Can I Get A Coutesy Car If Accident Was My Fault

How much money can i get from a car accident?? it was not my fault?

A few questions for you:
-Are you right handed or left handed? You will get more money if you have injured your dominant hand as this would have more of an impact on your day to day life.
-How is your treatment going? Are you healing properly?
-How painful is this injury? How much does it interfere with your day to day activities?
-What kind of job do you have that required you to miss so much time? Are you involved in manual labor?

As far as your wage loss is concerned, this seems like a lot of time to miss for an injury that does not appear to be that serious. Don't expect that the insurance company is just going to accept all of your wage loss without documented proof that you were completely incapacitated and unable to work. If you have a normal desk job or something that doesn't require the constant use of both of your hands (i.e-- being a surgeon or working in construction), they may give you a month tops.

You should get some additional money due to the fact that you were struck by a hit and run DUI offender. This is typically referred to as "aggravated liability". You may receive up to an additional $1000 for this.

Your vehicle damage really does not have any impact on your bodily injury settlement. Aside from looking at the impact to see how hard it was, the insurance company will not consider the amount of your property damage or the fact that your vehicle was a total loss.

Because you have an attorney, you can actually expect to receive less money in your pocket. An attorney typically will take 1/3 of your settlement amount as payment for their services. Remember this for next time... the value of your claim does not change just because you have any attorney. Why pay someone to do what you can do yourself?

Based on what you have said above, I would anticipate that aside from your medical bills and wage loss... and after you pay your attorney... you may pocket between $5000-$8000. Ballpark estimate.

As far as your girlfriend's claim goes, has she received any treatment? A typical neck or back injury with no treatment may receive between $500-$1500 for "pain and suffering". Because of the aggravated liability, and if she has received treatment, it may be a little bit more. If she has an attorney as well, she will end up with less in her pocket.

Deer car accident?

Hello guys,
Yesterday, I hit a deer by accident and the front right side of my car is damaged. The speed of the road was 45 mph and I was driving 40 mph. Today, I was in the same area to check if there was a deer sigh that I didn’t realize about or something but I found NOTHING!!! The thing is that I left the area at that moment shocked and I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t even call the police.
I talked with the insurance company GIECO and they told me that I’m not eligible for covering because I don’t have a full coverage.
I went to the workshop to estimate the damage but they told me that the price is going to be more expensive than my car's value in total!!!
What should I do? Should I go to the court and tell them what happened? Is there any reimbursement that I get if there is no deer sign?
The thing is that I’m an international student and it’s my first time ever involved in such situation.

If you get rear-ended into a car in front of you, is it your fault for the rear-ending of the car in front of you?

Most people believe that in a rear-end collision, the driver of the car in the back is always at fault. However, that's too simplistic. As a general rule, it is the responsibility of every driver to maintain their vehicle and to avoid running into the back-end of another car that brakes or stops suddenly. The driver must remain alert to adjust his/her distance and speed. Because of this, the tailing driver always almost share some fault. If the lead driver commits no acts of negligence and obeys traffic laws, then the tailing car will be found entirely at fault. But there is an exception. And this is where your question falls under. It is when the tailing car is pushed into the lead car by a third car hitting his/her car from behind. In this kind of chain reaction accident, the fault is found with the last car.For a more in-depth discussion about this topic, I suggest that you read The Rear End Car Crash: Is the Driver in Back Always at Fault? article on our blog.Take care and drive safely!

If I take a courtesy car after a car accident, will my future insurance renewal increase as opposed to the same claim without a courtesy car?

I think that would depend on your Insurance Company. If I’m not mistaken your insurance may go up based upon how much your Insurance Co. has had to pay out for a Claim. This information may also be different depending on if you are talking about US insurance vs Canadian Ins etc. That having been said, a lot of people are not aware of this but you can rent a car with Enterprise Car Rentals and get the Insurance rate as long as you have a Claim number for the accident. You do not even need to tell your Insurance Co. that you are getting a rental, all you need is a Claim number!! This is also really great information for those who don’t have car rentals in their insurance policy in case of an accident.

I was a passenger in a car accident. How much settlement $$ should i get?

You need to talk to a lawyer RIGHT AWAY.

Listen, if you're young or low income--or whatever you are--the other side's lawyers already know this, and they will take advantage of the situation (a young, low income person will settle fast and for less than a wealthy 50-year-old businessman who lives in a good neighborhood and makes a good income).

You WILL get ripped off unless you seek counsel fast. Make sure you have all doctors bills in hand, and find out--or at least tell the lawyer about--the possible upcoming doctors bills.

Don't wait. Call a lawyer TOMORROW. You can start with your driver's insurance company's lawyers for information. Find out if they have any legal obligation to help you (check your driver's policy), but I'm guessing that they don't. But they might give you direction just as a courtesy to their customer.

But DON'T WAIT ANOTHER DAY. AND GATHER ALL YOUR MEDICAL BILLS TOGETHER. GO TALK TO A LAWYER RIGHT AWAY.

I'm speaking from experience. I was injured--hit by a car--20 years ago. Yes, I got a settlement (young and stupid as I was) but over the years I've spent more on medical care than the settlement provided.

Is it possible to process multiple claims for a car accident insurance at the same time?

First of all, both of these accidents will be treated as two separate incidents. You’ve got that part right. But as far as your claim history is concerned, it doesn’t matter whether you file multiple claims two weeks apart or two years apart.Should you register two separate claims with your motor insurance company or pay for one of the dents yourself, depends on your type of claim. If you are at fault for both of these mishaps, then it would be preferable to process only one claim and pay for the other dent yourself. One claim is stressful enough, if you try to register multiple claims, you’ll be annoyed with the unending paperwork and formalities. More importantly, multiple claims in a short period of time could make your insurance provider classify you as a high risk driver.Whereas, if your claims have been filed against another driver who was the cause of your accident, the claim will have to be settled by that driver’s insurance provider. In such a case, multiple claims can be considered.

What happens when you're in a car accident far from home and can't drive the car back? Will insurance pay to transport the car back for repairs?

That is a very good question and it’s hard to answer.Insurance companies will agree to pay “reasonable” towing charges. They will not pay to tow it across the country, but may if it’s 100 miles. You will have to negotiate. If the car could be made driveable with some temporary repairs—like pulling out the fender from the wheel well and replacing a tire—do that and drive it home yourself. Then get the car properly fixed when you are back home.If the damage is extensive but repairable, it may make more sense to repair it where the accident happened and arrange to pick it up when the work is done.If the car is likely to be deemed a total loss, don’t bring it home. The insurance company can send the appraiser to the local tow yard or body shop. The insurance company will pay for your transportation home, either a rental car or public transportation. If you were on a vacation trip, you will need to negotiate for a rental in order to continue the trip.Whatever you do, don’t just abandon it at the tow yard. Work out a solution with the insurance company before you leave.

Which driver is at fault for a side scrape?

There are two drivers in two separate lanes at night on a busy road. One tries to merge into the other lane. Neither drivers see each other until the cars have already collided.

The sides collide as one driver attempts to merge into the lane and the other continued driving and eventually scraped each other.

Damage on vehicle one consists of a dent on the front fender and scrape along the side from the other vehicles side view mirror.

Damage on vehicle two consists of minor scraping along the front wing.

Input please?
