I really want to become a police officer in the US.?
I am a female from Norway. I really want to become a police officer in America. It has been my dream for so long. And I will do anything to become something I want to be and to follow my dreams. Nobody belives in me, not even my family. They say I am stupid for even thinking of this. I am not american, like I said I am from Norway. Raised and born. I am planing on joining the military here in Norway after highschool. But my question is - is all of this possible for me? To become a police officer in the US, and to be a citizen of America? I would be very thankful for the people answering my question.

Do residential addresses mean permanent addresses?
It may mean same if the address that you are currently staying is same as that of your permanent address.If, however, you are staying at an address for more than 6 months which is different from your permanent address, this will be considered as current address and for the purpose of passport process, the police verification will be carried out at both the addresses.

Yes, You can change it only before the payment, after the payment you can not.In case any change in your in submitted form, when your going for an appointment on Stage 2 or Level 2 PSK Officers verify your applications with you. There are so many versions of this same question on Quora :)I’ll answer this as someone who works in Tech and has many friends in Finance. I spent the last 6 years working for Linkedin in Silicon Valley on an H1B. I would not trade this for anything. The experience and learning cannot be matched and California is pretty close to paradise on earth.For people in Tech and Finance if you get a chance to work in NYC, SanFran or Silicon Valley take it. The friends you will make and the work you will do will define you forever. Yes, the world is changing new centers of tech and finance are emerging but for now California and NYC rule.Life is meant for exploration, adventure, experiences and to live free. The H1B visa is a highly restrictive visa and people from certain countries can find themselves stuck in it for a decade and maybe more.The point I’m trying to make is only choose it if the job and location in the US is worth it. In the end I got a PR from Canada and moved to Toronto. I love my life there and enjoying the freedom.And on the point of Australia, I have spent a lot of time in Sydney it is a beautiful country. Unfortunately the tech industry there is very limited you’ll find numerous posts on Medium and Fast Company to this point. How can an American legally carry a gun in Mexico?
You can’t unless you are some sort of law enforcement officer with special permission from the Mexican government to be armed in their country.Mexican gun laws are very restrictive…especially for carrying outside your home. If you went through the process to become a permanent resident, you could POSSIBLY get permission to own a gun, but you would not be able to carry it outside your home.Here is the workaround though if you are an American who wants to be in Mexico with some security: hire armed security to follow you around while you are there. You would be surprised how affordable that can be.
How can I get my permanent address printed on my passport if I have selected present address for RPO?
Whatever address is mentioned in the ID and Address proofs, the same is printed on the passport. This is the case when present and permanent address happen to be similar. With this, a verification from the police is carried out to check if you are living at the mentioned address or not.However, if the permanent address is different from the present address, then avoid mentioning the permanent address in the passport application so that it doesn’t get printed.
