Can one get a Texas ID card even if their driver's license has been suspended?
YES. In fact that happens to be my exact situation. My lawyers are working with DPS to restore my license, but for banking and other purposes you need an official ID. So one of my lawyers told me to go to driver license office and apply for an ID card. It works for buying plane tickets, getting into bars, buying firearms or ammo, voting, and everything else a license is for EXCEPT DRIVING. It explicitly states on the front that “THIS IS NOT A DRIVER LICENSE”. Because in other states it may pass for one. But to cash checks or buy firearms or enter bars & buy liquor or cast a vote at a polling place the Texas ID card will be adequate. It certifies your AGE, name, date of birth, state of residence and physical address. Go down to the DPS office, (the driver license office), and tell them you want a “Texas ID card”. Wear a decent shirt and fix your hair because they will shoot the photo for the ID card right then and there. Bring a birth certificate or other proof that you are who you say you are, even a suspended driver license is still proof of identification. Because the driver license may be suspended, but your identity is not suspended. You are STILL THAT PERSON.

This is why you should always print at least 2 copies and keep them in separate places and also save the email. you can go to the station, take the credit card you used to purchase the ticket, and your I.S. and hopefully, they can look it up for you.

Happened to me. The procedure is very easy. 1) Call Du to block the existing card 2) Upon your return, go to any Du branch and ask for a replacement. It costs 25 dirhams and takes less than 5mn - all you need is your National ID.
My ID will expire in December can I still fill taxes with old ID?
Ummm good question but I am pretty sure you can as long as you have your birth certificate and social security card to match up with it. My id was expired for years and I am sorry but I cant remember them even asking to see my id (in texas) and if they did it was not a big deal because I have received a tax return every year.
Wells fargo bank will not cash my paycheck without 2 id's?
Wells Fargo is weird. They asked me for 2 forms of ID for my account. I went to the bank and the officer copied my credit card in addition to my D.L. I then got a letter a week later saying they had canceled my account. You would probably be better off getting a free account from a credit union. If you don't have a credit card take a copy of your birth certificate. That way you can probably have your check direct deposited into your account.
