 mb for vista basic is bare minimum. 2gb is reccomended for vista premium and above.

i suggest maybe a geforce 8600GT. its only 109.99 at newegg i think, its pretty good. or maybe a 7 series card. they're pretty good as well.

for ati cards, idk. i dont know anything about ati besides the high end ones.

make sure your comp has either a AGP or a PCI-E x16 slot

Anyone Recommend a Graphics card for my HP p6320y? I think it has only 300w. I want to play on ultra detail.?

I have a HP p6320y and its a great computer except that I want to get more into computer gaming. I was interested in putting in a new graphics card since I am only running on the factory NVIDIA motherbord right now. The PC gets 300w I believe. (It would be great to figure out if it had more =))

Anyway -- I don't really want to buy a PSU b/c I am not a SERIOUS SERIOUS gamer. I just want somthing that will play Starcraft 2 on Ultra Detail.

Any suggestions on cards? I've been looking at a couple the only problem is that it needs 450w (average)

I would like to spend >$70.00 on it.

Also -- I don't think that RAM is an issue as far as me having to play the game on low detail. I have 8GB of ram installed as is with 16GB compatible.

Let me know and thanks a lot !
Timothy

What is a good video card for supporting 3 monitors?

The only mainstream video cards available right now that has native triple-monitor support are the DisplayPort-equipped versions of ATI's new Radeon HD5000-series of cards.

And the third monitor MUST be connected to the card's DisplayPort for triple monitors to work.

You will NOT be able to run triple monitors with the Vostro's onboard G45 graphics nor the older HD3000/4000-series or 9800GT discrete options that were originally offered with the Vostro 420. Absolutely none of them support triple monitors.

You want triple monitor support, you need to buy one of the DisplayPort HD5000-series, like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

Would like to know what is the difference between video card, capture card and tv tuner card?

Video card is what displays video on your monitor. Capture card you can plug in like a camcorder vcr or anything that u ses RCA to store as a video file on your comp. TV tuner card, is used to watch tv on your comp. it has a coaxial connector on the back so you'll plug the cable straight from the wall to your comp. If i were you i would look at the ati all in wonders. They are all three in one.

Is it my video card or something else? (LAG!!!)?

no, it's not the card, but there could be many, many reasons. one is your adding to many programs to the computer. Each program has a footprint meaning it runs in the background sometimes even when their not open. some footprints are larger than others and the more you have the slower your pc is. it makes for alot of trashing. defrag weekly and virus scan weekly also. I think you should clean your cookies and unused files too. this kind of stuff has a building effect over time and slows your pc down. 3.0 ghz proc. is good but you didnt say core duo so I take it is a solo. dou core is better and advised for gaming. hope this helps.

How do I choose good video cards for gaming?

Hey there,I recommend visiting Pick parts. Build your PC. Compare and share. It is an easy way to build a pc. And to answer your question. It depends if you are on a budget. You dont have to have a GTX 1080 for gaming. A GTX 1060 will also do just fine. You should also consider picking a compatible motherboard. There is nothing worse than having parts at home who dont support each other. So this is what you have to consider. You can find various guides on the Internet on how to build or pick parts for your pc. Therefore i would recommend a visit at Pick parts. Build your PC. Compare and share. There is also a subreddit dedicated to building a pc. Its: /r/buildapc - Planning on building a computer but need some advice? This is the place to ask! This subreddit helped me decide what parts I should use. Definitely helpful!I hope this helps in some way..Have a great day!

What is the ideal video card to have in a gaming computer?

There is no one ideal graphics card for all machines, but the best card you could get for any machine is a balanced one for the build. Soending all your budget on one part is never a good idea, even for the CPU and GPU.However, if you are wanting a card that will work for most machines and be a good choise, I would recommend the RX 580 8gb. Against it's Nvidia counterpart, the GTX 1060 6gb, it's cheaper, trades blows performance wise, but has better and longer driver support, so the card will slowly get better and better as time goes on.
