Installing windows 7 FROM Linux?
SO i finally found the right iso. (I'm not paying $100 + for an OS) I extracted it, changed it to an executable file, then ran the setup.exe through wine. The problem is, when i click the big install windows button, I get an error message: "Windows setup cannot find a location to store temporary installation files. To install windows, make sure a partition on your boot disk has at least 727 megabytes of space. Error code 0x80070490." This is weird because I at least have 200 gigs of storage left on my hard drive. What do I need to do to replace Ubuntu with Windows 7? Do I need to make a separate partition? If so, please tell me how. Thanks guys!
Windows 10 installation help?
My laptop was in windows 7 which had viruses, I downloaded the windows 10 .iso installation file from Microsoft. I opened the iso file and run the setup.exe from the desktop then successfully installed windows 10 in my laptop with the option to not keep the old files. My question is, are the viruses still in my computer? Even though I did not use a bootable flash drive/cd to install a new OS?
Any useless files in windows_7.iso file that can be deleted to install windows through a bootable USB drive?
I want to install windows 7 Home basic through a bootable USB drive. The problem is that windows_7.iso file is 3.81 GB but my USB is 3.72 GB. Is there anything useless that I can delete in the .iso file so that I can install windows? Or any other method would be appreciated. Thanks :)
