Can someone travel on another passenger's ticket on a train in India?

If it's unreserved ticket then you can.If it's Reserved but you are with family and you can. TTR asks ID of one person who has his name in ticket. In my last family trip , my sisyer couldn't make it as she had college interview. But in place of her my cousin filled in as she is of similar age of her and didn't had any problem. It's a big No , if you are a single reserved ticket passenger

Can my friend travel with my IRCTC ticket carrying my identity proof instead of me?

No this is illegal as per the railway act. Two things,First, The purpose of the ID card is identification. So when he presents the id card the TTE should confirm he is the genuine traveler. As the railway tickets are non non transferable as per the rules, This will be considered illegal and your friend will be charged for forgery.Secondly, Your friend will be considered ticket-less, He will fined for ticket-less traveling and also he has to pay the full fare from the origin to destination station of the train he is traveling. In short he will be in grave trouble if caught, So don’t adventure. Thanks and Happy Journey.

Where do you draw the line between bad parenting and child abuse/neglect?

This sounds like abuse/neglect. Call Child Protective Services NOW! They can determine if he should be removed from the home. If they don't, at least she will be put on notice that someone is watching.
My heart aches for this child. He is lucky to have you caring about and looking out for him.

How can i tell if my friend is a fake wiccan?

She's a sweet girl but as my mom says she's pretty damn lost. She has always tried telling others she practices magick and such but I have come to realize that maybe she doesn't really do it as well as she says she does. She recently read my palm and she was off. She was vague and said the basics. I went to a psychic this past summer and without even talking to and me doing little to no talking she figured me out and i almost cried because she told me a future i assumed was correct. My friend tells me she put a spell on our old friend to get her pregnant because karma was being "too slow" so she sped it up. I freaked out and ever since then ive said nothing to her. I know that she says im a fairy and i dont believe her really. I just am little and have huge eyes....people have that!
She did a reading for me (i asked about that last month) and it was more like a 1/50 chance thing. She shuffled the cards and would just count to see how many where not reversed and that made the answer a "yes". I asked her a question about someone who didnt even exist and she said "yes".........I asked many Y!A answerers how the hell she could get a crown of flames and be a high priestess at 19 and many said she could not be a HP so quickly that it takes years....why would she be lying?

How can i find out if she's fake or not? what are the right things to ask if she's as advanced as she is?

What are some interesting "caught by TTE/TC in Indian Railways" stories?

Hope you will enjoy. This happened when I was traveling from Howrah to Rajahmundry (a town in Andhra). As the trip was unplanned, I had no reserved ticket. Hence, I took one general ticket, went to the concerned platform and boarded the train (in sleeper class). Aftersometime the train started to depart and as usual a TTE came for checking. Nowthis is where the real story begins.Encountering 1st TTETTE: Ticket???ME: Sir, I am having General ticket because it’s suddenly planned.TTE: What should I do?(In Anger)ME: Sir, Please provide me a berth and in return I will pay fine.TTE: Okay, Sit here and I will come again to collect fine.(Took my ticket and wrote seat number and coach)Me with some sigh of relief, shifted to my allotted coach. After sometime the TTE came again.TTE: Is 27 yours??(27 is the berth allotted)ME: Yes Sir(without hesitation)TTE: Okay.I was waiting for him to ask the fine but thank god he didn’t (Don’t know the reason, maybe his memory is not that good or maybe he thinks that I am the original berth holder.)MISSION NO. 1 ACCOMPLISHED.After some odd hours the train crossed West Bengal and entered Orissa. As we all know that whenever the train switches States, the TTEs will also change.Encountering 2nd TTETTE: Ticket??ME: Here It is Sir.TTE: You are traveling in sleeper class with a general ticket. You must pay fine.Me: Sir, I already paid the fine and in return he (1st TTE) allotted me this berth.TTE: Oh, Is It? Then show me the challan???ME: Sir, He (1st TTE) told me to pay a fine of 900/- with challan and also gave me another option of paying 500/- without challan. Sir, like everybody I went on choosing later one. Hence, I have no challan with me.(with some innocence and presence of mind).TTE:Pcchhh…Because of these corrupt people our India is still a developing country. Okay, You sit down. (Went away scolding the 1st TTE)MISSION NO. 2 ACCOMPLISHED.After some more odd hours the train has entered Andhra Pradesh.Encountering 3rd TTECrtl C & Ctrl V of the previous encounter.AND FINALLY REACHED MY DESTINATION WITHOUT PAYING ANY KIND OF FINE.Thank You.

SCIENTOLOGY? WHY DO YOU HAVE TO PAY SO MUCH MONEY FOR IT!!?

Scientology is very much like multi-level marketing in that they have up-line associates (OT's) Operating Thetans who have different levels 1 thru 8 and they are much like upper echelon administrative directors of the down-line associates who perform menial tasks for free or next to nothing in wages, these OT's also keep (CoS) Church of Scientology big $$ accounts constantly paying for higher levels for hundreds of thousands of $$.
Up-line are constantly searching for celebrities and Forbes-types to be recruited in order to make their so-called "religion" have some legitimacy.

There is no real reason to charge such egregious fees only in order to supplement their relentlessly ravenous hunger for more properties, media & political power & control.
This cult has done much harm to people simply searching for a positive world and end up being financially drained, dominated and controlled like a serf in the potato fields working tirelessly for a greedy landowner. .
