Can I Move My Dish Dvr Into Another Room

Can I move my Dish DVR into another room?

Im assuming that the reciever you have runs 2 tv's off of 1 box and if so what you will need to do is unscrew the coax cable that is pluged to the triplexer which is the splitter with 3 wires going to the reciever and one going to the satellite. Now move it to the room you want it in and screw the coax cable in that room back into the triplexer. Then you will need to go outside of your house where the service loop is. This should be located on the side of the house close to the dish. If the dish is kind of far from the house then just look for the cable coming up out of the ground where they dug the trench and burried it. If you live in a mobile home, sometimes the tech will put this service loop under the home which would require you to remove the siding. But basically find this service loop. It will have the cable in a loop with splitters on it. You should see a ground block and a diplexer. The ground block will basically look like a wide piece of metal with 4 cables screwed in to it with a ground wire screwed into the side going to the house's ground. The diplexer should be on the service loop as well unless the tech didnt do a good job. The diplexer will look like a splitter with 1 input on one side and 2 outputs on the other. What you will need to do is swap the 2 output wires. By doing this it will change the cables to where the satellite output goes to your living room and the second tv goes to the other room. This is the step that you missed, it sounds like you had the other step correct. A diplexer can be a little confusing so thats why i tried to describe it as best as possible.

This should fix your issue. Make sure you do not mess with anything at the dish because moving the dish by even 1 degree can throw it off missing the satellite by 70 miles

Hope this works and saves you money.

p.s. Just to warn you ahead of time you will need a wrench most likely to unscrew the connections outside because it is standard that every dish tech tightens all outside connectors with the torque wrench

Directv...Can you move a DVR to another room?

I recently just got Directv and I would like to move my DVR to another room. Is this possible to do on my own? And how would i go about doing that?

Thanks.

How can I move a dish DVR box to another room?

Alright so the main DVR box that records is in the living room which is tv1 and its connected to the main bedroom(parents bedroom) tv2 and the second normal DVR is in my room and its connected to my brothers room, so since my parents don't record anything, we want to move the main DVR recording box into my room, and use it with my brothers room and move my normal DVR box to the living room and be connected to my parents room, can we? and how?

Dish network VIP722 DVR not working?

Call tech support. If it did in fact work after moving it, then it may be overheating where you moved it to, but there might also be something connected wrong that is causing it to overheat. Or it might just be coincidence that it was after you moved it and maybe the box is just dying, but my money is on overheating.

Can I split my Dish Network Signal to go to 2 Rooms, without paying Extra?!?

A lady I ran into at work told me that her Satellite Installer gave her 2 Dish Network Satellite Receivers, and she only got the Package that covers only one room (Use with one of the Receivers). She said that the Installer told her how to hook-up the Second Receiver, so that she can get Satellite in another room for free. She told me that she ran a Splitter directly off of the Dish, and ran a Separate Cable off of it, into another Room. She now gets Dish Network in 2 Rooms, eventhough she paying Service for only One Room!!

How is this Possible?!? I have 2 Recievers too, but have only one room Functioning. This has realy got me thinking.....

How exactly do I get the Second Receiver to get all of the Programming I get with the First, without getting Service for the Second Reciever?!? I have 2 MLB's on my Dish, just for your information...

If I take my Dish DVR recordings and put them on a CD can I put them back on to the Dish DVR?

I personally do not know of any programs that will allow you to overcome the encoding that Dishnetwork or the major providers place upon their content.  I am confident that they exist.  The process is violating copyright law and this is vigorously pursued by the FBI.  I have no idea if you would ever be able to re-install on the DVR, but why would you want to?  If you have it on CD, then you can copy it to any DVR - all you would be achieving by putting the content back on the Dishnetwork DVR is violating copyright law multiple times.  I would not endorse your proposed course of action.

Can I move my TV to another room without pulling the DTH set top box line to that room because it will spoil my interior? Is there any such device available in the market?

Yes, but don't’ expect great results. Video Senders send sound and vision wirelessly but as with most wireless systems introduce noise and interference, particularly if an obstacle (like a person) appear between the sender and receiver. There range is poor and the don’t like solid walls.<£50 in the UK. (Strictly speaking they are also illegal as they broadcast TV for which your need but won’t get a licence in the UK)There are better quality ones available but in the UK these are > £150 which due to there design, are not illegal.

Dish Receiver fuzzy screen (picture)?

I have a VIP722K DVR from Dish,it is in my bedroom and the second bedroom gets the signal there too. I wanted to move the DVR to the other side of the room, i tried using a duplexer to connect the in/out and the other side of it to the tv. The main TV is fine since its using a HDMI cable but the other TV is a little fuzzy, its visible but a little fuzzy, not much but it is. what to do?

Dish network remote 2 will not work!!!?

Hi Claudia, I am sorry that you are having a problem with your TV2 DISH remote. The TV2 remote works using UHF (Ultra High Frequencies) which is what allows it to control the receiver in another room. What you are experiencing is UHF interference. The little remote antenna on the back of the receiver is being interfered with by UHF signal for the TV and possibly other electronics surrounding the receiver. Unplugging the receiver for 10 seconds will give you a temporary relief but to resolve the issue, it is best to extend out the antenna using a few feet of coax cable and a barrel connector. Then just move the antenna closer to whatever direction TV2 is from the receiver (See attached link). Each component can be purchased at any local electronics store for a few dollars. This will resolve the issue completely.
