Can I Carry A Pocket Knife In Wisconsin

Laws on blades/knives (Wisconsin)?

In Wisconsin there is no age requirement to purchase a knife. Walk into your local Walmart and they won't hassle you about buying a knife.

You do not want to carry anything with a blade longer than 3" inches in Wisconsin though as that is considered a concealed weapon and will get you in trouble.

Is it legal to carry a knife on a train?

No problem.

As long as the knife itself is legal (not a switchblade or butterfly, etc., and not an illegal length) it is legal to carry on the train.

Have a nice trip, and don't cut yourself...

Is it legal for any minor to carry a knife? Why or why not?

That would depend on the local...city/state…laws of the area they would be in.When I was a young boy, there were no specific laws as to age or size of knif that a young lad could carry. Not even to school. That was back in the 1950s (late) to the mid 1960s when I left high school. Since then, society has changed…can’t say that it’s all be for the better…mostly worst looking at it lately…and began drafting and enacting laws for nearly everything people do in their daily lives. Some of those laws…very few in fact…had/have valid merit for being; the others were just to be making laws, since that’s what we pay taxes for…for them to enact and pass laws. So, not to be considered lacking in their job capabilities, they just started writing laws whether they made sense or not…mostly NOT. But they still go passed and are still on the books. Now you have to be 18 to have a pocket knife in your possession, even if it’s only 3–4 inches long…open. Use to be, every boy…even some girls…had and carried a pen knife; some even a 8–9 inch hunting knife and nothing was said. Now it’s ‘Lock and bar the doors, hide the wife and kids! We’re under attack!” Yeah, right!!Most places today most likely have some kind of law restricting young kids (under 18 years of age) from having any kind of knife….even a toy one, in some places…just like toy guns. Those are No-Nos! BULL!! Dumb laws, dumb mentallity on the lawmakers part and society for allowing them to pass such laws…most times passed in defiance of what the people wanted.

So I’m a minor in Canada and wish to carry a knife when hiking with friends, is this legal?

I’m not sure about the legality but I know one thing for sure: nobody is likely to stop you in the middle of the woods, and if they do they probably won’t stop you because of your knife. Carrying a knife when hiking is pretty normal, after all. If it’s going to be a long hike (as in hours long) then I’d even go as far as to say that it would be irresponsible to NOT carry a small knife or multitool. It’s a good habit to get into when you’re going to be in a remote location without good cell service. The worst thing anyone could do is tell you it’s too dangerous and try to take it away, and I’m not a police officer but I would probably say something if I saw an 8-year-old carrying a knife. I wouldn’t say anything if I saw a 13 year old carrying one though. And even if it were illegal, and I knew it was illegal, I still wouldn’t try to take it, even from a little kid who probably shouldn’t have one.The reason is that adults are usually pretty careful not to let a minor have a knife unless they’re responsible with it, and I wouldn’t assume a kid is too irresponsible to have a knife unless they were doing something so dangerous that I’d have trouble sleeping at night if I didn’t do something. Most adults have a similar mindset. After all, if we went around trying to look out for every minor we see, we wouldn’t be able to function like normal people. And the police are just normal people with a badge and a responsibility to make sure you don’t get hurt. They care more about you than about the little legal technicalities you need to follow. The laws about carrying knives are made to punish people involved in gang activities. The only thing I’d be worried about (if I even noticed that you had a knife) is whether you have your parent’s permission and that wouldn’t even cross my mind unless you were chasing your friends around with it or torturing animals, or something else really, really crazy.

Pocket knife laws in rancho cucamonga(san bernardino)?

You're absolutely fine, there is no age restriction here for folders or size limit for the blade, just no spring assist. They won't do anything if they find it on you usually, might call your parents possibly depending on the cop. Bottomline is tho you're all good, very legal. I've spent lots of time reading the statutes on this when i was under 18 too.
