Can I Double My Dosage

Is it okay to double up on the dosage for Alli?

A couple of years ago I used Xenical for 2 months with great results and no side effect (only noticed that oily discharge in the bathroom) but due to the expensive price tag, I had to stop taking the medication. I am now trying Alli (which only has half the dosage of Xenical and more affordable) with no side effect? Is it possible to safely double up on dosage for Alli (2 pills each time instead of 1) without adversed effect. I could not find any information that I can use to compare the ingredients of or other factors about both medications. I am not having any of the side effects listed and though it has only being a week, I am seeing no difference. I work out 6 days a week (resistance training and cardio) and eat vegetarian meals sensibly. I am also planning to talk to the store's pharmacist about this but wanted to know if anyone else have answers.

Is it ok if i double my dose of adderall?

No, you don't need to do this.

You lived for your entire life without the adderall so you need to contact your prescribing physician Monday and ask about increasing the dose as it is ineffective at the current level. Whether this means a new appointment, so be it.

The reason is this needs to be monitored by your physician and any dose changes need to be dictated by him. If you double it, and it works, what then? You will run out and then are you going to tell him you weren't responsible with your medication and took double the prescribed dose?

See where this leads?

Just take it as prescribed, I understand that 5mg is not very potent.. it is too low of a dose for you, but this needs to be increased via the proper channels for many practical reasons.

If you do take 10mg, no, it won't kill you.

A typical effective dose of adderall is 10-20mg.

Take care,

Can I double a melatonin dose?

I wouldn't. If you get too much Melatonin, it would increase your Serotonin too much, which would actually give the opposite effect (wake you up). I would recommend sticking with the dose listed on the bottle unless a doctor says otherwise.
Also, Melatonin has a better long-term effect than a short-term effect, so it will help you to sleep better over time than right away, but many people get benefits the first night. Good luck!

Should i double my creatine dosage?

NO! And doubling can cause liver and kidney damage.

Muscles require lots of calories, nutrients, and hard work to release anabolic hormone -- Not more stupid powder. Anabolic hormone is responsible for the growth of muscle fiber.. Not protein, Not creatine. The only thing your protein or creatine overloads are doing are damaging your liver, slowing DOWN the livers natural process of filtering/separating nutrients, and creating very expensive urine. Eat LOTS of real food. Bulking requires an average of 2500-3000 calories of whole foods daily.

My best advise would be to talk with a professional trainer at the gym about your diet and workout program and ignore the advise from the muscle-heads and supplement websites. If BS were muscle - they'd would be ripped. :)

If you double the dose of alli will you lose more fat?

Do NOT take more that the recommended dosage of ANY medications unless directed by a health provider!!! It can be very harmful!!!

Would it be bad to double the dose on my Hair Skin & Nail supplements?

Taking more than what your body needs will be a waste, It'll just get flushed out. Try adding some supplements that are not included in your regime like perhaps Fish oils, MMS and silica for an extra boost, drink plenty of water and exercise to get your blood flowing. also tea tree oil scalp massages are really good to unclog and stimulate the hair follicles for better growth. As for the results, it can take anywhere from 1 month to 4months to see the effects but keep in mind that hair can't grow much faster than what it's genetically programed to grow, however it will grow thicker, stronger and shinier than ever before. Get some hair extensions If your really desperate to have longer hair asap.

What happens to you when you double dose on antidepressants? Is it anything to worry about?

The doctor and pharmacist should be alerted immediately in the event of an accidental double-dosing.Accidental duplication of dose is quite common in many patients on chronic medications for various patient-peculiar reasons. While this can be distressing and predisposes the patient to a higher risk of severe toxicity with some medications (e.g. warfarin and digoxin), antidepressants, particularly the newer kind, have a wider therapeutic margin and so are less likely to cause severe toxicity from accidental duplication of dose. The patient will however be at a higher risk of experiencing adverse effects which can sometimes be serious, requiring management in some patients.Depending on the particular antidepressant, adverse effects to watch out for may include headache, nausea, palpitations, sweating, vomiting, anxiety, dizziness, abnormal thoughts, including suicidal ideation, diarrhea, etc.If a patient has just, for example, started taking an SSRIs, e.g. fluoxetine (20 mg – 80 mg per day) or sertraline (50 mg – 200 mg per day), it is most likely that they started on the lower dose. Doubling will still have the dose within the therapeutic range. If the patient is on a once daily regimen (SSRIs are typically dosed once a day, usually in the morning) it is a good idea to wait at least 24 hours from the last dose before resuming on the regular regimen.Of course it is best to defer to the doctor and pharmacist who prescribed or dispensed the medication to be sure as there are different management modalities for different medications and patient-specific scenarios.
