Can I Return Something I Bought From Home Shopping Network

ACCIDENTALLY BOUGHT SOMETHING ONLINE?

What website or online store is it from? Did you (or your parents) signed on with a previously created user name and password while logging on to that seller's website?

eBay keeps your banking and credit card data on file, and so do most other major online retailers once you create an account with them (such as Amazon.com, Tiger Direct, QVC and Home Shopping Network, Newegg, etc)
Check your bank / credit card statement to see if the purchase amount has been deducted.
Unless that seller ship COD (Collect On Delivery), they will not send the stuff to you until it's paid for.
As far as I know, no US seller will do COD anymore, other countries however will.

What is the positive and negative impact of online shopping?

Base on my experience the positive is…you can buy stuff that not available at your local stores.A variety of choice to choose. Some online shops offer cheaper price.Easy, buy stuff only in a few click on your pc or smartphones, it convenient for people that always busy.Save time, money, energy, well you dont have to spent money on fuel or pay for the bus fare.Negative:Addictive, you might spent more money and buying stuff that not neccessary( i have seen a lot of ridiculous item for sale online), it another story if you are rich people.Your item/parcel get stolen or lost( happened to me many times and i got no refund).Item might be different from what you see on the online shops (this one is so annoying )Problem with the qualityThe shipping is too long, i used to buy stuff on aliexpress and sometimes it took 2 month for the item to arrive, but it was free shipping.Scam, i get scam a few times on ebay but im able to get back my money from paypal resolution center.Well theres a lot more but i can’t write all of it , its 1.50am now i should go to sleep, bye.

Are the jewellery shopping channels on TV a scam or not?

Excellent question and it hits the ‘broader’ issue in why jewellery consumers feel like they got scammed when making a purchase as they have not done their ‘research’ or due diligence before buying. They just don’t understand what they are getting. All gemstones or diamonds value is based on 4Cs (plus 2 more criteria for gemstones - treatment & origin). The criteria are:Carat Weight - Bigger the more expensiveColor - most important factor for color gemstones.Clarity Grade - the cleaner the more expensiveCut Grade - For ‘white’ diamonds this is the most important factor. If certificate grades below very good, which is what most TV channels sell there jewelry you will get a much cheaper diamond. These diamonds will have ‘less’ sparkle & fire.[Gemstones] Treatment - Actually equal or more important to color. Gemstones are subject to a lot different treatments like heat, chemically-diffused, wax, oil, clarity enhancement fissures, radiation, glass-lead filling, etc., The more treatment the gemstone is gone through the cheaper it will get. A 4 carat ‘glass-filled’ or composite ruby is worth around US$30 for a stone, while a natural stone will worth 1,000 times more. This is where the jewellery channels ‘use’ their creative language to ‘scam’ the consumer in believing they are getting an amazing deal! So, before making the purchase do read or check the ‘treatment’ section carefully! I can guarantee they will have some color or clarity enhancement treatment.[Gemstones] Origin - Where the gemstone is located also affects the value. Certain mines are more expensive as they are more popular than others. Example, Rubies - Burma (Myanmar), Sapphires - Sri Lanka (Kashmir is more premium but almost impossible to find), Emeralds - ColombianFinally the metals they use to set the jewelry are usually ‘plated gold’ which means silver jewelry plated with ‘thin layer of gold.’ This again has very minimal value. If you getting a great price for your jewellery purchase from these channels, you will most probably be sacrificing one of the above criteria. The best way to check what you getting is if they provide you ‘reliable’ third party certificate that states the quality of the diamond or gemstone. So, I don’t blame the TV channel as much as the consumer as they are just ‘too lazy’ in checking what they are getting. The TV channel is just meeting their demand.
