How do I get rid of my son's girlfriend?
Now before you say I'm not a nice person, my son's life is truly about to go down the wrong path. He's 20 and just starting out in his life. And we all know that this relationship probably won't last, and I've been waiting it out for 5 years now. But things have recently taken an ominous turn. I've ignored the fact that she bosses him around and tried to convince him not to go to university a year ago so that he could take his tuition money (well, my money) and buy her a car with it. He's alienated from his friends and she is completely rude to us. There are a lot of stories I could tell, but I'm not going to get into it. Just trust me, this woman is evil. All of this I've ignored and trusted my sons judgment. And where she is concerned its been good so far. So, like I said, I've been patiently riding this relationship out. HOWEVER... she is now talking a lot about how much she wants to start a family and how good a father he would be and how they would have such cute children together. Neither one of the kids works and my son would have to drop out of school to support his family. (Because I'm sure the hell not going to do it.) In addition to this, she's talking about marriage and has warned us that she wants a big expensive wedding and even sat us down for a serious discussion about budgeting and saving for it so we don't have to go into debt for it. She seriously doesn't understand how inappropriate she is. Her parents can't contribute to a wedding or a baby. They live month to month as her mom and dad work low paying jobs and are both frequently unemployed. And yes, I've had several conversations about safe sex with my son and have been informed that I shouldn't worry and that she "takes care" of the birth control. Ya, right. And yes, I've told him that a baby at this time would screw up his future. He's 20. There is no telling him anything. He's convinced he's in control of the situation. To add to the seriousness, she is insanely jealous of all the women that "he must be talking to at school". "You better not be talking to any other girls in your classes!" "You'd never leave me, Jeff, would you? You are going to love me forever, right?" So, how do I make this woman go away. BEFORE she knocks herself up to hold onto him.

My son's girlfriend is a horrible slut. She wears unbelievably showy clothes. She says bad words all the time. Everything about her is fake. Her hair is dyed blonde and highlighted pink, she wears heavy heavy eyeliner, and she has lots of piercings. Plus she's 14 and he's 17. Last night she snuck into his room, because her parents grounded her. I heard a noise came upstairs and saw her. I told her she could stay the night on the couch. How do I get rid of the Big Bad Wolf in my son's closet?
I can't believe that damn wolf is still striking fear into young children's hearts!!! I need to share a story: Never Ending Story was my FAVORITE movie when I was a kid. I was around 5/6yo & petrified of the wolf. My father thought it would be funny (MEN!) to make fangs out of paper and jump out at me when the lights were really dim. Needless to say, he scared the living **** out of me, I dropped to the floor and started crying. Through my parents laughter, they explained to me that daddy was just joking & that he was being a 'pretend' wolf just like the 'pretend' wolf in the movie. OK, it actually worked & I wasn't scared of the wolf in the movie anymore. But I cautiously walked past that area of the house where he jumped out at me waiting for it to happen again for months. Whatever ends up working for you, don't replace one fear with another!! Why not get your son a plastic sword like the one Atreyu used to kill the wolf in the movie? He can keep it beside the bed & hold it up when he thinks the wolf will jump on him (in the movie, Atreyu is holding the sword when the wolf jumps on him, and that's what kills the wolf). I only suggest this because he may be dreaming that the wolf is in his closet and the only way to stop a reoccuring nightmare is to defeat the demon. Good Luck!!
