Can I Pierce My Own Eyebrow

Can you pierce your own eyebrow?

You really run a big chance of infection, and it leaving a gnarly scar.
Never pierce anything with a safety pin.

If you really want it done, I personally would say wait because you may change your mind.
But in any event...
On Ebay they sell piercing kits that come with hollow needles and clamps and whatnot. I would suggest having someone help you.
First by marking the spot you want it with pen, make sure thats wear you want it. Make sure everything is sterile. Swipe the needle in vasoline so it slides right through.
Then clamp it, you can hold a little cork on the other side to take the force of the needle, 1..2...3...push the hollow needle through, put the jewelry in by using the needle as a guide. Pull off the clamp, thats it.

Clean it with anti-bacterial soap and don't fiddle with it.

I would really suggest you get it done professionally though, you can run the risk of doing it crooked...so be careful.

How to pierce your eyebrow?

Alright, I'm 16 too and don't fully understand the significance of getting piercings done professionally. lol.
But a couple years ago I wanted my eyebrow pierced too, so I did it.
I took a safety pin and pierced it. It wasn't properly gauged or anything so I'd advise you go out and get a hollowneedle. They don't hurt. Not nearly as bad as the safety pin. Do that and if you can do it yourself. stick the hollowneedle through, but don't hit the vein. MAKE EXTRA SURE NOT TO HIS THE VEIN. It can paralize the whole side of your face. then make sure you make the whole long enough for the piercing. make sure you do it striaght, or you'll have a hard time getting the ring through the hole.
Good luck. :)

How do I pierce my eyebrow? (jewelry length to accomodate for swelling, amount of skin to clamp, placement, etc.)

The answer is: you don't pierce your or anyone else's eyebrow yourself. I hate to be the buzz kill around here, but if anyone tells you how to pierce yourself they doing you a grave disservice.Piercing may look easy, but it takes a lot of training. Piercers must serve an apprenticeship and study important things like how to limit the spread of bloodborne pathogens like HIV and Hepatitis C. They must know how to sterilise equipment in an autoclave and advise clients on keeping piercings clean. They also must know how to do every kind of piercing, from the ears to the navel to the frenulem. This is their career, and it took them a lot of time to learn everything. This is why all of us with piercings go to the piercer instead of wielding a sewing needle and an apple ourselves.By trying to pierce yourself without any training, you could seriously hurt yourself. You could tear your skin, get tetanus, or end up with an infected piercing (soaking a needle in alcohol does not sterilise it). You also don't have the right equipment. You need specific piercing needles, clamps, and the right size jewellery. Even if someone wanted to tell you how to pierce your eyebrow, it'd be hard to explain in text.I highly recommend you seek out a licensed piercer and get it done the safe way. The internet is filled with stories about botched and infected piercings. Taking the time and money to get a proper piercing is so worth it. It will turn out much better for you. If you were thinking of piercing someone else, it could save you a court date or lawsuit should something go wrong.

Is there any risk to piercing your eyebrow?

I used to have few body piercings, body and face. The only real risk for brow piercing is the risk of infection if not cleaned regularly and also your body treating the piercing as a foreign body causing it to be rejected and pushed out of the brow. Within a year or two your skin will become fine and removal of the piercing is inevitable. The downside to the piercing is the scaring of the brow. Many years later I'm still sporting a scar. Piercings are beautiful to look at but keep in mind, can you live with the disadvantages when it's gone.

What are the dangers of an eyebrow piercing?

A lot can go wrong with a piercing that isn’t done by a well-rated professional, and even if they are reputable, a piercing can still become infected if it isn’t taken care of properly. Other than those risks, most people don’t have any issues with their eyebrow piercings.Keep in mind that for the majority of people, a surface piercing like an eyebrow will eventually reject and leave a scar. If you aren’t prepared for that or want something permanent, I’d go for a different type of piercing!

Can you pierce your eyebrow yourself?

You need a thick tapestry or leather needle. Your skin is like leather, they're not as easily poked like fabric. ;) It could take a long time to do on your own, and could get infected.

Does it hurt? Does getting a paper cut hurt?

I wouldn't suggest it.

Eyebrow piercing and plucking?

Okay,Getting an eyebrow piercing soon..and I know I won't be plucking them for a while after i get it done.. but I'd like to know how long I have to wait til i can get them plucked because I really don't want to let my eyebrows go for very long. Any help would be really great, thanks.

Can you pierce your eyebrow with a ear piercing gun?

No, you can't, and doing so would return highly unfavorable results.

Piercing guns are horrible, cannot be sterilized, and are not even suitable for ear lobe piercings (that's why they're illegal in some states).

Go to a professional piercer who uses sterile tri-beveled hollow piercing needles.
