Can I Delete Mb On My Graphics Card

I have 2 GB graphics card memory and 16 GB of RAM. Why can't my PC still play games in ultra settings or can I get my on-board graphics card to use the full 16 GB?

Since you say your motherboard can support 16 gb of ram, I'd guess that you have a fairly good cpu and that you'd also have Intel integrated graphics along with your graphics card. If you have a 3rd or 4th gen cpu @ atleast 2.6 ghz, thats way more than enough for most games out there..Now what about your hard disk?If you have a standard hard disk, specifically the 5400 rpm type, you're gonna get shitty gaming performance because it has ridiculously slow read/write speeds. I sold my old dell xps (i7,7gb ram,4 gb graphics) for the very same reason.Best thing you could do (if this is your problem) is to get a SSD and install whatever games/programs for which you want better performance onto that, because SSDs have considerably higher read/write speeds as compared to a hard disk. You will notice a vast improvement.7200 rpm HDDs are acceptable. Also, make sure to keep your hard disk defragmented at regular intervals.(DO NOT DEFRAG SSDs.EVER.).Next, we check how fast your ram is. You obviously have ddr3 ram and acceptable gaming speeds for ddr3 is 1600 mhz and higher(upto 2000+ mhz). If your motherboard only supports much slower speeds, then this could be your problem. The only solution is to buy a motherboard that supports faster speeds and buy faster ram as well..Next, does your pc have overheating issues? Try to keep it as clean as possible from the inside, no dust-clogged vents, etc. Spick and span it should be. If possible buy a cooling unit. Remove the side panels of your chassis, they only trap hot air and heat everything up. Try getting your cpu cooling paste replaced or changed for a more heavy duty type paste. This works wonders..Try downloading the latest drivers for your gpu. Its possible you may have outdated drivers that are incompatible with the games you're trying to play..Do you have other resource hungry applications running in the background? Use task manager to kill unnecesary tasks and then play..I can't think of anything else, but if you still have problems you can send me your pc's configuration and I'll try to see what could the issue could be.

Can you remove a laptop graphics card?

Mostly Laptops come with attached Graphics card in order to save space. The Graphics card and Processor are combined in such way that in order to replace a graphic card you will need a compatible processor as well. So replacing them will cost you nearly to a buying a new Laptop.(Also you can check your laptop user manual if you’ve PCI slot free or go online and there maybe hacks to do it. Cheers.

How can I permanently disable my graphics card?

Remove it of course.Power down your computer. Open box by removing screws. Find graphics card. Remove screws or other card slot lock in place. Pull out card.Reboot in safe mode because you have made a major system change. Reboot again. You will then be using your system on board graphics, not as good for games, but enough for everyday use.Dispose of card at a recycling center because it contains toxic metals.

Is my graphics card dead or is my PCI-E slot not working?

This actually happened to me. At that time I did not know what was up, but later I discovered something. First thing first. Check the Monitor Cables. The VGA/DVI and the power cable. Ensure they are working. Also, check Graphics card cables. Many cards need an extra power cable connected to them. Check if that is connected. Then, connect the VGA cable to your motherboard port, and go to BIOS. There, look for something related to Display Configuration or PCI Configuration. Most likely, you have changed this to "Onboard VGA" which is causing this problem. If that doesn't do the trick then, move on to the next one.Boot up your computer using the onboard VGA port. Go to device manager and uninstall all graphics drivers. The computer will most likely reboot and the graphics card should be working now. Also check for any "Unknown Device". Uninstall them as well.If that doesn't work as well, then the last option is what others suggested. Check your graphics card in another PC. If that works then PCI slot is dead. To be sure check the PCI slot by putting in a working graphics card. You'll know by now what is faulty. Also, another thing that has come to my mind is that you could be running low in power. Check how much power your components need and how much does your PSU generate.Hope this helps. Good luck. :)

I have a GEFORCE MX 40000 ( 64mb graphic card) NFS carbon doent support MX series !! so ..?

I doubt it, but it is worth a shot i guess. If that won't work, just go to www.newegg.com or tigerdirect and find yourself an inexpensive mid-range card. If you have the 4000mx I assume that it is agp. Nvidia has a few AGP offerings between their 6000 series and 7000 series. Also check out some of the ATI x1000 series cards. You should be able to find a pretty good card for <$150. Pretty good would be relative here as AGP is no longer considered the way to go.

How much space is taken by an integrated graphics card from the RAM?

In most cases its depends upon bios. By default it allocates around 512 mb. If you wants to change allocated graphics memory go to the bios where you can change the allocation value from 128 mb to 2048 mb. That depends upon chipset as well as motherboard vendors. While pc starting Delete,f12, f10 ,f8 and f2 are among the keys you can press to enter into bios menu to change graphics memory.InfoWaveThanks you.
