Can I Insult A Teacher

I insulted my teacher. What should I do now?

Yep, it looks like she is really hurt.
I am a teacher, too, but if a student told me what you told yours, I wouldn't get angry at all, I would tell him/her that, due to the lack of knowledge, the student in case is not aware of the fact that people reach the highest point in creativity between the age of 45 and 55. But this would be me. As for your teacher, all she wanted was to improve your capacity of thinking fast (and ahead), that is why she probably invited you to play chess with her. Chess is a combination of Mathematics and poetry.
A good idea would be to go to her, tell her what you found out from reading this answer (especially the improving your skills part) and assure her that, when you are like her, you'd be happy to be able to be as quick and as good as she is, but that you just cannot become a better person if she doesn't forgive you. Also, do not forget to tell her that your intention was to praise her, not to insult her, but you did it very clumsily.

How would a teacher feel if you insult them?

First of all he/she will feel very angry. They can slap you on the spot and kick you out of class and even take to principal or call your parents. If you are a good student and have a good impression on that teacher, then he/she will definitely feel very very disappointed. If the teacher is new to school and kind of introvert, then he/she will feel ashamed of being insulted by a student infront of so many children.Trust me, never ever try to insult your teacher. They are the one due to whom you can read and write and understand this world. Even though some teachers nowadays are kind of selfish and bad towards students, yet never insult them.

My teacher insulted me in front of the class. What should I do?

I'm a girl in high school. My teacher is also female. It was the beginning of the period and all my classmates were talking to each other. I was sitting in my assigned seat in the middle of the class. I wasn't really talking. A girl behind me asked for a paper and I handed it to her. That's when my teacher called me out . It had nothing to do with what I was doing, she said my name to get my attention, and started talking about my hair. (My hair is unruly.) She started saying how she sometimes just wants to take me to the hair salon to get it done cause it's so fluffy and puffy. This week is also spirit week and yesterday was decades day. She asked me when the day was, (rhetorically) and then said how 80's day was yesterday. All this had nothing to do with the subject, my behavior, or really anything. We didn't have a bad relationship and I thought we were on good terms. Then all of a sudden I had to be a victim to this? I didn't respond. I was just that shocked. Everyone heard, everyone watched. It wasn't like she approached me, no. She was standing in the front of the class saying all this. I just couldn't respond because it was so random, unexpected, and out of complete nowhere. She completely ridiculed me in front of my peers. So, forget the fact that I didn't defend myself, forget the fact that no one defended me- my question refers to how I should respond. I was thinking of reporting her, but will it accomplish anything? I don't want to switch out of the class but I'm scared if I report her she might find out... She can't really do anything to me, but IDK.... I guess it's just me being scared of nothing. I still just can't believe it happened. :( It feels like I imagined it all, when I didn't. It happened. Should I talk to her? Or report her? Or ignore it? o.0

Also, if I report her, what will happen?

What will you do when your teacher insult you in front of your classmates?

My teachers used to do this too... Truth is you can't really do anything about it. Try reporting her.
But this probably won't work.
The best thing you can do is get a class transfer.
Or just give it back to her.

Good luck :)

Why are teachers allowed to insult us but we can't insult them?

Well I have some teachers who can say some really mean things sometimes...once my math teacher told me I wasn't smart enough to get out of her class even though I proved her wrong then my english teacher told me I thought I was better then everyone else which is not true she doesn't even know me which is why I didn't say anything to her backk..well my math teacher like three months ago got smart with me after I asked her to go to the nurse because my stomach was hurting like hell felt like I had to throw up and I said a few things back to her and got in trouble and the when she told me I wasn't smart enough I only told her one thing, got kicked out and my mom had to come in..why can teachers treat us like crap but when we try to defend ourselves we never win..I just think we have like no rights

Can a teacher be fired for insulting a student?

I don't mean like saying they're a bit stupid I mean really bad insults because I got in a bit of trouble at school and my form tutor took me out of class and then called me "disgusting" "vermin" "vile" and "infectious" he also said if it was in his power he would have me expelled. I was thinking about filing a complaint because I'm not sure that he actually has the right to say that kind of thing to a student but I didn't want to do it if he actually can get away with saying that.

Can a teacher insult students on purpose?

It really depends on how you are talking about and what exactly is going on. Tenured professors for example can rip students pretty good in a professional disagreeing type of way. They may not be well liked for it but that's their choice in the world of academia. Now, just being hateful and out of line is a different story even for tenured people but even then nothing is really done because they just want your money.
