Can I Graduate From Hs Early

Should I graduate high school early?

I've been seriously considering graduating high school one year early for a while now. I want to become a prenatal sonographer when out of college. All of my friends are graduating a year or two before me and I know I would be miserable my senior year so the social take backs don't affect me very much. I've always been more mature than kids my age because I grew up with sisters much older than me. The two options I've considered are doing an internship at Disney World during what would have been my senior year and then going to college or getting all of my basic classes done at my local community college (which is very good) and then transferring to a university. What do you all think? (multiple opinions appreciated)

How can I graduate early from high school?

Perhaps the most important issue to consider is - what do you want to do after you graduate. If you want to work, you may be too young for numerous jobs. If you want to go to college, consider in which colleges you’re interested, which major and what high school course work would help you for these majors.I graduated high school early, at the end of my junior year, because my situation at home was difficult. My parents were fighting, blamed it on me, and threatened to kick me out of the house. I offered to finish high school a year early, and leave in a few months. However, I really did not take course work that would have helped me in college (I attended Reed college, a tough school). In high school, I had time for only geometry, trig, and algebra 2, but not pre-calc, which I would have taken my senior year. If I’d had pre-calc (or better yet, HS calc - not offered then), it would have been very useful for my college courses. Also, I’d taken biology and chemistry, but not physics. Again, taking HS physics would have made my college course load easier.I did well in high school - in my junior year, I had the top scores, in my school of about 2,000 students, in both the math and English SAT tests, as well as a 5 on my English AP exam. (The only AP course offered at the time in my high school in California in 1969).If you can take courses at a nearby college, you may make friends there with whom you are more compatible. This could help you decide on a college major, and better prepare you for college studies.Good luck!

How to graduate early from high school?

Im going to the 10 grade now and i got all the credits from 9th which was 70. I know if you get all the credits you need to graduate, you can graduate early...so how can i do this? I know i should ask someone at my school who works there, but i also want some pointers from someone who has experience with this.
If you're wondering why on world i want to graduate early, ill explain.
I want to achieve my dreams. It's hard for me now because we dont have a car, so when i turn 16 i can work and give my mum money for a car. Graduating early would help me achieve my dreams because if i want to go get a part time job, and then go to acting classes or a music studio, i wont have to worry about like ok i get out of school at 3, get home by 3:40 i have to be at work by 4 and then have to go to acting classes at 6.
Also out here in Los Angeles, i do not fit in at the schools because i realized the kids are real materialistic. Got to have the best looking weave and best shoes and expensive clothes. I aint got time for all of that, school is not a fashion show.
Also i want to set an example for other kids my age. See if i graduate early, others would be like "dang she was not playing when she said she's going to graduate early. i need to take school more serious and get my grades up so i can graduate early like she did."

Speaking of grades...do you have to have straight A's? Because i get A's and B's but it's not like five B's and 2 A's it's like an equal amount. I have a good gpa. I think 3.4 or something like that.
O and im not asking how to skip a grade, im asking how to graduate early. Trust me, if i woulda skipped in 5th grade like they wanted me, i would not be here asking this.

Well thanks for helping me out!!!

Can I graduate from high school early?

yeah dude i don't really know why you would want to, but at my HS they let you do that.
Just take all the required courses as early as possible and then that will be all you have to do! but keep in mind if you are thinking about colleges, most of them usually want to see more than just the bare minimum of requirements.

Is there a way to graduate high school early?

I graduated high school one year early, when I was 16. It depends on your school, to be honest. For my high school, there was a certain number of required credits in certain disciplines for both a regular and advanced studies diploma. My school had 4 periods a day, and we were on an A day/B day schedule. Instead of taking a lunch period every day and wasting two periods, I just took extra classes and ate a sandwich while working. Every summer, I took 2 classes during summer school (2 was the max). I ended up with about 10+ credits more than what I needed for an advanced diploma.

I didn't take AP classes, because despite taking so many classes, I was never academic- I just wanted to be done with it. I wish I had though, because when I see so many of my classmates who have taken APs, they're already first semester sophomores. My best friend started uni only last September, and she's already graduating in May because she took TONS of APs and also got all 4s and 5s on her tests.

Good luck!

How can I graduate high school early?

It is possible for you to complete high school early, but the level of difficulty for doing so really depends on your the requirements and policies for your state and county. The best place to begin gathering research is at your current school. Ask your guidance counselor about the options that might be available for you either directly through the school or with your county or state. If you go to a public school go to your county's school board site and see if there is any information about completing a grade during the summer or accelerating through another approach. You might want to explore the possibility of online schools or taking the GED if you're really eager to graduate early.

I have several friends who received their high school diploma or GED in their mid-teens. Some have attended private online schools such as Stanford's EPGY, and others have gone to publicly funded "virtual schools." A few just got their GED. Many of the dancers I compete with go to school online in order to have more flexibility with their dancing schedules, and quite a few graduate earlier than they would at a traditional school. I actually graduated when I was sixteen, but that was primarily because of the unique grading system of my elementary school that led to me starting high school at an unusually young age. I only know of one other person who went to a physical (as opposed to online) school and actually graduated at 16.

It's become an increasingly popular option to leapfrog from the 10th or 11th grade directly into an early-start college without ever obtaining your high school degree. Simon's Rock is a wonderful private "early college" in Massachusetts that allows mature, motivated teens to become college students at a high school age.

Before you become the Energizer Bunny and speed through high school really deliberate on whether it's in your best interest now and in your future. Come up with solid options for your post-graduation life, and talk with your parents about how they feel and what they hope for you. I actually really wish that I had graduated in 2010 or 2011 with my own age group. I feel like I've raced through my adolescence without giving myself enough time to actually soak it all in.

Best of luck to you! : )

How do u graduate early from high school?

For those who have graduated from high school early, how was it and why did you do it?

I was always a little "ahead" of my peers in school. Not like one of those geniuses who graduates college at 13, but ahead of most kids. Honors classes from 4th grade to 9th grade, always scored well on standardized tests, etc. I was not an especially diligent student (I only did the homework that I saw value in. I abhor busywork and didn't have the discipline to do something I disliked), but I had generally good grades (3.5ish). In 10th grade, I didn't have any AP/Honors classes to take and my GPA dropped to a 2.2... In "regular" classes, I was bored and stopped doing classwork altogether, though I was never disruptive or a distraction. I also took the SATs on a lark and scored fairly well (1250/1600).My parents decided that I was wasting time in High School, which is true, and had me get my GED and enroll in a local Community College. There were a few embarrassing moments due to being the youngest person there by a full 2 years, but those were generally minor. I did well academically and was much more engaged with my education. I transferred to a Uni after 2 years in CC.The only issue I had was that the CC students saw me as a kid, still living with their parents and didn't get a car until midway through my first year. Very nice to me, but not really interested in being friends outside of class. My HS friends still hung out with me, but we had no shared experiences at school (where they spent half their waking hours), so we did grow apart. Not really fitting in with either crowd made me feel a bit like an outcast.
