Which versions of The Sims 2 play on Windows 10?

You will get trouble during updating, wich will keep you from installing a lot of the expansions. One possible workaround : Installed the sims 2 onto another computer/laptop with windows 7 Go to My Computer - Data. In this folder is another folder called EA Games. Put this entire folder onto a USB stick On your windows 8 laptop put the 'EA Games' folder into the Data folder. Then install the sims 2 onto the windows 8 laptop. Once installed, right click on the icon on the desktop page -> go to properties -> compatibility -> compatibility mode -> select Windows XP (Service Pack 3). Right click on the icon again and click Run as Administrator.
The Sims 2 keeps crashing on windows 7?
I just finished installing all my Sims 2 games on my new laptop. My laptop has enough ram and everything. I can even play the Sims 3 on medium settings. I start playing for like 2 minutes then I get a message saying that it crashed and needs to be terminated. I have a lot of custom content install as well as hacks, but it played perfectly on my old computer. Do I have to reinstall everything or does the Sims 2 not work on windows 7. Also the little time I do play it has a lot of glitches. BTW my laptop is a HP Pavilion DV6-2155dx.
Does The Sims 4 run smoothly on Windows 10?
Depending on the specific spec options you have on your surface, I think generally the Sims 4 will run fine. Compared to the massive cpu processing required by TS2 and TS3, TS4 is very smooth.Definitely check your graphics card, ram, and processor speed before making your decision though. Those things, not the operating system, will be your deciding factor.I don’t think you’ll have the greatest experience on a Surface, only because I personally find the use of a comfortable keyboard vital for Sims gameplay.
Sims 2 Ultimate Collection on Windows 8?
Hi, I just got The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection a few days ago but whenever I try to play it, it crashes. Any time I try to enter a house or go into create-a-sim. I have already tried running it in compatibility mode and it is no better. I used to be able to run Sims 2 double deluxe for a bit then it would crash but UC crashes almost immediately. How can I fix?! Will upgrading to windows 8.1 help in any way at all?

I keep getting this error message every time I try to play the sims 2 bon voyage, free time, or apartment life. They used to work on my computer, and then all of a sudden I started getting this error. So I uninstalled all of the sims 2 stuff, re-installed it, and it still didn't work. Then, we unistalled in all again, and re-installed them all, opening the game in between installations. Everything works fine until I try to play after installing bon voyage, then I get "The sims 2 ep 6 has stopped working, windows is checking for a solution to the problem". I have windows vista, but like I said, all the expansion packs used to work fine! Has anyone else been having/ had this problem?
Playing The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection in Windowed Mode through Origin?
I recently downloaded the game off of Origin and I have absolutely no clue how to get it on windowed mode. I play it on a Windows 8 laptop and it works great. I just want it onto windowed mode because I tend to multitask on my computer. I found no option to add an icon to my desktop, or to change it through Origin itself. Does anybody else have a solution to this? Thank you in advanced.

No, sorry. Hopefully you didn't buy Nightlife, as unless you have a Mac, you can now only buy The Sims 2 Deluxe or The Sims 2 Double Deluxe which both come with Nightlife already. But no, you'll have to buy one of the games that comes with the base game to be able to play the expansion pack you bought.
What is the best laptop to buy to play the sims 2?
Even though I just bought a new laptop I guess the stupid thing won't play it for some reason. Could be because of windows 8, I really don't know. So what is a good laptop or notebook to buy to play it on? Yes I have Sims 3 and 4 but I like the Sims2 the most. Thanks.

The Macbook has its quirks though. TS4 runs smoothly and is a great experience on mac and it officially has a Mac version. For the rest of the games I'm not sure. It works with a Windows VM or Dual Boot too.If you're on a budget there's always the Lenovo Thinkpad or an older Asus/Lenovo laptop.If you go with a budget option you probably have to turn settings down a little even in TS4 and significantly in TS3.Most laptops can run any Sims game just fine on medium-low settings. Most laptops that I mentioned should run it well. A better i3 or an average i5 and a GTX 650+ could run it on high settings possibly.
