How to block text messages spam?
If you are using Yahoo!Classic email, I don't remember. If you have the improved version, go to "Options" (upper-right corner). A drop-list appears -- choose the first entry "Mail Options". On the next drop-list, choose the 3rd item, "Spam". On the next screen, the 3rd subject is "Blocked Chat IDs". You can block chats from just certain specific people (you create the list), or do what I do, block chats from anyone who is not on your contact list. That works great -- if someone I know tries to send me an IM and can't get thru, they can phone me or email me, and I can add them to my contact list in a heartbeat. I haven't had a spam chat since I did this.

I too have received invitations from Shtyle.fm fortunately for me it came from an email address I did not know. I deleted it. Over the next few days I received several more. This made me suspicious and I did some checking. From what I've found out, when someone signs up on Shtyle they have to give them the password to their email account. This should be a red flag warning that something isn't right. One should NEVER give out passwords. Any place that demands it cannot be 100% legitimate and should not be trusted. I know that many people like it and see no problem with handing over their information, I suspect they will live to regret it. As you surmised, they used your password to access your online email addresses and are sending out invites. At best this is plain rude, They will probably continue to do this for as ling as they can, First; change your email password so they can't get anymore addresses. This may invalidate your account with them but I'd call that a small loss considering their behaviour. Second; if you really want to join places like that. Create an online email at "Live.com" or "Hotmail" but DO NOT create an online address file with it. As for what has happened already, I'm afraid all your friends may have to change their email addresses to stop it completely. In the interim they can set up a rule in their email to send anything from Shtyle.fm directly to the deleted items file and make sure that it is set to empty it upon exiting. If they are work addresses then hopefully their company has a good IT person that can stop the spam in its tracks. Third; get yourself the best anti-virus/anti-spam/anti-spyware software you can afford. If you are not sure, ask a professional tech. Someone like a Geek Squad person. For the future, be suspicious. NEVER give out any passwords or personal information on a social network site. Treat your web browsing as a walk through a mine field. Or the same way you would a phone call asking for a credit card number. That may sound paranoid but sadly that is what the net has become. There is no way for you, the user, to know what is going on or who is on the other end.

Changing your email address is a bit drastic, you'd have all the hassle of informing all your contacts etc. Have your got graphics turned off? If you haven't and you open one of those emails it sends a message back to the porn site that your email address is live, so you get more spam. When the spammer gets the signal that your email address is live, they will sell your email address to other spammers. Do you mark them as spam so Yahoo knows to send mail from that address to the spam folder? You can mark all 20 in one go if you tick the box next to each email that looks like spam, and then send them all to the spam folder. If you never open the spam emails (or only open them with graphics turned off) the spammers will eventually conclude that your email address is not live and they will stop. It's safest to have graphics turned off on your email account. You can turn it on again for an individual email after you have opened it and know it is safe.
Blocked someone on facebook MESSENGER Cannot unblock?
I blocked a friend from sending me messages for a short period of time. Facebook website says to go to a previous conversation and you can unblock that way but i had Deleted all the threads and archives so there s no conversations between us. Now I can t unblock them. The person did not block me (confirmed) when I go to his page the messenger is greyed out. When I search his name it does not come up. How do I unblock? Remember this is not blocked on Facebook this is blocked on the Facebook messenger. We are still friends on Fb.

I have been getting texts for that website for the past 3weeks. I get alteast 4 a week. My boyfriend traced the ip address that was listed in the message and it came up in spotswood,nj. Is this where it is actually coming from or is this just where the website is? Please if anyone has a serious answers or knows how I can find out who it is that keeps sending me messages please help me out it's extremely frustrating
