Can I Get Out Of This Ticket

Have you ever cried to get out of a ticket?

No. My pride has always gotten me in too much trouble. I have managed to get out of a lot of tickets anyway. I act like a really good little girl =)

What is the best way to get out of a ticket?

“How do I get out of a traffic ticket?”There is no single way to “get out of” a traffic citation. There is no guaranteed way to avoid fines or points on your license from a traffic citation. There are some strategies which might help you, but none of them are foolproof:Challenge the citation in court. There are very, very, very few examples of someone from the prosecutor’s office contacting Joe Random and saying, “Don’t worry about this citation — we’ll just drop it.” At the very least, you have the right to make the State prove its accusation of the traffic violation. There are some risks, however. If you challenge the citation and are found guilty of the charge, you may face additional fines and court costs. In my old jurisdiction, the basic traffic fine was $120. If you challenged the citation and were found guilty, the judge could assess a fine of $1 -> $1000, plus another $150 or so in fees.Go to court and hope the officer doesn’t show up for the hearing. This might work, although some jurisdictions will give an officer a second (or third) opportunity to show up for court. This wasn’t the way it worked in my old jurisdiction for a basic traffic citation — unless you could provide an extremely good reason for missing court, the charges would be dropped after the officer’s first non-appearance.Hire an experienced, local traffic lawyer to negotiate a plea bargain to a non-moving violation. In many jurisdictions, the prosecutor will amend the original citation to a non-moving violation, such as changing a speeding citation to a general “unsafe equipment” violation. This keeps moving violations and points off your license. The prosecutor will typically assess a significantly higher fine for this type of negotiated plea, plus you will have to pay the lawyer for his/her services.Of course, you’ve already seen the “Don’t get a ticket in the first place” answers. Although it won’t help if you’ve already received a citation, it really is the only guaranteed way of not having to “beat” anything. Unless you’re able to build and operate a time machine, however, this advice probably won’t help….

How can I get out of an LA parking ticket?

Sometimes you can contest the ticket right after you get it, but you have to call within 15 minutes or so of getting it.  You can tell them you were trying to find a business that would give you change for the meter (don't know if this still works now our meters take credit cards), or that the person you were visiting was trying to find their guest parking permit AND you didn't know to put your flashers on. This works in West Hollywood. My wife and I get about 6 tickets a year in West Hollywood where we live and have come to think of it as just an extra city tax.I've successfully contested a few tickets by mail, but you need to send photo evidence and mark it so someone who's job is sending back rejection letters day-in and day-out can quickly glance at yours and figure out you were right. I had a car for a while that didn't have a rearview mirror stem to hang my permit. I would put my hanging permit in the lower-left corner of my windshield, the same place sticker permits are put. I got a couple of tickets for not having a permit displayed. I had a set of photos I'd print out and circle how my mirror was attached to the window and a photo of how my permit looked from outside the car, and included a copy of the ticket where it said they couldn't see my VIN number because the permit was covering it (so they had seen the permit.)   You have to make it really obvious for them.  I had a friend who got a ticket parked in a temp no parking zone. The date on the posted temp zone was the day after he got the ticket. He sent a photo of the sign with the different date but his appeal was rejected with the excuse "no parking signs were clearly posted".  I think if he had put his ticket and the sign on the same page and circled the date on both it would have been excused. It's got to be so simple a 7-year-old can look at it and get it without reading anything.

Can a FBI agent get a ticket for speeding?

Yes, but few officers would wright another. However that is in no way a get out of free card, I know some who will.

I have been stopped 3 times in 24 yrs - all when I was responding in to work when I was called out - but now I have a take home car - and can respond in code.

umm the feds have juridiction nation wide and need no local permission what so ever - nice try lawless boy.

What's the best way to get out of a speeding ticket?

Jedi Mind Trick-- You never saw me speeding...

Spill water on the seat and say you were trying to get to a bathroom

Say to the officer: "Sprechen Sie Deutsch? Dieses ist die Datenbahn ist nicht es?"

The officer asks to see your license: wrap it in a $50 before handing it over

Say: "Whatchu talkin 'bout Willis?"

Do cops give EMTs tickets?

If you break the law in your personal vehicle as an EMT, you should get a ticket.

If you break the law driving an ambulance as an EMT, you should get a ticket.

You need to take driving seriously and stop looking for a free pass.

If you flash your EMT ID at a Police Officer, it should be reported to your employer which could result in loss of employment. Personalized plates and decals will not get you any breaks either. In fact, you should know better than to drive like an idiot as an EMT.

If everyone with an EMT card go a "get out of a ticket free" pass, many more would be taking this simple little 110 hour cert so they could do whatever they want on the road.

Get careless driving an ambulance and you can easily kill someone. That could mean a prison sentence just like in your private car.

Drive safely.

EDIT:

Do you think what the Police Officer did is right? Drinking and driving is very, very serious. Any EMT who does this should lose his ability to drive and ambulance and have his EMT certification placed on probation with drug and alcohol monitoring. This totally shows that EMT is not responsible enough to be given the responsibility of an ambulance and patients.

Also, that officer should be disciplined. He at least should have had the EMT park his car and take a taxi or call his parents to get him. If this EMT is bragging about it and you are posting it publicly here which is not as anonymous as you think, it won't be long before consequences come to that EMT and Police Officer.

I hope you think seriously about the responsibility of being an EMT. If you think getting out of tickets and penalties, especially for drinking and driving, is cool, I hope you never become an EMT.

Should i cry to get out of a speeding ticket?

If you think it will work why not?
