Depends on exactly what you mean, on servers mods a very rarEly used, instead plug-ins and texture packs are used, the plug-in is server side and texture packs will need to be downloaded, however with mods you will have to install the mod before joining the server due to mods being harder to in stall and require editing of .minecraft generally through the use of forge. Proper DDoS attacks are difficult to actually locate the person who is doing it since they use a script ran on machines they don't even own. Chances are slim that he even has the ability to execute this kind of an attack, since it requires so many computers, and most kids don't have the resources to spread the required software to machines for use in their attacks. It also requires some level of expertise with networking. Lastly there is nothing that can be done until 1. he HAS executed the attack, and 2. you have located him and pinpointed the source of the attack (usually they hide behind a proxy, and you need to execute an accurate traceroute to locate the source)

Well I assume you mean you’re playing online on a server, because in single player it wouldn’t matter.But, to use your example, if a youtuber is streaming or has a video on youtube or something and they’re spotted playing on a server (let’s call it server x), by an admin of that server. And they’re seen whilst also having these hacks installed, it probably depends on the server and the person who sees you. The admin of server x might not care at all, the admin of server y might say, “hey mate, you’re not in trouble or anything, I just want to let you know that if you do use those hacks on our server you’ll be banned.” And finally the admin of server z might outright ban the youtuber or streamer or whatever it is.:)

Is it Illegal to Hack Into Someone's Minecraft Account?
Just saying first: I wouldn't access any actual money accounts. Just in-game stuff. But I was wondering, I play on this Minecraft server and this one dude who no one likes (It's a small server) always kills everyone. I was just wondering if it would be legal to hack into his account and get the stuff back. He always wins it unfairly and he has hack clients but we haven't been able to prove it fully. As I already said is it illegal to do this? I WOULD NOT access any money accounts or anything of the sort.
