Can I Microwave Homemade Dog Treats

Homemade dog treats without flour...?

Hi I read up online a tuna dog treat. All I needed was a can of tuna, an egg, and flour. Then microwave it. Well, I didn't have flour so I replaced it with oatmeal oats. Can I bake it?

What homemade dog food can I give to my Maltese dog?

This is is a great infographic to get an idea. Can My Dog Eat That? - DoggyCrap.comYou really want to stick with the basics when it comes to your dog. Chicken, steak, and sometimes cheese or ham. Never give your dog homemade sweets or anything fattening. If you know it's “bad” for you than don't give it to your dog. Your dog will eat anything, so you might feed them something than can kill them and you won't notice till it's too late.

Can I cook an ordinary hot dog in the microwave? How long should it be in there?

It comes out better if you make it in a toaster oven. Leave it in for about 5 minutes in a toaster oven and it'll be really great.

How do you cook Spam in a microwave oven?

If you have no other method of cooking it, then slice off 3/8″ to 1/4″ (the thickness is entirely up to you), simply pop it into the microwave and press the button. About 45 seconds to one minute should do it, depending upon the strength/power of your microwave. That being said, you’re not really cooking it. Spam is fully cooked before it leaves the factory (just like a hot dog). Of course, like a hot dog, cold spam isn’t really all that appetizing, so all the microwave is doing is warming it.I have to say that people in Hawaii are probably gasping at your question and will insist this is a bad idea. The time-honored way of heating up Spam is in a skillet. When the meat comes into contact with a hot pan (medium to medium high heat), it forms a nice brown crust, which adds flavor and texture (think boiled bacon versus fried bacon). It’s is conceptually the same reason you cook a steak in a pan (or grill), rather than microwave it.Here is the difference. On the left, I’ve just microwaved a slice. It is warm, but completely soft. On the right is a slice than has been pan fried. Slightly crispy, slightly firmer - 1000% better. And, now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to finish my breakfast (after I redo that microwaved piece).

Help! I bought carob chips from Winco today to make homemade dog treats but....?

I am not completely convinced these are carob. I can say no I've never had it before but they taste super sweet and melt easy. As far as I read carob was bitter, like dark chocolate, and hard to melt. These melted in the microwave super quick and are more milky in color than dark. Does any one else purchase the bulk carob chips from Winco and if so were they similar to mine or were yours more the stereotypical carob description? Please advice guys, I really wanted to send some homemade dog treats out to friends but would never want to hurt any puppies!!!

Can you make dog treats using Hill's Z/D prescription diet canned dog food?

My dog is being put a food trial to test for food allergies and the vet has put her on Hill's Z/D canned dog food. While she is on this food trial, the only food she can consume for the next three months is the Hill's Z/D food. I need to be able to give her treats for obedience training classes but can only give her the Z/D food. My vet said it is possible to make treats out of the food by baking it but wasn't sure on the specifics. Has anyone else tried to do this? If so, at what temperature did you bake the canned food?

My dog has mastered the Kong... what now?

The Kong used to entertain/frustrate my dog for long periods of time, but now he's devised a system for getting the treats out very quickly. Does anybody have any suggestions for keeping my dog busy? I take him for plenty of long, brisk walks, I play with him, I pet him, but occasionally, I need to study without him bothering me! I also want something that will entertain him while I'm at classes. Please help!
