Can I Get Century Link In My Area Of Florida

Centurylink Direct Sales?

My husband was offered a direct sales job with "Genesis Vision Marketing", based out of Cape Coral, FL. They claim to be a contract company for Centurylink. I cannot find out anything in this company and their website is conveniently down for maintenance. He found the listing on Craigslist and interviewed at a hole in the wall place with no signage that they conveniently just moved into. I believe this is a scam but he gave them all his info and thinks he is starting Monday or Tuesday. Has anyone heard of or dealt with this company?

Centurylink data usage, help!?

My plan for High Speed Internet with CenturyLink has a 600 GB limit, and when I went to check my usage today it said "Great news! Even if you exceed your allowance, your current plan makes you exempt from overage fees! How great is that?" Has anyone seen this before? And why would I be exempt now?

How do you get Netflix on DirecTV?

There are several good answers already. As far as I know, no DirecTV receivers have a built-in Netflix Application so you need another device, like a Smart TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, or some other multimedia network device like a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One. Many Blu-Ray and DVD players also have built in Netflix apps. When you want to watch Netflix, you change your source to this other device from your DirecTV receiver to watch Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, or other streaming video services. There are subscription fee for each streaming service.Enjoy.

ServiceDealz offers the cheapest, but the high-speed internet in the Tallahassee, Florida. The wide range of packages offered by the ServiceDealz makes it very convenient for the users to have the cheapest package without compromising the quality of the services. It would be better for you to keep the quality in mind too. Try to compare the features with the prices before picking a plan. Long distance area code cell phone number is called but is within areas code calling. is this a long distance?

We have different phone companies in Florida where I live and the area code is 352. If I call south to Brooksville which is 34 miles away but in the same area code, it's a long distance call.

The reason is I'm calling from a Company called Century Link, formally Sprint, to another phone company called AT&T.

You have to know the boundaries and the different phone co. areas even if they have the same area code. If I call 4 miles North, it's long distance because it's AT&T again. We are right in the middle

Do I need an internet provider to use wifi?

Your internet and your network are two separate things. Your internet must be provided by an ISP (Internet Service Provider,) which is usually a monthly fee, otherwise the network you create will only allow you to connect to other devices connected to your network via either ethernet cable or wifi. (An ethernet cable being that thing that kinda looks like a bigger version of an old phone line cable. It carries the connections between computers and such inside your home, and is basically the wired version of wifi.) To my knowledge, there is no way to legally get permanent internet from a provider, and no way to get internet at all without one.Once you have your internet connection from your ISP, make sure you get either a modem/router/wifi access point combo, or any form of those three. The modem part is needed to get the internet into your network (as it will likely be brought into your space of living through a coaxial cable and not an ethernet cable at first.) The router is needed to control what information goes to which devices that are connected to the network, so that you don’t send the information for your download to the wrong device. The wifi access point is needed to actually send and receive the wifi signal to and from your devices. A lot of devices advertised as routers are all three combined, but it is generally a good idea to make sure what you get is everything you need because it is still possible to get them all as separate devices and it would really suck to think you’re getting everything you need only to get home and find out that you only bought a router. Also check what comes with your internet package as some ISP’s do provide modem/router/access point combos with their internet.

How can you get WiFi without internet?

You buy a wireless router and power it up. By default, most home wireless routers are manufactured with WiFi enabled. The WiFi network name (SSID) and pass phrase should either be on the router’s label or in the user guide. There should also be a password that will allow you to log on to the router’s settings and change them, including changing the WiFi name and encryption details. Changing WiFi settings is best done from a PC connected by Ethernet. If you change WiFi settings over a WiFi connection and make a mistake, you may not be able to use the WiFi until the error is corrected. The ports on the router that normally provide the connection to the Internet are left unused.
