Can I Give My 6 Week Old Puddle Milk

What kind of treats are best to give to my 7-week-old puppy?

I prefer natural food versus commercially prepared dog treats. For example, chicken or cheese, cut up into pea-size pieces make good training treats. You can also use full-size raw carrots for chewing. These are far better than natural bones since they won’t usually chip the teeth, and have some nutritional value. You can also give your puppy a Kong or a Nylabone to chew on.Don’t give Milk Bones, Beggin Strips or Slim Jims. (Where’s the Beef? Why your dog should never eat another Milk-Bone or Beggin Strip, and you should avoid the Slim Jims). Learn to read dog food and treat package labels, and select food and treats without dyes and artificial preservatives. Use treats for their reinforcement value. Give your dog treats following behaviors that you want to see repeated, and give your puppy something to chew on when you need to keep him busy, or re-direct his biting.© 2018 Cindy Ludwig, Canine Connection LLC www.clicker.solutions

What should a 9 week old puppy eat?

Congrats on your new pup.

In answer to the drinking only milk comment your friend made.....NO, even if she were still nursing, by 9 weeks, she would be expected to be eating some form of solid food and drinking water. if she werent she would be very ill. Young pups begin to eat and drink by around 3 weeks-ish. They are weaned between 6 and 12 weeks-ish. Each pup is an individual. Some wean earlier, some later. Hopefully you got your pup from a reputable breeder!?

I do not feed commercial dog food, I feed only raw foods,(raw meat, raw bones, raw organs) so thats what I would suggest. If she had never had raw, then you would have to start slow....but its far more involved than what your question implies you are seeking. :-) If you would like more information on a raw diet, please feel free to email me and I will share whatever info I have with you.

I am also going to offer some vaccine info for your new baby.

Can I leave my four week old puppy alone for 5 hours? My puppy is miniature poodle

You really, really should not. If you absolutely have to, make sure the pup is in an escape-proof enclosure or a crate. Make sure it can stay warm—temperature should be about 75 degrees F. Make sure it has a place to poop and pee well away from its bedding. It should have water available in a bowl that won’t tip over. Five hours is too long for a month-old pup to go without eating, so make sure some puppy mush consisting of high quality puppy food well moistened, preferably with some canine milk replacer (for another week, then you can use water). You should not have a puppy that young anyway, unless it’s an orphan. Puppies should be with their mother and their littermates until 8 weeks of age; it’s important to their health and socialization. If possible, return the pup to the breeder and pick it up in a month. If you can’t return it, then treat the puppy as an orphan. There is plenty of guidance on-line for raising them.Be sure the pup is on a worming schedule.

My new puppy a 6 week old min pin wants to drink milk. do you think this is ok?

Puppies/dogs should not be given cows milk - they can't digest it. Use either puppy formula, or *goats milk (which is closest to b itch milk in makeup, apart from puppy formula). At 6 weeks, he should have stayed with his litter-mates for at least another 2 weeks, but if his breeder allowed him to go at this young age, he's probably better with you. He should be on 4 solid meals a day, and probably milk mid-morning, mid-afternoon and last thing at night (warmed). You should probably soften/soak his puppy meal, with milk or water, too.

* Dogs CAN tolerate goats milk - I had generations of puppies on it lol.

6 week old puppy has diarrhea?

A 6 week old puppy should be eating canned puppy food. Sometimes it will need to be mixed with a little puppy milk, or warm water so they can eat it better. A puppy should never be fed baby food as a sole diet. Also, reputable breeders will not allow a dog to be purchased any younger than 8 weeks of age, so that's a red flag right there. Has the dog been dewormed? There are many causes of diarrhea like change in food, stress, parasites as well as bacterial and viral infections. Get the pup to a Vet asap, diarrhea can rapidly dehydrate a small pup. If you can not get to a Vet today, feed a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice (break the chicken up into very small pieces) If you don't have chicken, ground beef will do but be sure it's boiled, not baked or fried. Get some pedialyte from the grocery store. Mix half pedialyte and half water and offer to drink, if he/she is not drinking you will need to syringe feed every a small amount every 2-3 hours to keep her hydrated.

What is the best care for a 5-week old puppy?

First of all you need to make sure that the puppy is healthy by taking him to the vet and getting him checked properly. Then comes food which is very important as puppy needs nutritional food at this stage. Provide him with starter dog food of a reputed brand like Royal Canin, Hills etc.Don’t bath him rather use dry shampoo for cleaning.Deworming is another major step to be taken. Get your puppy dewormed. For more information on dogs and dogs care do visit my blog https://www.dhappypuppy.com/
