Can I Be Sued By My Work

Can I be sued for posting a video of myself working out?

It's possible that you posted a video performance so insane they needed to take immediate and corrective action to remove it.  But, seriously. It sounds like Beachbody is just exercising its intellectual property muscles in an aggressive and extreme manner, much like its hardcore workout videos. You essentially have three options: 1) take it down, 2) don't take it down/ignore their threats, handle it on your own and deal with the consequences, 3) hire a lawyer at a few hundred dollars an hour to fight an adversary much stronger and with more resources than you. There are a few things in life you learn about the law: Sadly, it's not always (or even usually) about who's right that ultimately wins the day, but who is smarter and who has the bigger resources. Avoid litigation. Listen to your fight or flight instincts. And if it's worth fighting for, then fight like your life depended on it. Take all that pseudo advice with a grain of salt. Because you can't rely solely on Quora answers to figure it all out. Good luck!

Can I get sued by my previous partner if I use our ideas and works to make my startup alone?

As long that u have some sort of documents proving that you do not copy his codes (your source code will do) and then go file the copyright over the codes.Remember, "copyright protects expression, NOT ideas". Source code is a form of expression. But no one can sue you over ideas

Can I get sued for no call no showing?

So long story short, I got a better job. My older employers were a bunch of abusive ******* so I want to cause them at least a little trouble. Just something like no call-no showing for my next shifts. And maybe picking up the phone, telling them I'm on my way, and still not showing up.

Could I get sued for this douchery?

Can I be sued for this car accident ordeal?

My daughter used my car to go to work and was also giving her coworker a ride to work. They got in a car accident and her coworker didn t make it. The police report says she passed a stop sign but they don t have proof so no charges can be filed. But they also found that the other person was speeding and was texting and driving. Which is illegal in our state. (Texas) the mother of her coworker is trying to sue me because I let my daughter use my car because she s not on the insurance. (She has a license.) it was something that I hadn t gotten around to do because her own car had broken down the day before. (She had insurance for her own car) I lent her my car for that day.

Can I be sued for this? And what s at stake?

Can a minor be sued by an employer for “no call, no show”?

I recently started a job at Dairy Queen, and for personal reasons I’m no longer wanting to work there and I desperately need to quit. But I’m a very nervous and shy person and since this is my first job I’m very scared about calling and quitting (my family are insisting that I handle this by myself). So my plan is to just not show up anymore. But I was wondering if I can be sued for that even though I’m a minor. The job pays minimum wage and I have worked there a week and a half if that makes any difference

In California, can I be sued by my company for having a second job or starting a company while employed by them?

When you start a job, you sign an assignment of inventions and a non-disclosure agreement. This means that any intellectual property related to your work that you create during that period is assigned to your employer. It also means that any of your employers intellectual property, including any you create yourself, must not be disclosed to anyone else.In California, these contracts are enforceable, although their interpretation is relatively kind to the employee. Your employer can't claim ownership of intellectual property you create on your own time, with your own resources, that it can't claim are in its general area of business. So, if I were to create an iPhone game on my home machine in my evenings, my employer has no claim because they don't sell games or anything related. If I create a new FPGA placement tool, they have a claim even though its only tangential to my job because its related to their business. This gets tricky. You should consult a lawyer. This is very different from a non-compete agreement, which is generally void except in certain very special cases.
