Can Ducks Remove The Biks

How do you remove a bike chain?

Most bikes without derailleurs have master links. There are two styles of these: the two-piece, which can be opened without tools by flexing the link with your fingers until the plate pops off, and the three-piece, which has a clip that needs to be slid off, using screwdriver or pliers, allowing the plate to fall off. The photo is a three piece master link.Derailleurs don't play well with these types of master links. Several chain manufacturers do provide another type that is compatible with derailleurs. It's always worth looking for them before you get out the chain tool.SRAM derailleur chains for bikes with up to eight gears have silver "Powerlinks" that can be opened and closed by hand. Their nine-speed chains have gold links with the same feature. Their ten- and eleven-speed chains have black "Powerlock" links that are not meant to be reopened. These links are easy to spot on a chain. The power links can almost always be opened by hand, if you're determined enough. If not, a pliers, held diagonally across the link can be used to force it to slide to the open position. Some tool companies sell tools designed to do the same job. I have one in the shop but it rarely gets used.KMC, a big Taiwanese chain manufacturer that makes chains for many other brands, sells links similar to the Powerlink. They call theirs "Missing Link" and they cover the range up to 11 speed.Wipperman calls their slightly different design "Connex." They offer thwem for up to 11 speeds.

Should I remove the tire when truing my road bike wheel?

I always remove the tire when truing a rim. I remount the wheel on the frame because I have no jigs for truing the wheels. I spin the wheel and steady a marker against the forks moving it towards the rim until it ticks to indicate places the rim is out of true. This works for both sideways and vertical.I normally expect the tape covering the spoke ends to be decayed. After the wheel is true and the spokes are all at the same tension I let it rest 1 day. You can tell if the spokes are equal tension by the note they make or you can use a tension gauge. I don’t have a tension gauge because they are expensive($100.00?).Try not to over tighten the spokes because it makes it harder to get the rim true. Spokes that are too loose normally give you a wheel that will feel loose and floppy as you are truing it. The one day rest lets any spokes and the rim relax a bit, sometimes the tension will change, sometimes the change is enough to make the wheel untrue again.Using a ribbon of old innertube instead of the thin tape for covering spoke ends works well, I just slice an old inner tube into a ribbon the long way around and cut a hole in it for the valve stem to poke through. One important thing to remember is to slack the opposite spokes to the ones you are tightening enough to compensate. If you just try tightening to pull a rim sideways you can pull it out of round by creating to much tension at that point.

How do you remove a bicycle crank?

It depends upon what sort of bike you have, but most bikes these days have alloy cranks that are pressure fitted on to the bottom bracket axle. To remove them, you have to remove the crank fixing bolt first, and then screw a crank removing tool into the larger set of threads that sit next to where the crank fixing bolt just was. The removal tool has two parts: the part with threads on the outside that you screw into those larger threads just mentioned, and a smaller piece that looks like a fat bolt (and which sometimes has a handle on it). Once the bigger part is screwed into those big threads, you take the other "bolt" looking piece and thread it into the other one until it makes contact with the end of the bottom bracket axle. Then, keep tightening that part until it pushes the crank off the axle.By the way, when you replace the crank and tighten down on the fixing bolt, you might find that after you have ridden it for a few hours it becomes loose again. This is because the alloy is relatively soft. Simply tighten it some more and you will be set. This happens mostly with new cranks.

How do I remove gearbox from bike engine?

is it a harley davidson, or certain other types of bikes that have separate gearboxes? (HD is all i can think of right now…sorry).in which case, just remove requisite joining straps, mounts, plates, whatever…or is it like 99.9% of other (real) bikes?short of an angle grinder, youre tough out of luck…and, other than the twostrokes, you would also have to figure out a way to retain oil in the crankcase, as most bikes share engine and gear oil. the suitable height for the oil… filtering and pumping it, a sump, etc…oh, aprillia i think makes bikes with “cassette” gearboxes, that can be removed in one piece as an assembly so that the owner can change ratios relatively easily…but it just slips into the engine case, the case itself still has to be split completely to gain access to the other bits such as primary gears, clutch, etc.rather than ask questions on a site like quora, which will never give you full technical details, especially as you dont say WHAT TYPE OF MOTORCYCLE, try searching online for the SERVICE MANUAL, that will give you step by step details on how to service the engine in its entirety.

Removing aluminum tape?

Ok so I'm making a solar cooker using an old satellite dish. I saw some videos that spray painted the dish with paint before putting aluminum tape on it and making it smooth. I did the same thing. But I'd never spray painted before and brought the can too close to the satellite dish and the paint trickled a lot, and I didn't think it was important. Well, after putting the aluminum tape on, it made a big difference. This is a school competition, and I need extra credit, and the thing has to be completely smooth for it to work. Is there any way to remove the aluminum tape? It has an adhesive similar to masking tape I think. After I remove it, I want to sand the paint off then just not repaint and put the aluminum tape on it. How can I remove the tape? Thanks for the help!

How to fix a bulge in my bike tire?

You need to remove the wheel and deflate the tube. Break the bead away from the rim on both sides and apply some dish soap and water mix to lube the tire bead. Pressure it up about half way then deflate and then pressure it up again. The bulge is caused by the bead not being seated properly.

Does cycling help to remove belly fat faster? If so, how?

Yes, Cycling is the best and safe cardio (without effecting your knees and bones) among one of the ways for removing belly fat. At the same time, you need to do some kind of body weight workouts too. If you do only cycling for 30 mins it will not have that impact on you body. You do need some sort of strength training too. Even body weight training will suffice. So once you are done with 30 mins cycling as advised by rest of my friends, get some time out and do 10 reps x 3 of (squats, chair dips, push ups and basic crunches). Give yourself good stretch may be of 5 mins once you are done with all the exercise.Cycling will tone our hips, abdominal area and butt and keep us in good shape but we do need some sort of strength workouts too. The day you miss your cycling as I usually do during monsoon, you can do skipping (medium pace) at home.Avoid junk food like Cakes and pastry and refined flour. All the best.Regards, Vik
