Can i get my lip pierced while I'm pregnant?
NO! First of all, anytime you get a piercing or tattoo you run the risk of getting hepatitis. I don't care how clean the place it, it's still a risk. Hepatitis would harm you and your baby considerably. Secondly, these other people are right. You can go into shock and get very, very sick. I had my tongue pierced when I was 19 and I went into severe shock and had to be hospitalized. Thirdly, you're immune system is down and not a good at protecting you during pregnancy. You could pick up some illness from the place and the piercing that you normally wouldn't have if you hadn't been pregnant. You would be better off waiting a few weeks after your pregnancy to get it done. Good luck and congratulations!
Can i get my lip pierced with a retainer?
This is a double-sided answer, unfortunately. Yes, you *can* get it pierced with a retainer - however, the only retainers that I would suggest are either a glass/quartz retainer or a flesh colored fishtail (custom bent). The downside to this - you'll have to wait on putting in other jewelry or changing it out often - and you'll have to hunt down a shop that HAS either of these. You'll have to leave this in for 6-8 weeks to allow sufficient healing time before changing again, however, if you're using either of these, your employer will probably not notice it unless you point it out to them.
What is a good age to get you lip pierced?
Im 13 too And i got my lip pierced at the right side in october =] So really i would say about 13+, it just depends if youre mum or dad lets you, i had to beg my mum for ages and she finally gave in for my 14th birthday (january). I wanted snakebites too! but im only allowed the one because my mum doesnt like the scarring ): Btw, it really doesnt hurt just feels like a pinch if you shut your eyes really tight. Good luck :D x
Can you get your lip pierced if you have braces?
I would strongly recommend against it. The back of the jewelry sits close to your teeth, and I imagine they could easily get caught and result in the lip getting injured. If you make a habit of biting the inside, that risk goes way up, and the rings will damage your teeth, too.Plus, you shouldn't take out the jewelry at all for a healing period after getting the piercing. If you're in a situation that involves oral x-rays, you might have to take them out, and then run the risk of not being able to put them back in.It's hard enough just going to a normal dentist appointment with the wrong lip jewelry (that is, anything but studs). I don't even want to think about how it would be with braces.
Can i get my lip pierced with a clear stud?
If you are hiding it for work, get it pierced with a metal stud, then take off the ball and put a clear ball on the end. You won't be able to heal it with acrylic or bioplast in it, and if you leave it without a ball, it will just fall out or grow over. Just get a tiny clear ball and I doubt anyone will even see it!

with your guardian’s supervision 16 in most areas, i think there’s even shops that do it as young as 14. without your parent’s permission, more than likely 18.i’m not a parent but my mom always let me get any piercing young, she would have also let me get a tatto as young as 16. here i am, 20 years old, and no tattoos, and minimal piercings. i think its because it wasnt such an act of rebelling is why i never went and got any of these piercings, especially in some sketchy place. she knew i was just trying to express myself.piercings arent permanent.and lets be real, tattoos are becoming more accepted everyday! today’s day in age you can express yourself and mostly are accepted. but do be mindful of the career path you choose, some people still base opinions on the way you look. as a 14 year old i didnt understand this but it makes more sense as you get older. so if you are considering a tattoo that you think could be questionable, wait on it, get something else. despite rumors, tattoos just get more bad ass the older you get.and anyway, any piercing you get, you’ll probably grow to hate it when you are older and think to yourself ‘why did i do that to myself’ and end up taking it out.put a ring in it while you think its still cool. :)
If I get my lip pierced, can I still play an instrument?
if you have an actual lip ring that might cause some difficulty because it will most likely create a space between the mouthpiece and your lip so the air you blow would go downward instead of into the instrument. what you could do to kind of test it out is take a captive bead ring (they are only about 50 cents), remove the bead, and put the part where the hole is over your lip to sort of simulate what it would be like trying to play with the piercing in. if it turns out that it is too hard to play with it in, maybe you could consider a labret piercing and wear a stud when you are playing.
Can i get my tongue and lip pierced at the same time?
well i already got my right side lower lip pierced buy i want snake bites, but im going in 2morrow to get my tongue pierced...when had my lip don't , nothing hurt not even the healing period, so do u think i can get them both done ? to save time ^_^ thanks alot
