Can I Legally Hire Someone Under 16

Can you legally drop out of school at 16 in california or nevada??

Yes, you can. The law really won't be able to do much about it.

If it's you that your talking about, why would you do that to your self? Sure you can get your GED, but it isn't the same as getting your diploma, a diploma is better. People would rather hire some one who has a diploma than some one with a GED. A diploma shows that your a hard worker, that your willing to go the distance to get what you want.

You'll screw up your entire life by dropping out of school. I know going to school isn't always exciting , but neither is having to work for minimum wage.

If you finish high school and then go on to college and graduate your life will be so much easier, right now you have the support of your parents so that you can do it. It's easier to pay your dues now while your young, in other words you work hard now to get your education. So that you won't be breaking your back all your life just to stay ahead of the bills.

It's easy when you live at home and your parents pay for every thing, they make it look so easy. But, believe me it isn't all ways so easy having to work every day and to pay the bills that keep coming in every month.

Right now your young (a child) and you don't have all the adult responsibilities on your shoulders, be a child as long as you can be. It's such a short part of your life and it goes away too fast, ask any one who's childhood is over. However, when you are grown up you will no longer be able to avoid adult responsibilities as they will be there in your face every day.

Please really give it a lot of though if it's you your talking about. Dont' hurt your self like that. I wish you the best in what ever you do with your life.

they can legally breathe.

Is it illegal to hire a domestic servant of 14 years age?

Yes,it is illegal. The Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act (CLPR Act) 1986 prohibits employment of a child in 18 occupations and 65 processes and regulates the conditions of working of children in other occupations/ processes. As per this Act, a child means any person who has not completed 14 years of age. The Act provides punishment for the offence of employing or permitting employment of any child in contravention of the provisions of this Act.For more details read http://labour.gov.in/upload/uplo...However,if you are well versed with the laws you will understand that child labour is actually legal except for the hazardous occupations mentioned in the act. In a further amendment that was passed by the cabinet this year in may, there have been some relaxations wherein the child can work in a family enterprise after the school hours or during vacations. For more details read http://m.hindustantimes.com/indi...Now as far as employing him is concerned,i would rather leave it to your discretion. You can ofcourse go ahead and employ him without bothering about how it shapes up his future;or you can enrol him in a day school or an evening school while he can still help you out with domestic work without missing out on his basic education. Its his right but it certainly isn't your responsibility. Its just called being a good human being.Your daughter will get around respecting people if she sees you doing that.Good luck.

Can a 16-year-old live alone in the US and enroll in high school without a guardian or parents?

Sure. There is a legal process called EMANCIPATION. This is where the parents willfully give up all rights and claims to their adolescent and some states will allow it at 16 if the parents sign custody to a judge approved minor. Now ask me if a 16 year old SHOULD be emancipated. No. An apartment manager or owner will NOT want to rent to a person so young. Most jobs that pay decent wages you can live on WILL NOT hire under 18. Most 16 year Olds can NOT support themselves in a way that will make them able to thrive.I'm sorry but I believe you should consider maybe reporting your parents to the state (if there is honest abuse or neglect) or asking your parents if you can live with an alternate relative. If it's possible, maybe try to work things out. Why would anyone want to be homeless, or hungry and without the education, or the marketable skills necessary to pay for a place with utilities and food and hot water and other things necessary to really thrive

Is it legal to work part time at the age of 16 in India?

In theory, yes. With the exception of sector specific laws regarding employment in hazardous industries, there exists nothing in the law that prevents a 16 year old from working. The biggest impediment, however, would be the inability of 16 year old (a minor) to enter into a contract. Most people would be unwilling to employ you without a contract. Also, without a contract, it would leave you vulnerable - because there is no clear, legally enforceable understanding of your rights and responsibilities. That is why, in practice, virtually no formal employment is available for a minor. That's just the way it is. It might seem wrong for an entrepreneurial soul like you, but the situation is so only to protect minors.

What jobs hire a 16 year old in Atlanta, Georgia?

How old do i have to be to work at mcdonalds in oregon.?

If Oregon allows you to work at 15, then McDonald's might hire you. However, you should know that just because a company legally CAN hire 15 year olds, doesn't mean that it will. I used to work in a retail store in an area where we could have legally hired people who were as young as 16. However, the manager and the owner both refused to hire anyone under 18. Minors generally have special rules that employers must be careful of, and in many places, it's just easier to not hire anyone under the age of 16.

McDonald's, though, DOES hire minors. Having said that, you're probably out of luck for this year. Most places that had openings for summer jobs have already filled those openings. You have to start applying for jobs BEFORE you want one, especially for summer jobs. Most places will have their slots filled in March or April. Sometimes you luck out and can find a position that someone else had to leave (had to move, had to go to summer school, etc.), but for the most part, everyone who wanted to hire a teen for the summer has already done so.

I'm not saying that it's hopeless to apply, but I am saying that the odds are against you at this time of year.
