Can I Call And Leave A Message For A Prisoner At An Arkansas State Prison

How do I write a letter to help someone get out of prison?

There are a few things to remember when writing a letter on behalf of an inmate, and the following suggestions are merely from helping those in need and by no means is legal advice.Keep in mind there are thousands of correctional facilities in the United States and thousands of Judges, each may require something a little different. In general however always be respectful and factual.Include:Inmates Name and Inmate Number and Correctional FacilityHonorable Judge and or Honorable Parole Board (include address)Dear Honorable Judge (Name),My name is (include your name). A quick introduction, who you are, your position in the community and how long you have known the inmate. Your relationship with the inmate.State precisely the points you want to make. The value the inmate has as a free person and if true, the hardship if any on the family. Include any contributions the inmate has provided to the community, the church, the family. If the inmate has a stellar or healthy past other than the crime that placed the inmate in prison, give factual examples. Also include the achievements or steps taken while incarcerated to improve the inmate. This could be anything from earning a degree, completing courses offered, helping other inmates, good behavior. It is usually good to include how the inmate is remorseful and desires to be a healthy citizen contributing to the family and community. If there is potential employment available, housing (so forth) include that as well.Make sure you thank the Honorable Judge and or Parole Board for their time.Sign with your full name in your own penmanship.

If someone has a bench warrant in one state, could that person be arrested in another state for that same bench warrant?

I have read almost all of these answers. I am originally from Indiana, and the state places a rider on all their misdemeanor warrants that it is enforcable only within state boundaries. Now, I seen almost all of the answers her are from people with law enforcment back grounds. Not to upset anyone but police officers do not spend the time and money attorneys do on an education. When there is a rider on the warrent it is placing a legal jurisdiction or enforcement on that warrent. And that warrent is then only a legal document in the boundaries of jurisdiction of that document. Outside of that it is worthless, nothing more than toilet paper. So it is my understanding that it you are out of jurisdiction of the warrent as stated on the warrent (which at the time the officer runs a check it is stated there it) and arrest you only on the basis of that warrant then they have commited a legal kidnapping and have falsely arrested you due to the fact the officer already knows the jurisdiction of the warrent and what the intent of the issueing court is on the extradition. So yes you should take care of the warrent as soon as you can, but understand that if you are checked and you are in fact outside the limits of the warrent. It is no longer a legal document and can not be enforced at any cost just like a city police officer had NO jurisdiction in another city that is not within his state. In fact if that police office from NV came to my state of Florida and tried to use his badge in a official capacity he would be arrested for impersonating an office. If the law is like that for the jurisdiction of a person what do you think they would be for a pirce of paper. And remember to alway demand (not ask) to see the warrent and to read it completely before you sign it. Some jails have been known to pass off the warrent as extradition papers just to get you to sign the warrant. Sorry to any law enforcement officer i may have upset.

How much TV are inmates in prisons allowed to watch and how many channels?

At the maximum and super maximum levels in the Midwest state I was at, one could purchase a 13″ flat-screen TV from commissary for around $200, the same amount I paid at K-Mart for a 40″ one when paroled in 2016. We had cable TV, paid for from commissary and vending machine profits, with around 50 channels (no local stations as we were not to know what other prisoners had been sentenced for), six religious stations, four Spanish speaking channels, and three channels that played the same six movies in a loop and were changed weekly. The TVs could be on 24-hours a day, and speakers had been eliminated and headphones were suppose to be used, but you could always hear someone with “buzzed-up” headphones who was not wearing them. Those in the honor cellhouse and X-Row could have X-boxes that used the TV screen for video.I was never at a medium or minimum security facility, but was told most if not all did not have cells, and there were two sets in the dayroom of dormitories that were on about 12 hours a day.

Why is there a call to eradicate homosexual priests?

No they do not have a right to do that. Priests are only restricted from engaging in sexual activities, being homosexual does NOT mean they are going to go against that. That's the connection the Catholic church (and others) are trying to make though. Along with gay people being pedophiles. It's disgusting that people have to make up such ridiculous things (with no proof) to further their own agendas.

Japanese Internment Camp Research help, please??

Hello, I may need alittle help on a research project on Japanese Internment Camps. I just need some good research sites where I can find some good info on this topic that is easy to read. Unfortunately, I also have to make a bibliography for the websites I researched at. It has to contain:

Name of website. Editor/Author. Date edited. Name of Organization. Date of access. Web address.

I would really appreciate your help. Because I really don't know why the hell my ENGLISH II teacher has to give us a project like this that involves difficult research...

So remember, I need some good websites on research on Japanese Interment Camps that contained the information for the bibliography example I showed above.

*If it doesn't have anything unimportant on it like, Date of access or Editor/Author, its ok ^_^

THANKS:)

In what ways could old age effect a candidates mental/physical health?

each person is affected differently by the aging process. It's all in the genes. For all intents and purposes McCain is doing pretty decently for a man over 70. I know some twenty somethings that can't handle is schedule. I still don't want him as my president but it has nothing to do with his age.

How long does an inmate have to serve on a 4-year sentence?

First, it depends on if you are state or Fed.If Feds, you have to go by the Federal Sentencing Matrix thing, it’s online somewhere. I’ve only ever been a guest of the state so I’m not much help there. If you’re in state jurisdiction, it’s going to depend on the state. In MO, for example, you will do from 15–85% before parole eligibility. Jail time served may also count towards the front (time in prison) rather than off the back (time on parole). Some states also offer “treatment” (say, from 84 days and up to a year that once completed you’re out the gate) .In states with parole, your time on prison grounds will also depend on the TYPE of offense (drug, non-violent, violent, sex offense), whether your offense is parole eligible, the CLASS of offense (what degree or what class, i.e. A-D felonies, A being most serious), your behavior while incarcerated (yes, conduct violations DO matter, as does being productive with classes, work, etc in prison), and your “salient factor” (risk and recidivism) score. Two people with identical charges and sentences and pre-prison jail time credits, arriving at the same prison on the same day can have WILDLY different lengths of their prison stay. Read your state’s parole eligibility info; it should be online. Missouri DOC’s website is Missouri Department of Corrections …I believe they have most of that info posted up there. And of course some states don’t offer parole at all. Just a determinate sentence (4 years is thus 4 years, minus any “good time” credit).
