Can I Return To The Uk 5 Days Before My Visa Expires

Is it ok to enter the country a few days before my Visa expires?

I would find out about renewing. As long as it has not expired you probably would not have an issue. Once it expires though you will join the ranks of the many illegal immigrant currently in that boat. That visa is like gold in the US. Good Luck!

My visa expires 1 day before my plane ticket, so can I still leave China?

You need to check what your Visa says.

Follow me here...

I have a 12 month MULTIPLE entry Visa. I can stay in China for up to 90 days in a row. On or before 90 days I have to exit China. Since my Visa is a Multiple Entry I can come and go in and out of China as much as I please. BUT I can't stay in China for more than 90 days at one time.

If I stay for for 91 days I may be fined. I did this one time and was only given a warning. I was lucky. The fine would have been 500RMB.

Now... my VISA is 12 months. So... let's say I got my Visa on JAN 1 2010. And it expires on December 31st. 2010. My Visa clearly reads I MUST enter China before Dec 31st. 2010. So.... I EXIT China on Dec 30th 2010 and then re-enter China the same day. REMEMBER I have 90 days each time I enter China. I now have 3 months/90 days still left in China. So in reality my Visa is 15 months worth.

The reason I tell you this is you need to look at your VISA and see if you Exit China on Jan 11 do you have 30 days still left?

Also does you flight leave out of Hong Kong? If so you can just get to the airport a day earlier.

How long can I stay in the uk after my visa expires?

If I remember correctly, if you overstay for less than 30 days, no penalty will occur. If it's more, then they may keep you from returning to the UK for several years (depending on how long you overstay and whether you leaving willingly or not). If possible, it's best not to overstay your visit. You don't want to get into immigration problems. Depending where you're from, it might be best to leave before your visa expires and then return as a "tourist". They will, however, question you very heavily when you return, making sure you're not planning on staying indefinitely.
You can always request to extend your visa, in which case you have to stay until that is sorted out but you might have to leave immediately if your request is not granted.
By another passport, do you mean a new one, that you're a dual citizen, or you're thinking of using a different person's? If it's the latter, that's very risky and would not recommend it. Dual citizenship depends on what countries you're from. If you're getting a new passport, then you'd be best to check if that automatically puts you as a tourist. As a tourist, you can stay for up to six months but you cannot work.

Hope it helps.

How many months before my visa expires can I travel to the UK?

You can travel any time you like during the period the visa is valid for. However, you were asked when you applied for the visa to state the purpose of your visit and the planned dates of travel. You will likely be asked the same question again at the border. Chances are, even if you have a visa and say you are planning to stay for longer than, let’s say a month, questions will be raised and you may be denied entry on arrival. The reason for this is that most people have a certain number of vacation days and if they plan to stay for thee months, then there’s a suspicion that they may try and work in the UK illegally in order to support themselves. In other words, if you plan to stay longer than a month, let’s say with family or you simply can afford it, it’s better if you book a return flight and plan not to stay for longer than a few weeks. If you then decide you really want to stay longer, you can change your flight dates. You must not work in the UK and you must leave before your visa expires. In case you state you planned to stay for a couple of weeks, but stay for 6 months instead, be prepared to answer some questions about that on your next visa application, as they will not like that. However, as long as you don’t overstay illegally and do not work, use NHS and similar and can show clearly that you can afford it, you may or may not be OK.As a rule, you must have return flight tickets as not having them is extremely suspicious, cause let’s say even if you have no plans to overstay, what happens if you end up losing money and not having enough to buy a return ticket?

What happens if my visa expire while im still in that country ?

Depends what kind of visa, what country you are in.
When you entered the country, immigration officers gave you a permanency of xxxxx days or months. So even if your visa expired while you are in the country, you're good as long as you are within your permanency. In the US you get normally 6 months for a tourist, one year for a student, you can request extension for 6 more months for the permanency as tourist even if your visa is already expired as long as you ask for it before the first six months permanency expires.
So, let's say your visa will expire tomorrow and you arrive here today, you're ok for 6 months as a tourist(see the date "Admitted until xx/xx/xxxx" in your passport.) before completing the six months you can ask for a extension of 6 more based in traveling needs, say you only been on the east coast and still have plans that cover the west coast or you wanted to ski and the season is 2 more months away, and then you leave normally 1 year later with you visa already expired for 364 days, still within this year you can apply to change your status to a student if you ingress in a qualifying school program and show the means to pay for your stay, you may be allowed to work part time while studding.
Or;
Let's say you have a visa that expires in 10 years, in 2019. When you arrived in the US they gave you six months permanency and then seven months later you are still here, you are out of status, it doesn't matter that you have 9.5 years more in your visa, you could only stay 6 months on this visit.. then you may be deported and have a 10 year ban.
If you are not in the US, or if your visa is a different kind from these two, check the country and/or specific visa laws, they may vary.

How many months before my visa expires can I travel to the US?

Theoretical you can enter to the last day on your visa, but then need to leave immediately after, it is usually recommended to any kind of visa or passport to be valid for than six months and have at least 2 clear pages, however like many here will say, it is up to the Officer at entry point to decide if let you enter on the country and for how long, having a visa does not guaranty enter the country you intended to visit, in your case the USA, I would try to renew the visa before expires. Can I enter the USA before 4 days of my stamping expires?

One must understand that visa does not guarantee entry to the United States. Additionally, the visa expiration date shown on your visa does not reflect how long you are authorized to stay within the United States. Entry and the length of authorized stay within the United States are determined by the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officer at the port-of-entry each time you travel.Your case is complicated, while you are eligible to leave and return US without any issues, the tenure of authorized stay will depend upon what CBP officer grants you.As a thumb rule, CBP officer usually grants stay based on Visa expiry date available in the passport. He/She may ask you to provide I- 797A (approved Notice of Action) for verification but its not always mandatory to request one.Unfortunately, we do not have any say on new dates i.e May-2019 to be printed on your I-94. You may take a chance at PoE. by providing the latest I797A document along passport, and the officer may grant I94 till May-2019, I see only 10% probability (for the reason that many people are in your situation and they avoid travel because of stamping. If DHS allows to get I94 with the latest approved dates just because your H1 is approved, then everyone would leverage this option and hence DHS doesn’t operate this way)My suggestion to you is check if you are eligible for stamping via Dropbox: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-niv-visarenew.asp. There are rumors around that dropbox has been cancelled, I have a team mate who got visa stamped through dropbox on 6/15. This will help you get latest expiry dates on your Visa and have tension free travel. If you don’t qualify and don’t get new dates printed on I94, try to change it upon your arrival by visiting https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/ho...All the best and have a safe journey.P.S: I am not an immigration attorney.

Can I re-enter the US for school 3 days before my F-1 visa expires ?

1) As long as the visa is still valid then you can still use it as a legal document to re-enter the U.S. Remember your I-20 also.

2) Yes, you are still considered legal if you are inside the U.S. with an expired F1 visa. Once you are inside the U.S. it is the date on your I-20 which determines your legality in the country. As long as the I-20 is still valid and as not expired then you are still legal provided you maintain a full course of study.

NB: If your visa expires while outside of the U.S, then you will require a new visa to re-enter. An expired visa is not a valid document to request re-entry.

Will I be able to enter the US 5 days before the visa expiration date?

Unless you have a return ticket (not an open ticket) which falls within the period your visa is valid for, then you are likely to be flagged by imigration before you even arrive. You will almost certainly be pulled over by immigration and if they have any grounds to suspect that you will over stay your visa you will be denied entry, and will probably be excluded from attempting to enter again for between 1 - 5 years! ITS NOT WORTH THE RISK!
