Can I Report My 2 Neighbors For Breaking Ordinance

How can I report my neighbor for having too many dogs?

Call and complain about the barking as needed. Maybe your neighbor will then either keep the dogs indoors, and quiet, or get bark collars (or something) for all of them. If it's the barking that is what is truly bothering you, your calls about the noise should eventually get results. Don't quit after one call.

Im in a band and my neighbors keep calling the cops. i cant find nething in ohio about noise ordinance,?

Most places do have noise violation by-laws. Your best bet would be to go to city hall, on a day you haven't been hassled about it, and ask them if they have any specific information on it, and if not, where to go to get some.

What can I do about neighbors riding dirt bikes on their yard?

We moved into an otherwise very quiet neighborhood about 6 months ago only to realize that our next door neighbors love to ride several dirt bikes at a time in circles in their back yard. They don't even have mufflers, so the noise is very loud and shrill. We can hear it in all areas of our house, too. Last night my husband told them that they were being disrespectful and asked them to stop & they said they would give him a ten minute break, then they were going to start them back up again. So, obviously talking to them isn't going to help, they just kept right on going after "our ten minute break".

I don't care what people do on their property, and we are not trying to be nosy neighbors by all means. Still, it is impossible to ignore and besides dealing with the noise for hours on and off, when it is dry outside they create a huge dust cloud that travels onto our property. When it is very rainy, their mud flows like a waterfall and puddles in our yard.

What can I do about these disrespectful and annoying neighbors?

What can I do about my neighbor violating noise ordinance laws.?

Where I live in Erie, Pennsylvania the; the noise ordinance laws specify that;

(n) Operating, playing or permitting the operation or playing of any radio, television,
phonograph, drum, musical instrument, sound amplifier, automobile radio,
automobile stereo or high fidelity equipment or similar device which produces,
reproduces or amplifies sound:

(1) At any time of the day in such a manner from any source as to create a
noise disturbance across a real property boundary; or
(2) In such a manner as to create a noise disturbance across any real property
boundary when operated in or on a motor vehicle on a public right-of-way
or public space; or
(3) In such a manner as to create a noise disturbance to any person other than
the operator of the device, when operated by any passenger on a common
carrier; or
(4) At such a sound intensity that the sound is audible from a distance of fifty
feet in any public area, street or sidewalk of the City; when the sound
source is in any public area, street or sidewalk of the City.

(Ord. 20-1994 ยง 1. Passed 3-16-94.)

A) I live across the street so my residence is easily 50 feet from the point from which the music is being projected.
B) He will play the music multiple times during the day

I approached my neighbor earlier and informed him that his music was so loud that it had effectively drowned out any noises coming from my television, that he has many times played his music during some of the hours I had previously tried sleeping, and that he was obviously not the only occupant of the neighborhood. After which, he starting getting belligerent with me, told me that I was trespassing on private property, and that he would call the cops.

I have often tried to take the proper course of action to rectify this situation (i.e. calling the police), but to avail. I'm starting to get sick and tired of it as it seems he is cautious enough to consistently turn his car stereo down. In candor I do not know what to do, I have tried to remedy the situation via all legitimate venues, and the neighbors seem to be too afraid to even care that he is doing it. It would be very much appreciated if anyone could provide me with an easy way to remedy this issue at hand.

Sincerely,

Jon

My neighbors keep calling the police on me and falsely accusing me of criminal acts. I am afraid to go outside of my house. What do I do?

I have a neighbor that is fixated on my husband. She seemed a little off, but once she found out about his time in prison she developed a full blown obsession. She wrote the association board for our community a complaint about him slamming doors and watching her when she was outside. This was nonsense but they still had to address it with us. She wrote subsequent letters to the board stating he has a key to her car, and gains entry to turn on her radio...that he lets air out of her tires...that he's getting in her home and releasing ants...and he's poisoning the food in her refrigerator. We'd see police at her door, but they never stopped by to talk to us. One day last fall, my husband was riding his bike. This neighbor pulled her car in front of him and slammed on her brakes, causing him to fall off his bike. Her behavior was now endangering him so we went to the police to file a report. The police were helpful, and knew our neighbor well. Apparently she'd filed lots of police reports about my husband and a few other men from the neighborhood. The police recognized she has mental health issues and never pursued her later complaints. So what can you do? Try to have your cell phone ready to record if you think your neighbor will confront you. Keep a cool head, there's nothing wrong with not engaging in an argument. Don't be afraid to talk to the police to see what your options are if you're being harassed. You don't want to end up on the wrong side of this problem.UPDATE: my local police department reached out to the neighbour's daughter, the daughter called my husband to apologize and let him know she will be intervening in a medically supervised care program for her mother. She made sure he has her contact info should we have any problems. I give her all the credit in the world, she was wonderful and it's great that she wants to be involved in her care! Here's hoping my neighbor gets back on track.

How do I report a neighbor who doesn't cut his grass?

He runs every morning. Don't you think I would have considered these things before I posted this question? He doesn't even set foot in his backyard, like it doesn't exist. Keep in my mind we live in a town house where the yard is not very big.

How can I get rid of a neighbor's wind chime?

I have tried to speak with the neighbors (very unmannerly), contacted the city (was sent with a response that it is their right), and now I am left with hopelessness because the noise is just intolerable. We cannot move because we just bought the property. Any help on who to contact or what to do?
