Can I Adopt Children If I Am On S.s.i.

Can I adopt children if I am on S.S.I.?

I got married young to my life partner and we have 2 adopted children and I love it my
husband has struggled with mental health problems .if you want my view wait a few years because its hard to adopt any way but to do it alone is very hard the System is horrid you get messed around I would hate to do it alone.if you have a job then you can adopt and if you are on benefits you normal can but it depends on how much money you get but if that's is the only money you get then its very unluckily

Should I give my child up for adoption ?

I'm crying right now because I feel like I can't efficiently be a parent to my son. I grew up in a shitty family, without love or support. I'm actually the black sheep/scape goat, went out in the world looking for love only to end up involved with a guy that was just using the baby and I as a means of survival for himself. Once I broke up with him he disappeared and got into a relationship with this coworker I always thought he had a thing for. I think she is part of the reason he doesn't help care for our son but also his family doesn't really want anything to do with him either so it just makes it easier for his dad not to come around. Anyways I lost everything (job, house, car) and now luckily stay with family but I'm the only one working so obviously someone has to watch my son. Hes autistic so hes a handful its putting alot of stress on my sister's relationship. I'm paying her though so it seems like she can't handle a job because she's used to living off SSI and her partner suffers with mental illness I'm afraid they're mean to my son when I'm not around. I want to give up. I made a dumb decision bringing my child into the world it was selfish of me. Now I'm at a point i feel like maybe he deserves more than i can give him emotionally financially idk someone please give me some advice I'm just tired of life already.

Can you adopt children if your on S.S.I.?

Yes you can and you can foster also. Of course it would depend if you can pass a physical exam and the doctor OK"s you as capable to foster and adopt. I have known several who were approved and were quite capable.

YES~~~~

Can you adopt a child if you have a criminal record?

Depends on what type of adoption - most international programs will not allow criminal records UNLESS they are minor misdemeanor crimes (petit larceny, trespass, etc.) and the time between the crime and adoption are LONG (15 to 20 years) and the fine was satisfied. For domestic… I would think private adoption would probably be out of the question.. but again it depends on the agency, etc.For public domestic adoption - it is likely that depending on the length of time since the crime/conviction and the nature of the crime it is possible that you could still be given the opportunity to adopt. It is very likely that a long ago youthful indiscretion (A or B Misdemeanor) will not bar you from adoption if your life is sufficiently rehabilitated. What I HAVE seen is ANY crime involved drugs, alcohol (DUI/DWI) any violent offense, domestic violence, assault, rape or attempted rape OR any crime that would result in having to register as a sex offender would not be allowed. Drug and alcohol crimes are very serious - but a minor pot (possession with no intent to sell or being found in possession of a small amount) violation from college days MIGHT be ok.The key in these circumstances is to be honest and upfront about the crime, how you made amends (fines, restitution, etc.) and what you learned from the experience are what will make the difference. Naturally - not having any other convictions will be a big plus.Good Luck!

Can I consent to have my child adopted to avoid child support?

Unbeknownst; to me, my daughter Catherine Nicole Hughes (Lozano) Jarrell, was adopted, by (unwed, to me; babymother, Rebecca Kathleen Jarrell (Lozano). Rebecca’ s first husband, name is on the birthcertificate, of my Daughter Catherine Nicole, which i named. At St.Luke's Hospital, downtown, Houston 4 days after the delivery on my fourth day visit, to see my child for the first time( the nurse came in and suggested that i may see my child, on day 4) Rebecca,  smiled and said, “ i figuring out if i going to put your name on the birthcertificate or not.) She ended up putting LOZANO (my daughter refers to as an, pedophile) Rebecca Kathleen Jarrell divorce d Lozano he pays child support for his ex-wife Rebecca K. Jarrell. In Texas, i will pay for the next 72.5 years or jail/prison i saw my daughter as an infant and 2016 again Teague, Texas. BOYD Unit prison. i never was asked/consented to an adoption. Since, i became homeless i missed some payments(i filed child support, on myself. Took the class in the Woodlands, Texas . i was paying cash ~$4000 total she was receiving TANF, paid it back. My child support, case was dismissed. I filed, again. Took, the class, again near Greenspoint and Beltway 8 Harris County. et cetera. Since i have paid consistently since ~2003 $100/month they have increased, it to $121, because with at one time 10% interest on interest, on back pay and principle, i owe an ever increasing $32,000. On Social Security Disability (mental) i owe more than i have earned at a job and Rebecca Kathleen Hughes’ lawyers the Woodlands, Texas office Kalish, drew a line through EVERY visitation religious preference doctor treatment education direction access i never had with Assistant District Attorney

My sister died and I am thinking of adopting her child. What benefits can I apply for to help with the costs?

Most places in USA you can typically get free breakfast and lunch and snacks at the school. In low-income districts, where I lived, they would literally give us boxes of food, canned stuff, for long weekends, any weekend, and load me and the kids up with fruits and such. Even if the kid didn’t like it, I would eat it to cut down on costs (this was with fostering).Clothes can be gotten at goodwill or on sale. Old Navy has ridiculous sales sometimes for new things, i’m talking $1 for some garments.A lot of programs for after school stuff are free to try out and or very low cost. Also kids don’t need a million activities. Or toys. A lot of toys can be cheap/free, and reusable. Drawing stuff, play doh (depending on age) can entertain for hours, as can a cheap tablet.Libraries are endless sources of free kid-related actives. Help get you both out of the house.Good for you! It will emotionally heal both of you more than likely. Get yourselves both a good therapist, I know they cost money, but most work places at least have a counselor, and school counselors are psychologists. Talk through both of your feelings during this time.Good luck!
