Can I Get In Legal Trouble

Can I get in legal trouble for this?

The IRS has no input. The refund from a joint return is a joint asset and its up to the couple to decide how to split it up. You could take every penny and you wouldn't be violating any laws or rules.

But, if you are heading for divorce, the judge is probably going to look at recent behavior when deciding how to divide up any joint assets. If you just took the entire tax refund the judge might give him something extra in the divorce to compensate.

So lawyer up, but play nice for now.

I got a happy ending. Can i get in legal trouble for it?

Ok so I went to a massage parlor and needless to say the lady massaging me started to touch a little more personal. I did not offer any tip, ask, or request anything. She just flat out did it. Can one get in legal trouble for this? As in if there were a police sting for suspected activity at the parlor can the person there getting the massage get arrested as well? I think you get what I am asking. I know it was morally wrong and I wont do it again, but I am curious as to what can happen to the reciepient not the giver.

How much legal trouble can you get in if you stop showing up to your job?

You are free to quit your job at any time. You cannot be sued for quitting. You cannot be sued for simply failing to show up, however, you can (and will) be fired by any legitimate employer. You will eventually want to work again, so regardless of how much you hate your current job, it is best to leave under the best terms possible. Future employers will contact this one, and Tops Supermarket will have the legal right to not only say they wouldn't rehire you, but to describe in detail the behaviors that led them to that conclusion. Such a discussion is protected by legal privilege, so as long as they're not lying (accusing you of theft or drug use, for example, when you haven't done either), they have the right to communicate their dissatisfaction with you to potential employers who contact them. In that context, it would be to your advantage to quit, rather than be fired.
I hope this information helps. Best of luck.

Can I get this person into legal trouble?

Even if Cyn manages to bring the family to court, they can escape using the defense of unsoundness of mind. If Cyn has the required documents to keep the animals, then the possible charges will be lessened. Lastly, because of the allegation, an inspector will be sent around to check on the way the horses are maintained. If everything is in order then Cyn cannot be sued for any reason.

Can I get in legal trouble for faking my age on the internet?

No you cannot get in legal trouble for faking your age on the internet. You can get in trouble for lying on an affidavit which is what you are providing when you are REQUIRED to provide an age for verifying who your are or that you are old enough to view content. I can pretend to be 15 or 50, the action you do while you are misrepresenting your age can cause you legal problems. Like the examples below (pretend to be 15 to get nude pictures of children) the possession of the nude is the crime not pretending to be 15. If you are faking your age to be older, you are placing yourself is serious risk. For example if a 16 says he/she is 18 and "hooks up" with someone 25 the older person has some ground to defend (how often do you ID your date???) In this case Statutory Rape will be difficult to convict, unless there is obvious indication the person is lying.

Can I get into legal trouble for cutting someone off?

So I was driving on an A class road at 70mph and a car is joining on the slip road so I moved over into the right hand lane to let them on. However I failed to see a car behind me and badly cut them off. No one or car was damaged and I take full responsibility. They then proceeded to beep at me and hang out of the window shouting abuse. There was no police around but I was wondering if they had a dash cam or my number plate whether they could report me?

Can I get in legal trouble for leaving a job after 3 days?

In the United States, unless the job is in the military or certain other specific government jobs where "failure to report" is specified as a crime, in general at most all you can get is fired.  If you received any sort of advance pay or hiring bonus, you might be forced to return it, but even that's difficult.

Can I get in legal trouble for trading Bitcoins?

Can I get in legal trouble if I copyright other people's music on YouTube?

Let's say someone on YouTube made a song and decided to sing it on camera, when it's not even copyrighted. If I recompose that song with my own band and send it in to copyright it, can they legally get me in trouble?

Can you get in legal trouble for catfishing someone?

If the cat fishing involves stealing someones identity without them knowing and they choose to go after you in civil court for some damage that was done to them, yes. That can be a hard standard to meet though. If, in the course of cat fishing someone, you manipulate someone into giving you things that have a monetary value and they can successfully argue that it is who you were pretending to be that led you to do it you may be able to get compensated in civil court. Arguing they would not of done it if they knew you were of bad character is not enough though, one can not get paid back for making a foolish choice-it has to be specific and tied to specifically to who you claimed to be and reasonable that the person believed you.For a criminal case against someone who catfished you there would have to be fraud as described by another answer or an age-based crime (for example transmitting explicit pictures of or to a minor) that comes into play when the real ages of the people involved are known. If I pretend to be 16, and you are really 16, and we are sexting but it turns out I am 20 I could be found guilty of crime(s).
