What is your opinion about Ravi Shastri's statement about Ravindra Jadeja's fitness?
It reminds so much of the past cricket teams in 90s especially subcontinent teams hiding their “almost fit” cricketers and getting exposed later during the tours. 19 players went to Australia this time which is a record in itself. Imagine the expense per player in Australia for 2 months, that too for an unfit player which is an utter wastage of resources. The team is in a mess now and there is a kind of chaos now around media and spokespersons of ICT. Shastri giving contradictory statements to Captain Kohli. I would still give India an edge in the series but this team is so haywire, loud-mouthed and irresponsible that I fear that India will lose this series too. If this happens, as Mr. Gavaskar said, lot of questions will have to be answered. The captain and coach are so consumed that they claimed their team to be the best travelling team while losing an away series 4–1. Captain defending that the series was closer than the scoreline suggests marks that they do not concede the defeat fully. Mind boggling selection blunders, even in last Perth test match which any naive cricket fan would mark, cocky statements in the media, unnecessary duels with the Aussies, long tail, batsmen not ready to spend time on crease, injuries of Prithvi, Ash, Jadeja etc. are encircling this team. Imagine a captain dropping a respected batsman for his strike rate in Test cricket where matches are finished in 4 days now, Jadeja not given a rope even as the last left spinner in the squad, these things would mar their confidence certainly. Imagine the embarrassment if they lose the series after winning the opening test match for the first time in the history. Even if they win, I am absolutely against Kohli as a captain and more against forever drunk Shastri as a coach (Imagine a coach saying “gote muh me aa gye the”) . The unceremonious exit of Kumble just because of Kohli somewhere hurts as to there never will be a bigger match winner than Kumble for India. Such is the respect for man.

First of all there are many good options but most important thing is WILL KOHLI ACCEPT THIS. After all he is a captain of indian team. Do you really think ravi shastri is better than kumble. Even rahul dravid denied to coach senior team and choose to coach young national team because he know these kids will have less ego and they will understand the coach advice.We are talking about indian cricket which produced so many great players but not a single one of them is better coach than Ravi shastri. Really…! . Fact is that our players need someone who don’t guide them just need a robot who blindly follow them. You know only good thing about this team is that it has best bowling unit. But this is because of hard work of bowlers and Coach ANIL KUMBLE NOT RAVI SHASTRI. But unfortunate thing is that he took credit of this. He said india is very near to be best overseas touring indian team then we lost the next match then he said we are best visiting team of last 10–15 years. So Now after a defeat this team become best . If this is true then after tour of england and australia this team will become greatest test team of all time.

Srinivasan, from MS Dhoni to Virat kohli and so on(only Sourav Ganguly was unpurchasable by Sir Ravi by any means).I was hardly 8 years old and shastri was trolled in every ground he came to play for because of his slow and monotonous batting (even in Mumbai, people shouted “go back Ravi Shastri”, he started dating Amrita Singh (mind it, it was 80s and this Society was very much conservative).But, no! Stop here!One fine morning,shastri announced “I won't ever marry an actress. I want someone who will prioritize my home”.Later, under pressure of Dr. Jayadrath Shastri, a renowned doctor in Mumbai, he was forced to marry Dr. Ritu Shastri(Singh).They had a daughter and after 22 years of marriage, Shastri filed a divorce.For the time being,as per the media news, he is dating actress Nimrat Kaur(only 21 years younger than Shastri) and probably as Ravi doesn't like actress wife, Nimrat was last seen against Akshay kumar in Airlift in big screen more than 2 years ago(her performance in Lunchbox was the best, I recokn).So, probably Ravi Shasrti is in a relationship. He doesn't get to play in their behalf and can only provide gyaan, something that is all too commonplace in our country.Would India have not been in this condition had Dravid been the coach instead of Shastri?
