Can Anyone Tell Me The Employment Rate Of The University Of Melbourne

If I go to the University of Melbourne or the Monash University for a master's degree in early childhood education, will I be able to find a decent job in Australia?

It's tough. If you are not a permanent resident / citizen, it is a lot harder to get an ongoing position with a reputable organisation. You also need to be able to convince employers that you are better than any other candidates in terms of communication, interpersonal skills, on top of the typical skills and requirements.Additionally, I've heard from people taking those courses that it would be a prettyyyy difficult thing to gain employment after graduation. Just supply / demand stuff. More education graduates than what the sector hires. I've also heard that it's usually a case of being overworked and underpaid.

How does Monash University compare to University of Melbourne?

As a current student at Melbourne Uni and have been previously heavily involved with Monash during my highschool years.I can tell that both unis are very similar to each other based on the questions that you have asked.Monash uni have a lot more students (due to its many courses on offer so in a way Monash is more diverse), a larger campus and a more modern feel to it. The main Clayton campus is not in the heart of the city but it’s accessible to public transport.Melbourne uni main campus Parkville is in the heart of the city. The campus is quite old giving you a feel of Howart almost. But since i’m a Commerce student, I study mostly in a very modern and new building.Looking at the academic programs it really depends on your course. Melbourne uni accounting major is top 15 in the world. That’s one of the reason that I have chosen melbourne over Monash. And looking at the employability perspective, it really depend on the employer. They may see a Melbourne degree as highly employable and desirable or they may not. The degree may only get your foot in the door. A more certain way of increasing your chance of being employed is getting active and involve pass your studies at uni and develop your socialising skills. My final advice is for you to attend any lecture (since they do not check your name or who you are) and spend a day on the campus just walking around to see a life as a uni at both campus.Thank you for reading this and I hope this is helpful to you.

How is Deakin University (in Melbourne)?

I can answer this question from an international student perspective. I am currently in my final year of Master of Information systems at Deakin. Even though Deakin is not one of the group of 8 universities in Australia, it is no less than any premier institute. I was in a dilemma on which course or University to select for my masters. I have a vague idea of the course I want to get into but I have no clue regarding the university. I had offers from Monash University (Master in Management), Australian National University (Master of Management), University of Queensland (Master of business), Macquarie University (Master of management) and Deakin University (Master of information systems). As you can see that most of my course are related to either business or management but I am not able to decide which Uni to get into.I really do not want to take a huge loan and end up repaying loan for a decade. Hence I have selected Deakin which is equally good as other universities but has relatively low fee structure. Now there are plethora of opportunities at Deakin such as on campus internships, Deakin Abroad internships/exchanges, Peer mentoring, student connect programs, Deakin talent, Deakin University Student Association and employability workshops. Deakin is really developing its activities and programs focussing more on International students. Many of my batch mates have got internships in reputable companies with descent pay. I believe that your success depends on your hard work and effort rather than University at least in Australia.
