Can I Raise My Grade In Time

How to raise your grades in a week?

I'm in the same situation but maybe worse. I have 2 F's. I have a 25% in Math and Spanish. We have 5 more weeks of school. Here's what I suggest. Commit. I've been slacking in math for a while, not doing homework, not doing well on tests. I've finally woken up and realized that if I don't try my BEST and try to get A's and not C's then I will have to retake the class. You aren't trying if you're aiming for a C. That's pathetic. I understand that you don't want to sit there for hours on end at a desk with a pencil and paper and you don't really have to. Most state laws limit the amount of homework each night to less that 2 1/2 hours. Personally, I slack off by sitting at my computer instead of doing homework. What I've realized is that I don't NEED to be on Facebook for 4 hours a day. If you're serious about getting your grades back up, sit at your desk for 30 minutes at a time in your room with no distractions, no ipods, no tvs, or computers. Do nothing but homework. Every 30 minutes take a 5 minute break. DO NOT watch Tv. Most shows are an hour long and you will be sucked into it. And don't say you have a life outside of school. Everyone has friends. You need to figure out what comes first, your friends, or your education. I play lacrosse and football. If I have a big project coming up, I talk to my coach and say that I need to work on it. Tell you friends to f*ck off and let you do your work. Last year I snapped my phone in half during the 3rd quarter because I was tired of not getting the grades I wanted because of my friends. It's your choice, you can't blame your teachers or your parents. Sit down, work hard, and it will pay off.

Oh yeah, when you come home, have something to drink and start your work within a half hour of getting home from class. Hope you pass your classes.

How should I ask my teacher to raise my grade?

Ok, my math grade right now is a 67 and the 1st semester is over. It ended 4 days ago. I asked my teacher yesterday if she could somehow raise my grade, and she said no in essence. Then today I found some of the papers that I needed to turn in and I am wondering if I should ask my teacher again can she raise my grade and give her the papers. How should I ask her again?

Is it possible to raise your grade from an A to B in 3 weeks?

As others are suggesting, I think you mean can you raise your “B” grade to an “A” grade in three weeks. Possibly, but not without a lot of work on your part. Are you an American student in high school or college? If high school, you’ll have to talk to your instructor and find out what s/he needs from you to award the higher grade. If you’re in college, you’ll need to take a closer look at the course syllabus for your class. What’s the grading scale? That is, what is the range of points your instructor has assigned for each earned letter grade? “A” grades typically, but not exclusively, run from 90 points to 100 points. “B” grades usually run from 80 points to 89 points. The scale can be more restrictive, for example some instructors set the bar higher to earn an “A” and you might need more than 90 points to earn one. If you school has the option of “+” and “-” grades, where do those fall on the grading scale? How many assignments are required for the course? How many points are associated with each assignment? How many tests/quizzes are required and how many points are associated with each of those? Is there any option for extra credit points (for example, for attendance and/or for extra participation), and are you able to take advantage of those?Let’s say you currently have 82 points, a low “B.” Does the work you have remaining in your last three weeks have the potential to award you enough points to raise you to the “A” level? What about to a “B+” or an “A-” and would those grades help?If you have a final paper which is worth one-quarter to one-third of your final grade, and/or your final exam is worth that much, and you’re able to maximize the number of points you can receive, you might have a shot at raising your final grade to an “A.” If you’ve maximized any extra credit you’re eligible for, so much the better. There’s one other possibility, and that would be requesting an Incomplete grade for the course, to allow you more than the remaining three weeks to finish the requirements for the class. You might still have to take the final with the rest of the class, but could have more time to work on any final paper that’s required.Ultimately, you need to talk to your instructor. We can speculate but your instructor knows exactly what you need and whether or not what you need is still possible.Good luck.

Will my teacher raise my grade?

I have never got a D before but right now my grade is at 69.18 and tommorow is the last day for grades, my parents will kill me if i get a D, if I bring all the homework i missed this quarter finished and ask her kindly will my teacher raise my grade? ( she doesnt hate me nor like me)

How can I convince my teacher to raise my grade?

I was in a similar situation in my senior year. I had an 89% but I needed >89.5% in order to not take the final (this was a rule my high school had for seniors in their second semester, and 89.5 or higher was seen as an A- and not a B+).I knew this was my last grade in this class, nothing else left to bump it. My teacher was super chill, the teacher everyone loves because he's a great teacher and his classes lean on the easier side. Knowing I needed to speak with him, I decided to do it after class (because my class was at the end of the day).I sheepishly walked up to him and asked if I could talk to him about my grade. I told him I would really appreciate having him bump my grade since it was only .5% so I could get out of taking his final test. I was a great student, always did my work and when we had free time in class, I would use that time to work on other homework (which my teacher noticed and started to ask what I was working on).His reply? “Don't worry about it Jessica, I got you. You won't have to take my final.”I thanked him profusely, knowing not all teachers do this (even teachers who have seniors in class. My science teacher wouldn't bump you unless you were 1% away and had proven yourself all year). He's still one of my favorite teachers. And when it was finals week, I gave him a couple homemade brownies I made and wished him the best of luck since he was going to be a dad soon.So what should you do?Be very nice, have reasons for why you think you should have your grade bumped, show you appreciate that teacher for doing something like bumping your grade, accept they may not bump your grade (and still be civil if they do not), and get/make them something nice to really hammer in your appreciation (cookies and brownies were things teachers at my high school liked). Good luck!
