Can I cancel phone contract before phone arrives?
Ok, I have a little dilemma. Yesterday I ordered a mobile with Vodafone (samsung tocco), but have decided at last minute that it wouldnt be really practical to have it. The thing is, the phone is due to be delivered tommorow and I didnt have the time to tell Vodafone beforehand that I wanted a cancellation... so what I am trying to say is could I send it back and still be able to cancel my contract???? Need help on this ASAP, cos its causing stress :S

I have currently got a mobile on Vodaphone contract. Which hasn't yet run out. However I want to upgrade my phone, using a different service provider (Virgin Media). How do I cancel my Vodaphone contract and will there be a fine for cancelling it early? Thanks.

If the contract is in your name, your estate does, but if the carrier sued for it, most judges wouldn't bother opening the window before throwing the carrier's attorney out of it.Even with credit cards, if a widow calls the company and tells them that her busband died and there's a balance she can't afford to pay, some will check the obits, some will ask for a copy of the death certificate - then write it off as a loss.Most businesses aren't totally heartless - they have one or two cells of heart tissue. (And they couldn't afford to pay for advertising as bad as 1 little blurb about hounding a widow to pay her husband's ETF.)
How do I cancel my Virgin Mobile contract online?
Hi I have a monthly rolling contract from virgin which ends on the 20th of each month. I want to cancel my contract but the customer service is closed now. I am travelling out of country tomorrow morning and will not be back until the 20th so if I don't cancel my account tonight I will have to continue my contract for another month. How can I cancel my T-mobile contract without fees?
I have T-Mobile & ever since I've switched from AT&T to T-Mobile in Dec 2010, I hate it. Are there any ways to cancel my T-Mobile contract without early termination fees? I've called numerous times to complain about my service, but nothing is done. I don't receive calls, I don't get service, and they've sent my family new phones to "fix" the problem. It hasn't fixed anything & we had to pay $20 for each phone. We are not allowed to block numbers, or do anything because the service sucks. There are so many problems with T-Mobile & when I talk to a customer care person, they refuse to transfer me to a manager. It makes me very upset that I am unable to get the service I pay for when I need it during emergencies. My Grandfather had a stroke & service did not work when I needed it the most in the hospital. I'm very dissatisfied & I want to cancel my T-mobile contract without the $300 early termination fees so I can go with a good phone company.
Does cancelling a cell phone contract hurt your credit?
As long as you abide by the terms of the contract and follow the procedure and pay the bills and fees and whatever, then NO, it will NOT hurt, but will actually help your credit as any bill you pay in full and on time helps. If you simply default and NOT pay the bill, then YES, it will hurt just like any other unpaid bill hurts your credit.
