Can I Put Fake Tapers In Right After Getting My Ears Pierced

Can i put fake gauges right after piercing my ear?

Go to a professional for it to go smoothly. A professional is not someone who uses a gun either.
You need the correct material for fresh/healing piercings and I am sure the fake plugs are not the correct material.

Does getting your ears pierced hurt?

I just got my ears pierced. The lady was laughing at me because I didnt flinch and she was so relieved that I wasnt a whiner. It hurt for like 1 second and then it is a teensy bit sore afterwards, but its fine.

Can I get my ears pierced the first time with fake plugs (fake gauges)?

You could get real gauges put in with a dermal punch but uhh not fake ones. :/
Obviously it's possible but many places won't do it as the mass of plastic smothers the piercing. Large jewellery makes the piercing so hard to clean and dry, which are necessary to prevent infection. Only way you could clean em would be to take them out, and putting them back in would force bacteria into the hole. Sooo yeah, not likely. lol.

Edit; You can try what Nikohl said but make sure to soak in the bath or spray with the shower before cleaning to make it easier on yourself.
Still not really something I'd personally do, but it seems that'd be your only option if you refuse the studs.

Earring size help? Guy getting ears pierced for first time. Help? [:?

You will nave to purchase piercing studs wherever you get your ears pierced. These are stud earrings with a sharp point on the ends of the posts so they will go through your ears. You have to buy them wherever you get your ears pierced so they can be sure the studs will work in their piercing gun. Most places include the piercing in the cost of the studs. The price will depend on the studs you choose and the general cost of living in your area. Generally speaking, the studs will cost anywhere from US$20 to US$50 including the piercing. The holes pierced in your ears will be so small that they are measured in gauge, not mm, and are generally all the same size, about 18 gauge. You will then have to wear the piercing studs all the time for 6 weeks while your ears heal. After your ears have healed you can wear any earrings you want. The posts on all normal earrings are the same size as the holes in your ears will be, so that is not a problem. When you see earrings advertised in mm, they are talking about the size of the front of the earring that everyone will see, not the part that goes through your ears. If you want to wear fake tapers you should not have any problem with the posts on them fitting through your ears.

Can i get my ears pierced with a stretcher?

Yeah, go for it. It is cool when you put holes in your ears so big you can wear a bike lock chain from one ear to the other. You'll be the envy of all your friends.

Tattoos on your forehead are cool too. They help you land great jobs in the future.

Do faux tapers stretch your ears?

They may be slightly thicker than what you currently have-often times the fake ones are around 16g, though those say 18g. If you currently wear just standard size earrings, you're probably at around an 18g, possibly 20g. So even if these are a size or so bigger, yeah, technically it'd be stretching them, but by an extremely tiny amount, like maybe less than a quarter of a mm. It's really no different than if say you got a pair of earrings that had a slightly thicker post than your other ones. But you may already be at the size they are. Either way, it's not going to hurt putting them in, nor will it permanently change their size. As soon as you stop wearing them, the holes would shrink back to whatever size they were. If they seem a little thicker than the posts on most of your earrings, just try putting them in after a hot shower.

Will I need to stretch my ear for this piercing?

Contrary what the pretentious idiot that answered first said, a 'normal' piercing isn't necessarily 1mm or 1.2mm, or it could be-it all depends on what you mean by 'normal', & how exactly you get your ears pierced. 1mm is an 18g, & if you get your ears pierced with a gun, that's the size they'd be. I'm not going to go on & on about guns either;the fact of the matter is the jewelry used is 18g. And often times just 'regular' earrings are in the 18g or 20g range, & by 'regular' I mean if you were to walk into any department store or accessory store & get a pair of fashion earrings, studs, whatever. Now, if you get them done by a body piercer with a needle, they generally do the initial piercing at 14g, which is 1.6mm, but they also do sometimes use 16g, which is 1.2mm. So 'normal' and 'standard' can depend.

But either way, if you were to end up getting pierced w/jewelry that's 18g, or 1mm, the 1.2mm jewelry may or may not just pop right in. 0.2mm is a very small difference in size, & chances are it won't be difficult to get them in. Just take a hot shower before you put them in, that makes your skin more elastic, & put a little lubricant on them & chances are it won't be a problem. But if you get your ears pierced at a body piercer's, chances are you'll already be at least that size if not a teeny bit larger.

And finally, if you want to wear fake tapers, wear them & don't listen to the first person that answered-he's the real tw*t because obviously lives his live in fear of what others will think. LOL,don't you just love that, when you have these people that are the type that are like, "I don't care what anyone thinks' & think they're all 'different', yet they do everything according to trying to appear 'cool'.Or they're all like, 'don't judge me, wah, wah, wah', yet they're the most judgemental of all. And yeah, tapers aren't meant to be worn as jewelry because it's bad for your ears, but these aren't real tapers, so there goes that theory. And how does he know that you're not planing to do it for real & just want to test drive the look before you actually do it. But whatever the reasons are, if that's what you like, go for it. I have my ears stretched, but I don't get all bent out of shape when people wear fake ones, that's their business.

Would these fake gauges fit in a normal piercing?

I have a normal size piercing. I have never stretched my ear lobes or anything, and I was thinking of getting fake gauges to have the appearance of stretched ears. My parents won't let me stretch, and I am not going to, but I still like the look. I found these fake plugs, and I want to get them, but the bar in the middle looks pretty large. Would these earrings fit in a regular, non-stretched hole?(link to the earrings is below.) It says on the website the bar is 16g and it states that is the size of a "normal piercing", but I thought that a regular piercing was 20g-18g. Thanks in advance.

How can I keep plugs from falling out of my stretched earlobe piercings?

Thanks for the A2A. I don't have stretched ears myself, but I do know a decent amount about them. I have 21 piercings and being “alternative,” I've been around folx with stretched lobes. So take my advice, but remember that I'm not as expert as a piercer would be.It sounds like your lobes may have naturally stretched to a larger size. This can happen with weighty plugs, or your lobe can just stretch from taking your plugs in and out. It can even happen without fiddling by the lobe owner. You might want to try to go up a size and see if that fits more sungly. Just remember not to stretch your tunnel further than it wants to go. If the plug doesn't want to go in, don't force it it! You don't want to tear anything. If your ear hasn't stretched to a larger size, or at least, it hasn't stretch enough to fit the next size, you can try different jewellery. Smooth jewellery, like plastic, is more prone to slipping out. If you haven't already, try switching to a natural material, like wood or bone. Their texture helps the jewellery grip to the skin.Lastly, I assume you're using plugs that are flared or use O-rings, but if you're not, you should switch to this kind of jewellery. This is stretching 101, but there are piercers and pierce-ees who don't pass this info along. If you aren't wearing this kind of jewellery, switch. Plugs with O-rings are nice because the rings go on after you put the jewellery in. With flared plugs, you have to stretch your ear over the flared end. Check out this link: The different types of ear plugs and tunnelsIf you've tried all this and are still having trouble, contact your piercer. They should be more than happy to take a look. When you get a piercing by a licensed piercer, it's assumed you can go back to them for help. If you don't have a piercer, you can contact one near you. I recommend checking reviews online before calling. You may need to go into the shop to have your ears looked at. If you go in to be looked at, they probably won't charge you, but you should tip them at least $5 (more if they're working with you longer than 20 minutes).I hope this was helpful. Good luck!
