Can I File A Lawsuit Against The Military I Was Attacked By A Marine

I was beaten at the YMCA for saying the U.S. Military is fulled of sicko psychopaths, Can I file a lawsuit?

I was just talking, saying how people in the military killed millions of people, and how i overheard an ex-sniper say he enjoys killing people, he really loved it, he look forwarded to making people suffer. He said everybody was proud that he killed over 100 people.

So I just went on to say our currently military is fulled with psycopaths and sicko,, and 2 guys beat me until i passedout, and i woke up in the garbage can upside down.

I want revenege

What happens if you get injured during a military bootcamp?

Good question. It depends on many things. Others have offered correct answers concerning the extent of the injury. However, sometimes there is much more to it.One major concern is the needs of the service. In times of downsizing, sometimes more enlistees are recruited than can actually be used by the service. I was told that the goal for recruiting was to get as many people to sign on the dotted line as possible. Training intensity can always be adjusted such that more people will be eliminated medically. Presumably, this nets the service the most fit and hardy enlistees. If you are injured in a manner that may be embarrassing to the service, things can get weird in a hurry. There will be an intense investigation, and your extensive medical file dating back to your first examination at the Military Entrance Processing Station will be scrutinized. At the beginning of the exam, you are asked "do you have or have you ever had:   ?" regarding scores, possibly even hundreds, of medical conditions. This can come back to haunt you. Many things that you may list as having once had will be readily cleared as 'acceptable' by the (probably elderly) Department of Defense examining physician, but will later be declared as incompatible with the minimum medical standards of your particular service and precluding further training. You'll be booted out with an entry level, uncharacterized, administrative discharge for failure to meet minimum medical standards. Naturally, if you don't get hurt, your past medical conditions may not matter at all...

Why do some infantry marines wear flight suits?

The normal utility uniforms have been found to be not so good if you get burned extensively. (MARPAT, ACU, ABU)
Same reason most of the services banned Underarmour type shirts and apparel when in a combat zone. The stuff burns into your skin pretty bad.
Flights suits are more fire resistant, and flame retardant.
The reason burning has become such an issue, is because the number 1 worry over there is IED attacks. Thus explosions and fire.

Anxiety Attacks in Marine bootcamp?

I've been talking to my recruiter and i told him i have anxiety attacks because i was made fun for being gay. I've never taken any medication so he says i am eligible to join still but he told me i may want to reconsider (depending if i can handle my anxiety or not). I was told that i have social anxiety, like i would have an anxiety attack if I was with a group of people and someone made fun of me for being gay. My face would turn beat red and my heart would start pounding really hard.

But my anxiety attacks are strictly social only. I have been yelled at by drill instructors before and have not had an anxiety attack at all. I can handle firing guns, going to war, etc. Like i said, my anxiety attacks are ONLY and i mean ONLYYYYYY based on someone making fun of me. And the worst case scenario would be my face being beat red and being a little uncomfortable.

I am very strong willed, i have firm confidence in my self that i can do it, the reason im asking is because i would like other people views me joining.

Va disability claims for conditions i had prior to military service?

This is something you need to discuss with the VA... and maybe an attorney. I'm not an attorney, so I can't give you legal advice.

If you told them you had medical problems going in, and they allowed you in on a waiver, I suspect you've waived any claims based on the preexisting stuff. If they let you in without a waiver, you might be find a way to get a few bucks a month to the extent the problems were exacerbated while in.

If you didn't tell them, and if you try to collect disability, they might charge you with perjury and fraudulent enlistment... and you wouldn't get any benefits... medical or otherwise.

I find the second part of the question rather appalling. If you're disabled, how do you expect to be employable? It sounds as if your plan has always been to get as much out of your country as possible without having to work for it. So you enlisted with physical problems... maybe get the military to fix you up. You spent a few years in... probably often on light duty because of the pain caused by the physical issues. Now you're out and you expect to continue sticking it to your country by collecting disability for something the military had nothing to do with. And, on top of that, while trying to prove to the government that you're disabled, you want to prove to an employer that you're not disabled to get a job. As I said, I'm no attorney... but that sounds like fraud to me.

A U.S. Marine punched me in the head, knocking me out, after i touched his medals, Can I file a lawsuit?

I was at the K Mart, and saw a Marine, I called him a baby killer. He ignored me. So then
I touched his medals and said, You get these for killing babies. I spit on him.

Next thing i know, i was on the ground unconscious the next minute.

I did not think he would have the guts to hit me in public, the K Mart, in a public place. The store was empty. Maybe if it was more crowded, he wouldnt have done anything.

I thought they cant freaking hit you if they are in uniform?

I awoke 10 minutes later in an ambulance. They told me at the hospital, he hit me like 5 and 6 times, after i was out cold. I have 2 missing teeth, and a swollen nose, and swollen eyes and 2 bruises on my head. My hospital bill is over $10,000, including ambulance ride. Can I file a lawsuit against the military, to get them to pay my hospital bills?

Plus I missed 3 weeks of work, I lost over $1200 in work pay.

Also, they dropped the charges against this guy? How can I re-press them against him?

I think he should have charged civily and criminally, I had no clue a uniform man would attack somebody in public place.

Who said, "Do no attack the yellow legs" ?

Hello Devil Dog,

The Marines are the "yellow legs."

The communists said it of the Marines.

"Do not attack the First Marine Division. Leave the yellowlegs alone. Strike the American Army."

- Orders given to Communist troops in the Korean War; shortly afterward, the Marines were ordered to not wear their khaki leggings to keep the enemy from immediately fleeing.
