Can I Have A Picture Of Muhammed

Why Is It Okay To Draw A Picture Of Jesus But Not Muhammad?

Actually, the original reason behind not drawing Muhammad was so he wouldn't be worshiped @ first answerer.

Jesus has already been drawn and worshiped, that's a lost cause. Drawing Jesus in a bad light rarely happens. Drawing the Islamic view of Jesus (not the christian "version") would possibly cause anger.

Is it ok to use a picture of Muhammad in a presentation?

It is not OK to use a picture of Prophet Muhammad in a presentation or anything. However you can use a picture where it shows his face to be glowing. That way you will not offend anyone or anything. It is wrong to use a picture of Prophet Muhammad with a face since nobody can have a correct representation. Also he is very holy and spiritual, etc. It just isn't good to do this.I am not very knowledgeable in this aspect, but I do know not to do this. I have always been taught never to use a picture of Prophet Muhammad with his face showing.Good luck with your presentation!

Why can't people draw pictures of Muhammad?

The answer to this question is very simple. Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad (pbut) are all God's prophets. They are only messengers, nothing more! Now.... no one, depicts or draws Abraham or Moses and none think they are God, there are no literal pictures of Moses in any Synagogues! Same way no one thinks Muhammad is God! The only exception is Jesus & the Christians! Due to ignorance, and massive manipulation & humanizing of the scriptures by people like Luke, John & Matthew, they turned Jesus from a messenger to God! In other words they started believing God had sex with a woman and had his son! Jesus was an Arab Jew by birth, and h had no connection to today's Vatican! The only connection was that, then Jerusalem was ruled by the Romans! So, they started drawing & painting pictures of Jesus , and started worshiping him! And that unfotunately became a norm! So, when Muhammad got the prophecy he was very clear about the fact that, there is only one God, and people must not worship anyone else except from him, Muhammad (pbuh) is the last prophet ever to come, Jesus (pbuh) will return as his follower to prove the truth that, he was only a messenger, and he wasn't God or God's son, and Jesus will also fight Dajjal or anti christ. After he dies, the only prophetic religion that will remain in the world is Islam. And Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) emphasized that, there should never be any drawings/paintings of him, or even any other human beings, in the fear that people will turn back to darkness again, and will start worshiping humans or idols or their paintings! Muhammad literally used to get very angry if he saw any drawings or paintings of anyone anywhere! So, that is the history why Muslims around the world gets offended by the drawings or paintings!

Is this really a picture of Muhammad ibn Abdul-Wahhab?

He died in 1792 and the first picture ever was taken in 1827.  That means it is impossible for a picture of him to exist. The picture you posted is usually thrown around with his name, but as Sam Siddiqui showed, that's a picture of someone in the 19th century. If you go to his Wikipedia entry, there is no picture.  However, the article below does show a picture and it is different from the one you posted:Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab BiographyAgain, just the like one you posted, that must be another picture which is thrown around with his name.  Obviously, some (many) people don't realize the impossibility of the existence of any picture of his because they don't know the time periods involved.

Pictures of prophet Muhammad Pbuh are haram right?

Thank you sahar, for bringing this to everyones attention. its haram to have pictures of any prophets, especially Prophet Mohammed (pbuh). They should respect our religion. But that's what u get from uneducated, racist people who probably don't even respect their own religion.

Do anyone have a picture or a drawing of Prophet Mohammed?

Yes. Though portraying Muhammad (or anyone for that matter) is against Islam, there are plenty of pictures of Muhammed depicted by various artists even before Charlie Hebdo published a cartoon and Muslims went berserk. Note that all these were painted by Muslim artists. Though I'm not a connoisseur of art, I can't help but appreciate the style and colour patterns. They do tell us stories.A mere look at his Wikipedia page gave me these:Gabriel and Muhammad - Face visibleMuhammed on donkey - Face left outMuhammed during his Farewell Pilgrimage:Muhammad (before being a prophet) with the Black Stone - Kaaba in the background. My personal favourite. For further reading: Depictions of Muhammad

Are Muslims offended by non-Muslims drawing pictures of Muhammad?

Yes. Muslims get offended.Prophet Muhammad did not want his disciples to draw his picture. The reason for this strict rule is because, the people earlier started worshiping the previous prophet Jesus and started making statues and portraits for Jesus in their worship. To prevent this from happening again, Quran mentions clearly in several places that prophet Muhammad is not God, but only a messenger. To ensure this is understood and to prevent people from making the past mistake again, it is prohibited to draw pictures of Muhammad. Now what if non-muslims do it? That is considered as a mockery. For a Muslim, Quran is the word of God, Allah. For someone who does not believe in that it is not a big deal. But for a Muslim there is nothing more important than that, since Quran has declared this life to be temporary. And the prophet is the chosen one by Allah. The respect Muslims have for their prophet is enormous and any amount of disrespect will not be going well with Muslims. This cannot be taken as a joke as it is not a joking matter. If someone makes fun of someones dead mother or father, will the person take it lightly? If someone makes a funny cartoon of someones dead parents, will they take it lightly? (Provided they loved and respected their parents). Muslims consider prophet more important than their own parents. Hence, naturally, they get offended when anyone does anything that makes fun of prophet.Having fun at the cost of others is common these days. But we wont do it intentionally when we know very well that there are some sensitive issues that should be avoided during fun. However, in the name of freedom of expression, people go out of their way to offend muslims in issues that are very sensitive to them, in order to provoke the muslims.

Is it true that Shia Muslims are allowed to make pictures of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH?

For me it would be great, and you can actually search the internet to find some old paintings of Prophet Muhammad created by Muslims and some non-Muslims in history. I would still encourage you to search because there is a lot that can be found on it, but let me paste some here:The Prophet Muhammad sits with the Abrahamic prophets in Jerusalem, anonymous, Mi'rajnamaIsaiah's vision of Jesus riding a donkey and Muhammad riding a camel, al-BiruniA historic Islamic depiction of MuhammadIn Image of Muhammad made for an old book coverA portrait of the Prophet Muhammad riding the BuraqA 16th-century Turkish image of Mohammed welcoming Jacob, from the ‘Zubdet ut Tevarih’ by Lokman (1583)Mohammad Preaching.
