How to play ipod on computer speakers (without itunes)?

You need to change it so the input from the microphone socket is being rebroadcast through your laptop's speakers. This is called monitoring. Generally this is muted by default. If you are using Windows 7 search "Sound" in the start menu (without the quotes) there should be a result, under Control Panel heading that has a little grey speaker icon next to it. Click this. This will bring up the Sound configuration panel for your sound hardware. On the main tab (should be "Playback") Double click on the item in the list with a large green tick on the icon. This will usually be entitled something like "Speakers". Then select the tab that is called "Levels" there should be a slider under a heading "Microphone". Slide the slider (by clicking and dragging it) to the far right. Then next to the slider and a box which should say "100", to the right, there should be a button with a speaker icon it. If the speaker has a red 'no entry' logo next to it click the button. This will unmute it and allow you to monitor the microphone input which in this case is your iPod's output. Make sure your iPod volume is on full, your PC volume is up and enjoy your music! There are similar solutions online for other versions of windows. Although it is always pretty similar so you should be able to follow the instructions I gave anyway. Just look for the "Sound" setting in your control panel. Hope that helps!

How does one copy music that is playing through computer speakers?

Assuming you have Windows 10 (I think you can do the same with 7 and 8), you already have what you need, though there may be better tools available.Follow these steps.1. In the bottom right, find the speaker icon and right click. Choose "Recording devices."2. If your computer is like mine, you just see a microphone there. Right click in the white space and choose "Show disabled devices"3. You should see "Stereo Mix." Enable it and set it as the default recording device.4. Open up some sound recording software. Sound Recorder comes standard on Windows 10, though you can probably get better software elsewhere.5. Start recording then play your sound. It will record just the output without any extraneous noise. It probably goes without saying, but be wary of copyright violations. Otherwise, enjoy!

Hearing a radio through computer speakers?

I too am hearing the raido through my speakers. Below the shelf that houses my monitor, is where both my speakers rest. What seems to work for me, is to place the speakers far from each other and the monitor. Im not sure why this seem to work but i think its just electronic interferance. You chould use higher quality speakers, keep your speakers off when not in use or try to keep them away from electronics, about 2 feet for me. Whether you have a raido playing or not, the stations are always broadcasting. so your speakers must be picking up one of the frequencies of a station.

How is music generated through speakers and how does it form in a computer?

you have an intelligent queston as opposed to ("will this run skyrim at 99FPS like I care) so lets give it the respect it deserves. And this separates the people who know what there talking about as opposed to the copy other peoples answers and Google cut and pasteyou ask as Engineers.

Those are two separarte questions and are slightly out of scope for this forum. I will do them in reverse of what you ask as it makes more sense expecially if you look at a block diagram.

The sound will start depending on the source so one exa[le mp3 which is a compressed sound format (there are many more but they all work using about the same principle. It employs a technique called phycoacoustic masking.

What that means in English is if you have 2 sounds one higher than the other (inDB) the higher one gets on the recording because you wont hear the other one anyway AT THE SAME FREQUENCY (in Hertz HZ)

Subjectively this degrades the sound but most people accept this; it will be processed in the sound card fed to a preamp IC integrated circuit nowadays and amp[lified and fed to the loudspeakers. The voice coil of the Speaker will move backwards and forwards with respect to the signal.

The out put is actually alternating voltage which you may remember if passed through a coil will cause it to resonate at that particular frequency - in terms of physics we are converting eletrical energy to Kinetic energy ergo sound waves these are picked up by your ear and your eardrum resonates at that frequency so you hear the sound.

Typically though there is at least 10% distortion of the original Waveform but noise reduction is used one type is negative feedback in the amplifier design.

When I play music through a speaker, does my dog think the music coming from me?

No, it might understand that you’re the one who makes the sounds start and stop when you feel like it, but dogs have excellent hearing localization capabilities, and should immediately recognize that the sound is coming from that piece of furniture (two for stereo), the ones that always makes noise after you’ve gone over and fiddled around with it. It knows (or should) that that’s not you.Now if you start singing along with the music, your dog will know that’s you who so badly needs autotune, and can’t be faulted for howling along.

Can a Audio-Technica AT-LP60 Turntable use computer speakers?

My record player just broke and it had built in speakers, so I never had a reason to buy any speakers for my record player. I'm looking at buying the Audio-Technica AT-LP60 turntable (http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B002GYTPAE/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB) since it is pretty good quality and not too expensive. The turntable has a preamp in it, so I was wondering if my Logitech Z130 computer speakers would work with this turntable as a substitute until I can afford a nice sound system. Thanks.
