Can Dogs See Adequately Out Of Tinted Car Windows

Can dogs see adequately out of tinted car windows?

My dog loves car rides and going with me on errands. During errands I keep the windows cracked and the car locked. I am thinking of tinting the windows to control the summer heat and we have had dog thieves in our city breaking the car windows and stealing dogs. So, I think if I get the windows tinted he would be safer. I know that dogs eyes see differently than people. Will he still be able to see out of tinted car windows? I don't want to lessen his enjoyment of car rides and need to keep him secure.

Can I Leave My Dog In The Car?

If that's 'wrong' then I'm just as guilty!! Obviously common sense has to come into how long, when etc. but we take our hounds with us whenever we can, including when we go out to lunch and they both sit in the car, with the windows either partially down, or the split tailgate we have up (and no, they can't climb out - my Whippet is crated, and it would be impossible for my Basset to get out via the gap). I don't take them if the sun is likely to be out, or no shade or the temperatures are going to be high. So as far as I'm concerned, what you are doing is perfectly acceptable.

I think most people are worried about dogs being left in cars for hours, with nobody checking on them. This is what people don't like - me too!

Add - Water I do leave, but food? Other than a Bonio (biscuit) when we leave, I can't see a dog is going to starve to death in 30 minutes - 1 hour.
Strange reaction you've had already btw.

Has anyone flooded a hotel room? Im being charged 1500$, how should I dispute this?

Yikes! You may have been injured or you could have drowned at the neglect of this hotel that allows its guests to fall asleep with the water running. They should have warned you. You say that it is alleged so that means that there may be another reason for this happening. I believe that they will only pursue this issue as long as they feel they will not have to pay. But once they see that pursuing this will only cost them more money they will back down quickly. Get a lawyer to send them a letter saying that he will be taking the case and that he needs some information from them and they will back off quickly.

Or you can just pay your bills and drink some coffee before you take a bath.

Floridians -- What do you do about leaving electronics in your hot car?

I'm going down to Florida soon and I want to get an in-dash navigation system. But it will get very hot inside the car when I park it and go into work for ~8 hours, cooking whatever is inside. So for those of you in Florida in the summer, what do you do? Does no one in Florida use a GPS/navigation system?
