Can I Make A Child Abuse Report To Dsh If It Was In The Past And Im 19 Now I Have Permanent

What Happens to kids that get taken by Child Protective Services?

If CPS feels there is reason to investigate they will.

If the investigation determines the child or children need to be removed from the care of the parents CPS will place them in a certified and approved foster home. Sometimes it's possible for relatives and family members to interceed at this point and not have children placed with strangers. The Important part is that the family is there at the moment the state decides the remove the children and willing to take them into care the first night they need to be cared for.

If the child is placed into a foster home, the biological parents will be given a Case Plan with the things they must do in order to regain custody of the child. If they work their plan the child is returned to the parents.

If the parents do not work their plan the state has to make Permanent Plans for a child who spends 16 out of 23 months in foster care. At this point the state Must look for relatives or kin willing and able to adopt the family members. The relatives will have to have an approved relative or kinship home study.

If the parents fail to work the case plan and the state has made a permanancy plan it will be for either placement with an approved and home studied relative or with the foster parents who are caring for the child and as a last resort with complete strangers.

If there is abuse happening you Need to report it to CPS you can do this without giving them your information. However, they have less reason to respond to anon reports and no way to follow up.

If you feel your sibling needs to be removed from your parent... I would get an attorney to represent you and see if this can be accomplished without the sibling going into Foster Care.

If you want to parent your sibling I would sign up and take the Foster Parent and Foster Adopt classes to learn how to help and parent abused children who are seperated from their parents...And get a Foster Adopt home study started so you have every legal advantage in the event something happens and you can step in ready and above board about everything.

What should I do if my parents are installing a security camera in my bedroom?

Here are a few ideas -Sneakily spray clear coat on the lens, if you’re bad at spray painting like me, it will make the lens hazy, but still seem ok from outside. if you got enough time before the installation, you can sand the lens with 80 grit and then clear coat it.Do the math (or Physics?) and use permanent / electromagnets to produce an electromagnetic field in your room that renders all electronic devices within the field unusable. If the field of view of the camera isn’t your entire room, you can stash all your playboys in a blinded corner.use optical illusion - a set of mirrors to generate a kaleidoscopic effect and totally confuse the person watching the video footage.Get access to where the video footage is being temporarily stored (if its CCTV it would probably be linked to a memory device on a nearby computer) and hack into that device. Modulate the clock and timings on the footage to show it 3 days later than live!. this will give you enough time to edit the footage before it goes live.Ask a friend to steal your camera (or steal it yourself) and damage a window or something to fake a burglary. Tell your parents that they pointed a gun at yaIf the above “very practical” pro tips don’t work, let them install the camera and when its midnight, start acting like you have been possessed by a spirit etc. After a few days your parents will take you to the exorcist's, bribe the exorcist and tell them to tell your parents that its the camera that is bothering an evil spirit and it will keep possessing your child unless you get rid of that device.Even if that doesn’t work, tell your parents that you’re now scared of sleeping alone in your room and would like to sleep in their room instead. They will agree at first as they are loving parents, but later when they wouldn’t get any chance for romance or making out in their own room they will kick you out of the house…problem solved!Lemme know how it goesPeace

How should I respond to my 18 year old son who is a senior in high school smoking pot?

Based on your comments you won't like my response. I have a son in college who smokes pot recreationally. I have tried to educate him on drugs as honestly as i could. He is a well adjusted person who has had the same part-time job for almost 2 years, with many commendations, enjoys his college work, never in any trouble other than a ticket once, or touches alcohol (I've even offered him some on occasion with dinner and he flatly won't touch it). I myself have seen the tragedies of alcohol and drug abuse in close proximity so I always worry. But in my opinion the physiological effects of alcohol and cigarettes are far more dangerous than pot, not to mention its social ills in drunk driving, abuse /deviance against self or others, and cancers. And I'm not speaking from an immune point of view.I believe addiction, not the drug, is the danger . Of course many drugs are addictive but so are alcohol, food, gambling and sex. From my own experience, parents will not control a child's behavior with threats if kids are driven to something that fulfills an unmet need, and at that age, he is an adult. Ask yourself if he's using pot or alcohol as a coping mechanism for depression or anxiety on a daily or frequent basis, or if he is using it as a social lubricant, or just experimenting responsibly. I believe frequent use of drugs such as cocaine, heroin or prescriptions, tells me a person needs a reward mechanism that trumps the punishing reality or pressure he may be in, where physical addiction also takes over.I don't believe pot is a “"gateway” drug anymore than cough syrup is. It really depends on the individual and the effects he's looking for. Also ask yourself why you object: Legal repercussions, disapproval from your own social and religious peers, fear of physiological harm, history of addictive disposition in the family, his peers engaging in delinquent behavior, or that he seems vulnerable and troubled in general.? Trust your instincts and be honest about what you know and believe about your son’s reason for using pot.

Can a foreigner marry a U.S. citizen on a tourist visa?

Immigration status has no bearing on whether two people can be married in the US. As long as the couple meets all state and local requirements, the wedding can proceed.

The impact that the marriage will have on the foreign national's US immigration status is an entirely different issue. The US citizen spouse may, if so inclined, petition through DHS/CIS for the foreign national spouse to change status from non- immigrant, to Lawfully Admitted Permanent Resident.

Do temporary restraining orders appear on employment background checks?

It depends upon what the employer uses to get that background information. For less than $30. I can know more about you than you know about yourself. Most employer are too cheap to order that level of background search but the nature of things means that many employers do no searches at all. Here is why you think some information is shielded that is actually quite available. Consider a young woman who has an arrest for prostitution and later goes back and has the court record expunged. She thinks her life is now free of that taint. However when she was seeking a lawyer she reached to a girlfriend and emailed her questions about what to do about the prostitution arrest. Bingo ! Now that information is in the wild and any researcher can grab it and spread it all about. We are now in an era in which people must live with their past mistakes or conditions. When companies promise secrecy they still tend to sell your information. Ask anyone who takes a medication long term how much they are bombarded with companies seeking to supply that prescription for less than you might be paying. Even the big chain pharmacies spread your information about and they deny it. But if you take a script for insulin to your local drug store you will soon see if you don’t start getting a lot of phone calls from companies selling diabetic supplies.

Does Dish Detergent take out hair dye???

My friend used dish soap to lighten her black hair because she did not like it, though I love it! Our hair stylist told her to do it. I trust my stylist - I drive an hour every 6 weeks even though I live in a huge city for her to do my hair

She washed her hair a couple times in a row with dish soap and she said that while it didn't take it out completely, it lightened it.

Why does abortion seem so wrong to me? What am I missing? I’m a liberal. I’m also an atheist, so this is not a religious issue. No matter how I consider it, it seems to me that to abort a child is to murder a baby. Am I right?

OK…I’ll enter the fray on this one.My views are quite “non-Quora” mainstream. Like all of my views, they have evolved out of my personal experience. In the mid 1980’s I worked as a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit at Jefferson Davis hospital in Houston, TX. It was a huge public, safety-net obstetric hospital, and offered very little in terms of luxury but generally provided very good care.During that time there was a legislative oversight that resulted in a short period of time, a few months, when third trimester abortions were allowed under Texas law. During this period, we were caring for infants born very early, as early as 23 weeks gestation. We had absolute world-class capabilities in that NICU and did keep a great many of these infants alive, often with very good outcomes. In would not be uncommon for the financial obligations in caring for these infants to exceed two million dollars. While we were expending massive resources to keep these infants alive, in another part of the hospital, third trimester abortions were being routinely performed, terminating perfectly healthy pregnancies. A third trimester abortion is accomplished by killing the fetus in-utero and then dismembering the body. The “products of conception,” in my mind cannot be looked at by any properly functioning rational mind and not be thought of as human. This dichotomy, to me was clearly insane, and deeply, deeply immoral. So, I believe the reason that you feel it is murdering a baby, is that a baby is being murdered. I don’t believe you are missing anything. I believe you have a properly functioning moral compass and that you should learn to be comfortable with the direction it is guiding you.You asked this question very well.
