Should i get the metal braces or ceramic ones?
I recommend the metal ones. They're most likely cheaper and quicker. While ceramic ones are less noticeable, they tend to stain. I have metal ones right now and they don't hurt too bad and I'm sure ceramic is just the same. I'm sure they clean the same, too. Talk to your dentist/orthodontist to see which option is right for you.

nope! i have my septum, four on each ear, and my industrial, my webing under my tongue, and my smiley&frowny. two with pure silver barbells, various ones with stainless steel, a gold plated one, and a metal one. and i've never set off an alarm.
